We all know that auto repairs can be costly. Cheap does not necessarily translate into competent repairs. Over this past summer, I took my 2012 Honda Accord with 160K+ miles to Shums for an oil change because my regular shop from the dealer had gone out of business. I was informed that one of my tail lights also needed to be replaced. I thought the total for the oil change and bulb replacement rather costly but also included in the service was a very thorough inspection. This took a long time but afterward the mechanic showed me in great detail what needed to be done to keep the car running safely and up to standards. This would have cost in excess of $3000 so on this basis I realized thar I'd be better off getting rid of the car and getting a new one. read more

Stay clear of this place over priced and they aren't transparent about what's wrong with your car! They'll try to make a quick buck off you!. Sometimes they'll charge you but the problem won't even be fixed. You've been warned stay clear. If you do go here please bring a mechanic that's the only way you won't be cheated here. Shum's which I've seen it all the time because it's up the street for me I always took my car to the dealership. But I think these guys do better than the dealership they do not forget anything on any concerns I have, like things I want checked on my car. Because I know how hard it is to find a great mechanic because there are mechanics that will take advantage,....these guys are awesome and I can just drop my car off and walk right down the street to my house. They are very friendly and very clean establishment it's like they have OCD lol! But I never seen a garage so clean in my life.. but I love these guys read more

Great prices great front desk personal. Once appointment is set they get you in and out. Also they do not do work on your car without your approval. Most shops will do the work before talking with you and then you are stuck with a bill you had no idea you will be paying. read more

Took my 2010 Chevy equinox to some mechanic jtm auto he told I had timing chain issues and not to drive it cause it would further damage the engine. So I waited a bit and ended up taking to Shums auto and they told I had oil Buildup which led to sludge so they end up giving it 2 oil changes and a flush and my car was back up and running very pleased with their service and I have no complaints and a reasonable price. read more

These guys are great. Super professional and they'll make sure you leave happy. They go above and beyond on the work they do. They gave me a refund after the work didn't resolve the initial problem. No argument whatsoever. No garage ever does that. We eventually came to the conclusion that it wasn't worth putting the money needed into the vehicle as it was an older truck probably on its way out anyway. The least I could do is leave them a good review. Terrible Place. The Owner Andres Lies to you right to your face with his foreign accent. My wife took her car there a few weeks ago and it came out worse. was smoking a lot out of the exhaust. He told me some crap about nothing I ever heard about the engine and I need a catalytic converter and exhaust system which I had replaced about a year earlier. Cost 800 or so. Some how the car didn't smoke for a few days but it started again the following Saturday and then stopped completely and did not run any more. I had it towed to another place and they told me they spray painted the old parts and never replaced it which caused the engine to over heat and my head gasket blew. Now I had to junk the car and I have none. Thanks A lot Buddy. When I confronted him about it he just laughed at me and told me I was crazy and stupid and to leave before he called the cops on me . NEVER GO HERE!!! NEVER. read more

And they gave me a towing company info and i got a great towing price as well.
