Jeffrey was at the front desk and decided that since trying to jump to my battery wouldn't work, it "must be the starter." Andrew M was the technician, and when I received his inspection report, none of the codes that showed up indicated anything about a starter issue. Unfortunately, it was not the starter, as my car shut off on me while I was driving just 5 days later. When I finally got the vehicle back to my house, I called Pep Boys and explained the situation. The woman on the phone told me she'd get Jeffrey; after 15 minutes on hold, I hung up and tried again - this time no greeting, they just picked up and put my call on hold again. I tried a 3rd time, and same thing. The next day I was leaving for vacation and had to rent a vehicle, on top of the $600+ I spent with PepBoys for a part I didn't even need, to safely get to my destination. I took my car to my Ford dealership when I returned from vacation, and they discovered the issue was actually a blown #9 fuse and bad purge valve. My car has not broken down since Ford serviced it. For the past month I've called Pep Boys regarding this issue and have been told a manager reviewed my case (#154026) and will call me - I've still have never heard back from anyone. I've also emailed them at least 2 times and those have gone unanswered as well. The same day, there was an older woman who came in just minutes after me with the same issue, her car wouldn't start. Jeffrey said that was a starter issue as well; also before her car was even inspected/put to a code reader. Coincidence, or were starters a sales push during that time? Considering no one has had the decency to return my calls or emails, I suspect either a guilty conscience or willful ignorance. I'm currently filing formal complaints with various entities.

I tried coming here one more time after my experience last time, never again…read more the tech began by banging on the oil cap to get it off. I am sitting in my car during the entire process Watching and listening. I've been here for an hour. Now I am watching 3 of the techs all try to change my break light. They seem to be having a hard time figuring out how to get the cover off, and i am pretty sure have broken something the way they're all talking- guess I will find out. Side note- the entire time I've been here one tech has done nothing but talk about how he loves "the hoes" that come to get their oil changed, he doesn't even seem to be working. He also proceeded to smoke weed by the bays. It doesn't seem like anyone takes their job very seriously here.

DO NOT TAKE YOUR CAR HERE UNLESS YOU WANT AN OIL LEAK WHEN YOU LEAVE!!!…read more I took my vehicle to Jiffy Lube store #37 for a simple oil change. I observed the tech through the observation window having a hard time taking the oil filter top off (he was struggling quite a bit when I observed him banging 2 metal bars together in an attempt to open or remove the oil lid). Later he came and got me and said that I had a little transmission leak. 20 mins later another Tech came to me and asked if I had a mechanic because I had a bad transmission leak. Prior to me coming on that day to get my oil changed I did not make any leaks at all coming from my vehicle. There was evidence of oil still in my car but no leaks whatsoever. I immediately took my car to the mechanic and told him what "Jiffy Lube" had said. The mechanic discovered that there was no transmission leak, and the leak was coming from a crack in the "oil housing unit" which was caused by over twerking the oil filter. Now I am beginning to leave oil marks where I park and all the oil that I just got is currently out of my vehicle. They have been giving me the run around since then. DO NOT TAKE YOUR CAR HERE UNLESS YOU WANT AN OIL LEAK WHEN YOU LEAVE!!!
