This free, just make sure to tell the cashier so they can turn it on.

The gas station is clean and well lit. We went to fill the air in my tires. We pull up to the machine, deposit our quarters, and begin to fill our tires. The connection is NOT fantastic. However: here is the reason for the 4 stars; I went inside to get more quarters and the cashier looks at me and says I don't need quarters because it's free. I told her it didn't turn on unless we put in the quarters. Then ANOTHER cashier appears to show me they have a remote and they turn it on for free from inside. We were there easily 20 minutes before I went inside. I'm disappointed the cashiers didn't notice us and didn't offer a refund for the money we had already deposited at least out of politeness.

POLICE CALLED OVER "FAKE" $5 BILL Came in On Monday 2/3/2020 around 10:30 am with a $5 bill to buy a drink for my girlfriend and they were short on the flavors that she wanted. So I waited awhile for her to respond as I texted her the flavors that they had at the time so she can decide. I then head to the cashier with abStrawberry Reign in hand and Pratim who claims to be the Manager, and two other unknown persons behind the register were convinced the bill was fraudulent, the unknown guy even made a snarky remark such as "did you just make this" and they pass it back n forth saying it's fake. I asked them if they have anything that they can actually check the bill with, a machine or something, Because there is no way it is fake. And they tell me no, I asked a couple times. No. (This is important) no machine, no markers, apparently. ok, and I left and went back into work. My job has professional bill scanners so I went back in and we scanned the bill proving it was real. I then went back with the same bill and another just in case so I can buy the drink. Before I could even speak Pratim all of a sudden has the ability to check the bill in question. I continued to ask him if the bill was real or fake. But he didn't want me to speak to him while he was doing it. Asking me if I'm going to let him check it or not, and to stop talking to him. He then proceed to refuse me service. I headed back into work and I tell my girlfriend that the cashier refused me service. So she decided to go and grab her drink herself. Pratim accepts the same bill I was told was fake, No questions asked, didn't even check it. I head back in to confront him about the situation and ask him why he decided to check my $5 bill but didn't check the same $5 bill that my girlfriend just spent 5 minutes a go. At this point he cannot answer my question and says "that is a conversation for the police" And so he proceeded to call seal beach police department and I waited patiently. When the officer showed up, I stepped outside and later another patrol car followed, me and my girlfriend told him what had happened and the officer understood our stand point and we were able to leave, Pratim told the officer that the guy that was there was the manager, but he told me that he was the Manager. If you're asking about what my girlfriend may look like. She is in my profile picture

So I had to wait for the cashier to come out the restroom for 10 min , there was no one around! The store was unattended and no one taking care of it . Second when she finally came out and I told her how much I wanted of gas , and when I went to the gas pump it still wasn't ready . I had to go back in twice in order to ask if it was ready ! Please just go the arco down the street

    Uh, no.

Drove in here today and the manager/owner was stocking boxes of sodas out front: Me: "Hey, your sign out front is misspelled." Him: "Really? Where?" Me: "That one -- Vacuum." (see photo) Him: "Oh yeah." Me: "I laugh every time I drive by." Him: "Well, at least you're getting something good from it." Seriously? This sign has been misspelled in two different places for just about as long as I can remember. Who does that and then makes no move to change or update or even apologize for it? Makes me want to hop up there with a can of spray paint. Other than that utter stupidity, this place has a small mart and a car wash in back that's automated, but they've hired a couple guys to dry your car so that they can charge more for the overall wash. They also used to fill your propane tank (not just switch it out,) and they don't do that anymore. There's a 76 at the corner of Seal Beach and Bradbury that still does. I go there now for propane and for gas.

Very early 60's ..... if you like that kind of store. A real nostalgic market loaded with just about everything you need for the day. This place is busy during the summer because it's about 1/2 mile from Main St. So walking to DTSB to get drinks, chips, etc for the beach, then walking back is a real pain, hence Dolphin Market is a true "convenience" store for beach goers, as well as for locals. I'm sure everyone can recall the small mom & pop corner market where they grew up, how it held untold treasures behind cabinets, under shelves and in the coolers. Cold soda pop, NiHis, jaw-breakers, ice cream bars, it was all here. Remember asking your parents for a quarter and running off with your friends to that market? Ken, the proprietor, says he owns over fifty surfboards. And I believe him cuz I think a third of them are here. They hang from the ceiling, lean against walls or lie on the floor waiting for some attention. Mop-headed, blond-haired kids come in wearing nothing more than bathing suits covered in sand and dried saltwater to stare in wide wonder at the waves these boards must have seen in their day. 8x10" faded photographs of ancient surf stars sliding down monstrous waves cover holes in the walls. Bobble-heads, mostly baseball characters, stare down impassively and watch the show from on high between rows of collectible Coke cans and the flotsam and jetsam of a lifelong collector. This is Ken's world. Wife "Barbie" runs their day care center. Maintaining two businesses means the "Open" sign isn't hung regularly but, as summer approaches, you'll spot it more and more as you walk up from the beach looking for that cold brew and hot story of how that ceiling-slung "Trestles Special" once carved delicious tracks across a sparkling blue wave. Deep love indeed.

I gave the man at the register a coupon for a free item the manufacture sent me to replace a bad one. He worked on this coupon for what seemed like 20 minutes trying to get the machine to take it. He kept on scanning it over and over--tried a different register--he was so frustrated but kept on trying different ideas to get it to work. I think in the end--he just said, "get out of here--just take it." I liked that he did not give up--he fought the good fight with the coupon. Free and easy parking. On June 17, 2026, at around 4 or 4:30 pm the CVS Seal Beach location, I experienced verbal…read moreaggression, unprofessional conduct, and discriminatory treatment from the Photo Department Manager, Shaun S. His behavior escalated to the point where he yelled at me, pointed his finger at me, refused service, and ordered me to leave the store. Detailed Account of What Happened I visited the store for the third time to resolve issues with a photo order that had repeatedly been produced incorrectly. I also came to ask to print again a poster order that arrived without the adhesive backing required to mount it. When I approached the photo counter, Shaun asked for my last name. While he searched the system, I tried to locate the order on my phone, but the reception was poor. In a calm tone, I mentioned--using my usual affectionate language such as "sweetie"--that perhaps the team needed better training to avoid repeated mistakes with this product. Escalation by the Photo Manager Shaun became visibly impatient and told me harshly that he could not find the order and that I should reorder it. When I pointed out his tone, he raised his voice even more, insisting he was not being harsh. He then yelled to another employee to take over because he was "done with me," and he slammed the gate as he left the counter area. As a Latina woman, being yelled at by a man is culturally understood as verbal aggression. I stated that, while this behavior may be (I emphasize, may be) acceptable in his culture, it is considered unacceptable toward a woman in my culture. Aggressive Behavior Continues Shaun returned even more furious. He harshly ordered his employee to stop helping me, and then yelled at me to leave the store, effectively kicking me out. While the store manager, Nikki, was present, Shaun continued yelling across the counter, calling me a liar and making other comments I cannot fully recall due to the intensity of the situation. At one point, he moved closer behind the counter, pointing his finger at me repeatedly while yelling. Nikki attempted to calm him, but he did not listen to her. Cultural Context Nikki said I should not have mentioned "his culture." I explained to Nikki that in my culture, men yelling at women, pointing fingers, and speaking aggressively is considered verbal abuse, and I would not tolerate it. My comment about "his culture" was in the context of explaining why his behavior was especially offensive and unacceptable to me. I told her it felt like she was siding with the employee rather than the customer, and she responded that she stands by her employees. End of the Interaction Nikki advised me to reorder the poster at another location. I began walking toward the exit, but I firmly stated that Shaun lacked manners and basic customer service skills. He continued yelling sarcastically, repeating "God bless you" in a mocking tone. She once again attempted to calm him down; however, he clearly did not respect her, as he continued yelling at me and ignored her request to stop his behavior. Summary of Misconduct 1) Verbal aggression and yelling 2) Refusal of service 3) Ordering a customer to leave the store 4) Finger-pointing and intimidating body language 5) Hostile escalation instead of problem-solving 6) Failure of the store manager to protect the customer or de-escalate effectively Why This Matters This was neither a misunderstanding nor a difference in cultural perspectives. It was unprofessional, hostile, and discriminatory behavior from an employee in a position of authority. No customer should be treated this way, and no woman should be yelled at or intimidated by a male manager in a public business.
