My hard drive was crashing. I called Darren on Monday, 10/20/25, at 3:00 PM. He had Carlo out to my house within 1 hour. Carlo was absolutely great. He was polite and had great attention to detail. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND THIS COMPANY!!! Our main design computer crashed. I called and Darren answered. I explained the urgency of the situation and Carlo was onsite in about 1.5 hrs. Turns out the motherboard died. He quickly gave us the options for a new motherboard, and once we decided on the one we wanted, he packed up our desktop and said he will be back tomorrow with the computer. The next day he returned before noon with our computer. The thing looked & ran like it was brand new. He updated the operating system and installed all our printers/peripherals and connected it to the network. While he was here, we had him do some fixes to our other computers & printers. If I could give 10 stars for these IT guys, I would. My workplace was having some technical challenges, and I worked for two weeks on troubleshooting the issues without any success. The problems were simply beyond my abilities. I was granted approval to hire an I.T. guy, and after many conversations, I went with Mobile Computer Repair. The owner, Darren, spent nearly an hour of his own time in three different evening phone calls from me last night. He was knowledgeable, friendly, mellow, and amazingly patient with my questions. He had two techies out to my workplace the very next day. Today, Carlo and Charles came to my workplace, and these fellows were amazing. They conquered every system issue I had, and they did not give up when one glitch in particular was blocking them. Darren had estimated by phone that the job should not take more than an hour and a half. Everything seemed straightforward by phone. So when Carlo and Charles got blocked, they stopped charging us at the two-hour mark. However, these guys persisted, and worked another hour until they were able to resolve the issue.They only charged us for two hours. Fellow Yelpers: this company also offers a Yelp check-in service of 20% off the first hour. Carlo and Charles really took down my stress today, and they will be by go-to IT fellows from here on in. I needed a hard drive replacement on a 27" iMac. Darren quoted $100 for labor and $279 for a 1 terabyte SanDisk SSD for a total price of $379. That was a great price so I asked him to come down to replace the hard drive. Tony came down and installed the drive with no issues. I encountered a problem -- the inability to play uploaded DVDs to my MacBook. I tried my own research (to no avail) and spent time with chatting on-line with Apple (while their instructions were probably correct, I wasn't able to translate that into a successful solution. I Yelped for computer repair and Mobile Computer Repair was both locale and the recipient of very high ratings. I reached out via email to determine if they could, in fact, solve my problem. Darren replied very quickly and we subsequently spoke -- he assured me that they could resolve the problem. We arranged a time for today and Carlo arrived within the stated window. He readily understood the problem, spent less than 30 minutes working on it, and then clearly explained what to do going forward. We had a network issue where the speed was not acceptable for our new computers. Darren sent someone out within hours after my first call to him. Although they were unable to take care of the issue that day (we were too busy to bring down the network to fix the problem), Darren came out at a pre-arranged time the following week (when we weren't so busy) and took care of the problem in a very short time period. Post script: I subsequently spent all of $30 on a piece of data recovery software online and within minutes began to successfully transfer my entire storehouse of files--with the original filenames--from this hard drive, so I'm not sure how much "difficulty" was involved. I wish I had been given a proper diagnosis and estimate at some point so I could have been given the option to cancel service in full knowledge of the problem and their proposed solution. As an independent businessperson, I rely heavily on my technology working the way it is supposed to work. Unfortunately from time to time stuff doesn't work. Had another computer issue--Armen told me what the problem was. His fix didn't quite solve it in the allotted hour, so he gave me advice on how to fix it after my computer was done thinking. He tweaked a couple of things, set the computer to restart and update, and voila---it worked after he left! No one arrived, so I called the company's number and got an answering machine. I left a message and then called a few of their other numbers and left messages, asking where they were. These folks are amazing. Had some network issues in my small business (12 employees/workstation, 2 servers and a bunch of networked printers/scanners. Highly recommended! My computer died and i did not know what to do. Buy a new one or get help. I called around a few places like the Geek Squad and no one was helpful. Carlo was AMAZING!!! I called Mobile Computer Repair because my computer was overrun by a virus. I was told that the technician would be at my home between 1 pm - 3 pm and Carlo was here at 1 pm on the dot. He was able to come and to my home while I was working and look at my computer without distracting me at all. Carlo was the technician that came to my home, he was very nice and knowledgeable about everything on my computer. Carlo even reassured me that I had a pretty good computer besides the virus. He worked extremely fast and was actually done with my computer in about an hour. I have noticed that my computer is running faster than it ran prior and I was able to keep all of my programs which was very important to me.
