They made my child cry and scream as they drilled into her teeth as they messed up her nerves and made her teeth ultra sensitive as she couldn't even close her mouth then tried to claim it was because of her having an off center bite I want you all to beware before sending your child to this dentistry as they have caused my child major pain and problems in her mouth. Highly do not recommend taking your child to Mobile Bay Dental and Vision. After requesting records (while we were there yesterday at 10am) they stated they would be emailed asap. They never emailed them by 4pm, so they were called and they still never sent them after saying they were going to send them before they closed. We went today for an appointment and asked for the records again - they gave us three printed out sheets that did not state any of the prior procedures and treatments. We asked for a detailed report that I know is available as should all healthcare information be, for the patient, and they refused it. They're now saying "the doctor has to review the paperwork" and that we have to come back tomorrow. Mind you, this is an hour drive Due to asking for the records again today, they refused the appointment that was at 8am, which was we waited on until in the building until 9:15am. Their reasoning was "someone else was probably before you." Yet, we were there at 8am, they unlocked the doors for us, and had an 8:00am appointment and no one else was there. MIND YOU, this all stemmed from the fact that a root canal was performed and a cap placed. The cap did not stay on and had to be replaced 4 times. They never once cleaned when they put the cap back on, NOTHING. Simply cemented it back. All of a sudden "the tooth will probably be lost" which is a permanent molar in a 17 year olds mouth, which has never been discussed before. They stated she needed a root canal specialist because they do not do that. Therefore, we asked who they recommended - they said they cannot help us and "I don't know." This is the reason the records were requested - to have proof of prior treatment and complaints by the patient in question to take to a specialist that we could find. The lady at the front desk - Andrea O. - was very rude, as well as the front desk manager who stated that "you wont be treated anymore for what you said yesterday." What was said yesterday was that financially, a specialist cannot be afforded without Medicaid for a problem that was due to the dentist that performed the root canal - as in, Mobile Bay would be held accountable for the poor work they performed if needed. Yet, if this was a problem at 10am YESTERDAY, why did they then book an appointment for today at 8am? This is POOR practice, unhygienic, unprofessional, and downright rude when someone is asking for their own health records and has their legal guardian with them - THEIR PARENT. This place has caused the probable loss of a permanent tooth, as well as now refusing treatment for the current problem she was there for an appointment with today. Now I'm not nor is my family the type to jump over a counter, scream, cuss you out, etc - but this is ridiculous and being treated the way we were, and the treatment recieved was below POOR. read more

I got to my daughters appt at 9:31 and still had to wait til about 10:25 to be seen. horrible wait times and they never have availability. this appt was booked months in advance. my time is precious and I will not be returning. read more

We just moved here & I selected this dental office because it's on my insurance & close to my house. I was a little concerned, though, because of some the the reviews here. No problem, though. They took me right in at my appointment time, did the xrays & cleaning right away, then the dentist came in & did her exam. I was out of there in 1/2 hour, and everyone was super nice, the office was very clean, and my experience was fantastic! read more

Don't waste your time at this dentist office. They will do a root canal and then when your temporary comes off, they send you home to glue it on yourself. They then continuously cancel your permanent crown placement and then blame you for rescheduling when you work full time and also have other drs appointments. They then dismiss you as a patient without informing you and send your permanent crown back to the lab so you're left without anything sitting on top of your root canal. Although I'm 8 months pregnant, the root canal was done over a month ago, and now my insurance won't cover anybody else working on this specific tooth because they paid this clinic for the work they couldn't finish. They will also dismiss you as a patient with no warning for somebody on your HIPAA agreement calling and apparently being rude even though you as a patient did nothing wrong. So thank Mobile Bay Dental and Dr, Gast for leaving me with a root canal with no crown placement on top so my tooth can eventually crumble because it has no structure to it and it's a back tooth. If I would have known all of this I would've went to another dentist to begin with. The staff is also unprofessional up front. They will also schedule you fillings for other teeth months in advance, to turn around and tell you 4 days prior to that filling appointment that they don't have a Dr on staff to do the fillings and they can't reschedule those because they don't have a Dr that can do them. I would give 0 stars if I could. I've never had such a terrible experience anywhere. read more

This is the worst dental place in Mobile. My daughter had a broken tooth, couldn't eat or anything. We went to our appointment & they rescheduled us to come back to get her broken tooth fixed 2 MONTHS LATER. Then, I got a text message the other day saying they canceled her appointment due to staffing issue. Thankfully, the problem has already been taken care of. But, do not take your kids here. The "dentists" don't even really look over your kids teeth. They take a 2 minute look, if even that. read more

They are so incompetent here. Every month for the last 5 months they say money is due when it isn't. And every month they say they will fix it so it doesn't happen next time. Completely overbook their patients. Says to me that MY time is not valuable. I had an 8am appt for the offfice , which OPENS at 8am. Meaning I am the first group of patients. Great eye doctor but front desk people very unprofessional and glasses are cheaply made.

My experience there was awsome. Some of the best people you will meet. Just good people. They will treat you the same weather you have bad teeth or have a Hollywood smile. They take there time and really make sure everything is the way you like it before you leave. The girls at the front desk are great to. Any billing question you have they can answer it. read more

I don't even know where to start. I feel like the staff was very unprofessional. People were constantly in and out of the room, asking questions, getting supplies having personal conversations over my mouth. Which would have been better had they not been having problems fitting the crown but I felt as though they should have been more focused on that than on greys anatomy. We were there for 3 hours for a fill in and a crown. When it was time to check out there was only one person at the desk and a line of people waiting. When asked if there was assistance available the front desk clerk just told us to call back and schedule an appointment if necessary. Which isn't what we needed but we ended up leaving anyway.
