I can't recommend Mo's Phone Repair enough! I dropped my phone and the screen went completely black. I could still receive calls, but the touchscreen was completely unresponsive, so I couldn't answer or use my phone at all. Since I rely on my phone for work, I needed it fixed as soon as possible. My bf called Mo around midnight and to my surprise he answered right away and told us to come through. I arrived within 15 minutes and he immediately started working on my phone. It was fully repaired in about 15 minutes. The service was incredibly fast, professional, and reasonably priced. On top of the excellent service, there's an adorable kitten in the shop that keeps you company while you wait, which definitely made the experience even better. I was so happy with the repair that I went back the very next day to upgrade my screen to a Soft OLED and just paid the difference from the screen i got the previous day. Eureka, finally found my tech repair place!!! No ez feat.... Truly feels like the search for a good mechanic. Cuz tbh, I'm not all that tech savvy, just have devices constantly crapping out on me. The last place b4 Mo: in person, was way more $ than quoted. Was told damage worse than expected (bs) & also cuz of oem parts but in retrospect, am doubtful cuz repair was subpar. Suspect it was crappy temo parts. (Tho, wouldn't really kno anything for sure unless I opened that sucker up but then again don't even kno what to look for. Sure feels like getting car serviced.) oh, & was even more $ at pickup cuz I paid w/ card but ofc, dude didn't tell me ahead of time. Brought phone in, waited in car for 20 minutes, he texted when ready. Much to my surprise, final cost considerably cheaper than estimated. I reached out on Yelp to have my phone repaired - I specifically stated that I had a brand new screen and what I needed was someone familiar with the screw placements for my phone so that the screws were put back into the right places. My request stated that I had all brand new screws and brackets. Mo responded and quoted up to $100. which didn't seem fair considering I did not need a screen replacement. But, I accepted that because I really need to get into my phone to gain access to my social media accounts. Mo showed up to my location and I gave him my phone with brand new screen, screws, brackets, screwdrivers and everything needed to work on the phone. And, I handed him a $100 bill. 20-30min later, he returns my phone and everything I gave him. He informed me that my phone was not accepting a charge but it was recognizing the charging cable. He suggested that I clean the charging port and also try a wireless charger. I did both and My phone still wouldn't charge. I began researching other issues because I am tech savvy. If the phone won't accept a wireless charge then it can't be the charging port yet Mo wanted to charge me more to replace my charging port even though he should know that's not the problem. So, I accepted the loss of $100 and still non functional phone. But, today i opened my phone to see that Mo returned my phone to me with several screws missing. I took photos and contacted Mo with the pictures. It's sad that he didn't put the screws in when they were available and I was able to put the missing screws in within several minutes. I requested a refund because he did not do the job he was paid for. Mo has refused and completely ignores the missing screws and trying to focus on a charging port. I will be taking this to court. I will not be suckered by this man and his shady business practices. Small Claims court is no hassle to me - I won't let him get away with this. I believe he did this on purpose. Street justice would be sufficient but my heart is too good for that. Do not give cash to a dude in his car running a so called business - you're asking for trouble. This was my first and last time using a Mobil repair service. Mo is unethical , has zero integrity and Yelp should kick him off of their platform. While Mo claimed the repair was complete and the phone was "working," the screen was clearly not installed properly -- it doesn't sit flush with the frame, which is not just cosmetic but can cause serious issues like internal damage or water exposure. My screen is not working and has gone blank, flashing on and flashing off. When I reached out to address the issue, I was met with no meaningful response or agreement to refund me $175. As a consumer and an attorney, I can say this repair does not meet basic standards of workmanship and may violate California consumer protection laws. I now have to pay someone else to do the job correctly. Save yourself the trouble and go to a professional who stands behind their work. I regret trusting this service and wouldn't recommend it to anyone. In the picture below, you can see that the screen isn't even flush with the phone. Now he is offering to install a new one for $100 more. UPDATE: I took my phone for repair at the Apple Store and the Genius Bar said I was lucky my phone still worked because what Mo did to my phone was so destructive. It took the Genius Bar 4 hours to repair and $250, but it's the best money I've spent. My biggest regret is going to Mo. DO YOURSELF THE FAVOR AND GO STRAIGHT TO SOMEONE WHO KNOWS WHAT THEY ARE DOING. MO DOES NOT. He also has zero integrity and has not refunded me my $175. RESPONSE TO MO's COMMENT: I recommended him before I realized what a hack job he did on my phone.
