Busy quite often and the customer service is ok. Gas on the pricier side but I mean it is near the university so that's expected.

This is the second time we have stopped at the UCR Mobil gas station, and im glad we did. We come to visit our daughter who attends the collage. This time we got a car wash, and our car came out very nice and clean, and only $7, plus we were given a towel to keep After driving a long distancr, using a bathroom is usually top of mind, and the Best part of coming here is the bathroom is CLEAN .Our 2nd time now, and just as clean and stocked as the first This is important to me, and we will be coming back to Mobil on our next visit. :) read more

Dear ExxonMobil. Team, First, let me say, I do not leave comments/feedback often. Like many, it happens when I am deeply disappointed and even more rarely when I've been impressed My son reminds me today of something we experienced  a couple of weeks ago at one of your gas stations.  Allow me to detail a recent out of town visit to your location at  1147 University Ave., in Riverside CA.   This past month my son and I took a field trip together, as he is graduating  high school and UCR Riverside is one of two schools he wants to attend, so we came to Riverside to do the campus tour and feel things out. Our trip from the bay area was really rough, accidents and traffic putting us in Riverside in the early hours of the morning. We needed gas so decided the Mobil right at the university exit would be best, closer to our hotel. As I am trying to put gas in my car, the pump keeps popping/stopping, won't stay on, and I'm getting frustrated and thinking, how did I pick a place with a broken pump? Just as I am telling my son we're going somewhere else, up walks a guy in a red Mobil shirt asking if he can help. I wasn't very nice but told him sure, give it a try. He smiles and says these new suburban's can be tricky to get the nozzle into, he then puts the pump in the tank and the gas starts and keeps going until its full. (We took my husband's new suburban and I'd never put gas in it before) Then the attendant asks if we were traveling or lived locally, I told him about our long trip, and then he says, would you like something from the store? Use the bathroom maybe? So, I apologized for being gruff and we went inside and used the bathroom, my son a got snack and I was truly grateful we  decided to stop at this Mobil station. I cannot remember the attendants name, but he was an older man and had a big mustache. Please tell him thank you for being so kind, for being friendly even so I was a little rude and that we did try the car wash on our way out of town. I stopped here several times for gas. They are not the cheapest but they are convenient when you need gas and are in the area. It doesn't hurt that they have a car wash either. Atmosphere: 4 stars. One has to drive West on University to get here. Its inconvenient otherwise. The inside has the usual gas station drink and snacks, along with an atm. It does have a car wash and I consider that a plus even if I don't use it. I did use it though, typical splash water, spray soap, go over it with some rubber flaps, spray some more water, and blow air dry. Well, I have to say, it got off the bird dodo. Service: 5 stars. I believe his name was Abel. He provided me with five star customer service with I came in to prepay for gas and a car wash. He was polite and helpful when I asked him some questions. Quality: 3 stars. It was gasoline. I didn't think much of it to begin with except our cars need it to drive. Value: 3 stars. There are cheaper places if you have the time and patience to go the distance to find them. It is also cheaper if you pay cash! At least they say that on the sign with the gas prices. I know it is partly to cover the cost of the credit card service but I also believe it is a business tactic to get people inside their store to be exposed to their selection of snacks and drinks. read more

My brother likes coming here for their low cash prices, I don't like coming here because as an out-of-towner, it's RIDICULOUSLY difficult to get here if you're coming from the wrong direction! Such poor placement... you can't turn left or make a U-turn at the nearest 2 lights. There are cameras, don't try it. Besides the one pro and con, it's basically like any other gas station. This gas station is right by work and it has a car wash. So since I have a really nice car and I dare share up to work in a car that has dirt on it, I run it through this car wash. Since they've upgraded it, it's much better than it used to be, however, sometimes it isn't operational and that is disappointing. I say that because I RARELY drive to work since I vanpool So given the times that I do drive, compared to the times that the carwash has been down, I wonder how often it is down. HMMmmmmmm. Sorry, based on that and the fact that the prices here aren't that great either. Can't give it more than three stars. I'd give it a half star if I could because it does take Bear Bucks, which is a UCR card that UCR Employees and Students have and can use, there. DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY AT THE CAR WASH!! They have a nice little scheme that you pay less for gas if you buy the car wash, but the car wash makes your car even worse then it is before... How? It doesn't clean! All it really does is sprinkle water and soap. Do not use this car wash at all! read more

Their car wash is a complete waste of money and time. My car looks nearly the same after the wash cycle. On top of that, the pump didn't work properly so I only able to put about 3 gallons of discounted gas in my car. I was slightly crunched for time so I didn't try to address my issues with the clerk. Don't bother with their car wash. read more

Never staffed properly, employees will "be back in 10 mins" seems to be the norm here. This happens almost every time I'm here.

The Cash Wash here doesn't work at all! Cycled twice and came out with soap and dirt all over my car! What even worst was I inserted $10 for the express wash which was $6, the machine didn't give me any change. So weird. Just waste of time and money..... read more

Went into the station to get gas and when I was outside pumping my gas, Manny the nice attendant inside rushed out to bring my my wallet that I left on the counter. Now that is customer service BUT today I did not have Manny as my attendant when I purchased a car wash NO I had someone else and things did not go to well SO I will resume this review after I talk to the store manager on Monday (Labor Day) because the attendant today was not very helpful.............see you in a couple of days with my review of Mobile Station on University! read more

AVOID THIS PLACE AT ALL COSTS!!! AT LEAST ONE OF THE CASHIERS IS A THIEF!!! I bought a large soda from the fountain ($1.69) and handed the cashier, a bearded gentleman, what I thought was two $1 bills from my wallet. I didn't realize that a $20 bill was stuck between the $1 bills. After the cashier took my bills, I saw the $20 bill in his hand and asked for it back. He refused to return it, stating that I had given him three $1 bills. I argued with him, but he refused to budge. I realize that this problem resulted from my carelessness. However, there's no excuse for the blatant dishonesty on the part of the clerk. I have patronized this gas station often because it is on a route that I normally take. I WILL NEVER GIVE THESE THIEVES ANOTHER CENT OF MY MONEY. There are two Arco stations within a few blocks with far lower prices, so who needs to deal with this garbage? read more
