He asked me to help him iron his suit and prepare the saddle for him on the day of the big ride and everything was going great until we the kangaroo showed up. THis Kangaroo was a big fella. He was fighter and a real mustang type of animal and my friend Jack started getting nervous as hell. I was soothing his nerves telling him that it was the right thing to do and keeping his spirits up. Instead of riding the kangaroo to the girls house Jack put the kangaroo in his truck and planned on riding it the last mile. When the kangaroo got in the whole affair turned ugly and the kangroo messed up the truck big time so we had to wash it a couple days later. We brought the truck here and it was really good for cleaning it.

You can stroll in on Sunday and buy a four-pack of Heady Topper, which I don't believe you can do anywhere else in the world on Sunday. As beer geeks know, The Alchemist's Heady Topper is widely regarded as the best beer you can buy (#1 on Beer Advocate). As beer tourists know, Heady Topper is distributed only on weekdays and only in a short radius from the brewery, which is now closed to the public. You can (legally) buy Heady Topper no farther East than Barre, no farther South than Warren, no farther West than Burlington, and no farther North than Morrisville. Because the beer is highly sought after and delivered only on weekdays, there's generally no place to get cans of it on the Weekend (all of the cases at Hunger Mountain are consumed within hours of delivery on Friday, for example). EXCEPT for this Mobil. They do something I don't believe any other Alchemist vendor does; they split their Thursday shipment up into four parts and make some available every day Thu-Sun. That means if you arrive early enough on Sunday you can buy a heady topper. If you're a working stiff in Boston, you can visit Vermont on the weekend knowing you will come home with four pints of perfect, glorious Heady Topper DIPA. ...If you get there early enough. They open 6 AM. Heady topper in middle fridge in the back on the top. It went flat within a couple of hours. I took it to another shop and they found the leak right away and fixed it. They showed me that one of the lug nuts has been stripped, forced on to the post and told me the post and lug nut had to be replaced. They said that Perrys needed to take care of it for me as they were the ones who did this. When I called Perrys the manager got angry and did not want to fix it. finally he told me to bring it in. All he did was put a new lug nut on it and told me there was nothing wrong with the post. He refused to fix it. He did not show me, he was just defensive and stated there was no problem.

I snagged a medium-sized bowl of hearty chili for about $3 and it was a very generous portion. Considering I was up here for a ski weekend, I'd have probably paid about $7-$8 for that same bowl on the mountain. Staff were extremely friendly - all the more reason to shop small businesses and support the local community!
