I am completely devastated by what happened to me by this company. This is lengthy, but worth the read if you are taking your device to them. I took my laptop computer here over two months ago. I brought it in for a very simple issue: one key that was not working on the keyboard. 2 months later, I went to pick up the computer and was told that while the technician was trying to remove the keyboard from the computer the motherboard was impacted and my computer no longer works. He showed me my computer and it was in pieces. But BEFORE he fully explained this to me, he charged me $260 and gave me a laptop that looked just like mine, and mumbled something about all the time it took him to fix my laptop. I didn't fully understand what he was saying because he was complaining somewhat incoherently and going off on tangents. It wasn't until after I paid and as I was about to leave that I looked down and saw a chip on the computer he had given me that wasn't previously there. I then asked him to clarify what had happened and after several attempts, he explained that as he was trying to replace the keyboard, he impacted the motherboard and my computer was no longer useable. He then took it upon himself to purchase a used computer that was similar to mine. He did this all without ever calling to inform me of what had happened to my computer (despite me reaching out several times for a status over the course of the month) or even calling to ask me what resolution I would be open to. I was FLOORED. When I asked him why he didn't tell me what had happened before trying to conceal it and pass off a computer that wasn't mine as my original laptop, his response was "I didn't want you to freak out." I was calm. I told him that what he did was unprofessional and that I would not have agreed to accept a used laptop. I explained that I have no idea where he got the computer from, that I have no intention of using someone else's computer, especially since I do not know if this used computer has any problems. He agreed and said that until the computer is used, there is no way of knowing if it has any issues, but that he knew of no other solution. He offered a 60 day warranty on the computer. I could not believe this was his idea of a fair resolution. I asked him to refund me the $260 I had paid and he said he would not, because what I paid for was a new keyboard, and that is what he was giving me. Again, FLOORED. I asked where he got this laptop from and he said from the internet. He said it took him hours to find a computer similar to mine and he admitted that the true condition of the laptop was not known and would not be known until it is actually used. The cherry on top: When I checked my computer, a significant amount of my data from the computer was missing. He had no explanation for why this was, but confirmed by comparing the data usage that in fact data was missing. I left my computer there and I was assured that the missing data would be recovered. When I returned some 3 or so days later, the data was not recovered and the tech didn't know why. I took the imposter computer home that first day because I wanted to ensure that my data was safe while the external hard drive the tech asked me to bring in was being loaded. I told the tech that I had no intention of keeping the computer. I reached out to the owner in hopes that I could resolve this. I explained to the owner what happened and asked for him to pay for a portion of a new laptop (same model). The technician told me he paid $550 for the imposter computer. I asked the owner to take back the imposter computer and give me $700 to resolve this (this is only $150 more than what they allegedly paid for the imposter computer). I would be assuming the rest of the costs, which would be about $400 out of pocket. The owner even agreed with me that what the tech did was wrong and that he, himself, would not want a used laptop. The owner said he would not be giving me any money and that instead, they were willing to FIX my computer. FYI: My computer is in pieces. I have the bottom portion of my computer, which I have attached a photo of, but the tech refused to give me the screen to my laptop because he wanted to sell it. Unbelievable. I told the owner that I (rightfully) did not want his company performing any work on my devices and that his suggestion was confusing given the fact that his technician had told me that there was no way to fix my computer, which is why he purchased this imposter computer without my consent in the first place. Why should I trust these people to work on my laptop after all of the shoddy work and dishonesty? 1. You demolished my computer 2. You lied about demolishing it 3. You tried to pass off someone else's computer as mine 4. You told me that my computer could not be fixed and now you are saying you will fix it....Shall I go on? I am so upset I don't even know where to begin. read more

They helped me replace my desktop's power supply after it sparked and died. Pretty scary experience and I had no issues with getting the work done and the machine has been running smoothly without any hitches! I did, however, wish that I had asked more questions about the type of part that was being replaced and if it came with a manufacturer's warranty (most likely not). It just keeps getting better with these guys. A few weeks ago I took my computer in to get a battery replacement. They did the job by appointment, which was great! Then, three weeks later the battery started to malfunction giving off a "Service Battery" warning. I called up Comp-Pros. They had a new battery available overnight. All I had to do was show up to do the repair. In fact, I tried to drop off the computer during No Parking hours and finding a parking spot was a problem. I called the manager and he came out to my car to get the machine as I pulled up. THIS IS GREAT SERVICE. My experience is great technical service and customer service second to none. read more

My Notebook had some screen issues and being skeptical of different computer repair places, I decided to give it a shot here and wasn't disappointed at all. Kelly was very professional and friendly from the phone call to in-person visit. She was upfront and very clear about their PC repair services and also told me of how much would they charge if my notebook has to be opened for repairs. They took about 4 business days to get the video cable which is what Kelly told me and was right on target about that. Video cable in my notebook was the main issue, they installed a new one and since then my screen works fine without going blank when it's not powered on. read more

Needed a bunch of data from the hard drive of my MacBook Air 2015 when my logic board died, and I didn't want to pay Apple $500 to fix the whole computer. Because I knew that all I needed was to copy data from my SSD, they waived the ~$60 diagnostic fee. I paid $65 to get all my data restored from my old laptop to a new one, and it was an extremely quick process, taking about a day. I had been looking up how to do it all myself online, but for my model it required buying several adapters and tools, and I'm not at all hardware-savvy. It'd probably be cheaper to do it yourself but ultimately (for me) not worth the anxiety and hassle. First off I'm gonna just say it and get it over with so I can concentrate on the rest of this... Allen is very attractive...I'm sorry but that's just the truth...even i can admit that...lol So I've been contemplating for a couple months for someone to run a Search engine optimization to drum up more customers for my tutoring job. I finally came across Computer Professionals through a friend. After speaking over the phone with Allen, he assigned me an account executive to take me through the different package options, and what fit my budget best. I explained to Yasmin (my account exec) how i meet clients and the kind of business and subjects I teach and all the things I offer. She was really nice and sweet and helped me with all my issues. Fast forward 4 months. I'm constantly in touch with Yasmin. She's always really courteous and responsive to all my questions/emails/calls. She gives me a monthly report after every month showing the progress my business is making, the traffic to my website, and a whole bunch of other stuff that I don't understand -tech mumbo jumbo. But the best part is that I really am seeing a good amount of progress with my website and the new clients i'm getting. Allen helped me organize my leads to track where they come from. I've kinda teeter-tottered between 4 stars and 5 stars with this one... I had two computers that I wanted Allen to take a look at: One (old) MacBook Pro and one (really old) Sony Vaio desktop. The Mac would power on but I couldn't get the OS to boot. The Sony just wouldn't power up. I pretty much just wanted to get the data off of the hard drives and be done with both of the computers. Allen said he would take a look. Because I was living in West LA at the time I called him, he offered to swing by and pick up the MacBook which made it super convenient for me! My Sony Vaio was in the South Bay so I dropped it off at his office. Allen would call often to give me updates regarding the status of my computers. It was especially helpful if he found he needed to order a new part or perform a procedure that would cost extra. It's nice to gauge how much service might cost me so I'm not surprised later. In the end, the data was not recovered from either computer. Sad trombone :( ...BUT, Allen explained exactly what was preventing the data from being recovered. The MacBook had a certain type of disc error. Data recovery is still possible however it would involve a process beyond his services. He would refer me to a company that would involve engineers and a vacuum sealed room essentially costing about a grand. I didn't need the files on there that badly. The Sony Vaio had an issue with a part that prevented it from powering up. Because it was a super old computer, Allen didn't have the part nor the ability to purchase the part to recover the data for me. But he did recommend me to a place that specializes in data recovery for a flat rate so hopefully I will have better luck there. To sum it up, service was great! I thought about docking one star since my data didn't get recovered but it would be unfair for me to penalize them for something that was beyond their ability. I'm actually quite grateful that they didn't try to do anything further than what they are experts at because it could potentially cause more damage in case I do take it to the more expensive experts. And Allen DID make it easy for me by providing me his expert referrals so less work for me. In all honesty, if something were to happen to my latest computer (knock on wood), I would take it to Allen. It's official, I have a computer guy! So if a friend ever says "aww crap, my computer broke!" I could say "dude, you should totally call up my computer guy!" :D read more

I'm giving this review for Comp Pro's great customer service. I had a Macbook Air with a water spill. I dried my laptop for two days without turning it on. After turning on and working well for two days afterward, my laptop would not turn on again. The tech told me it would be about $350-$400, with a 50/50 chance of working. There is a $65 disassembly and diagnostic fee. I agreed to proceed. I was later told that my laptop had extensive water damage, and it would be $450 to repair. Since I'm a student, I asked for a discount, dfand got it down to $405. Panta, the store manager, later called me to tell me that my computer would need its logic board replaced because the cleanup did not work. This replacement would cost $550, and Panta quoted me at $510 for everything that would be done: water cleanup (that did not work), logic board replacement, and installation of OS. I am definitely not computer savvy, but this was definitely cheaper than then $750 I was quoted at the Apple store (which I believe is the price they quote to all people who come in with laptop water damage). As a broke college student with limited computer knowledge, I weighted the pros and cons of getting a new laptop versus investing in an old one. Ultimately, I didn't go through with replacement because I was afraid other problems might pop up later in my computer (which, who knows, may or may not have happened). At this point, Panta told me that since the repair did not work, I would pay $65. I thought this was extremely fair. She also told me that my computer would be ready the next business day. I came in one business day later under the impression that the laptop was ready, and the tech told me it wasn't ready. At this point, I felt frustrated. Panta gave me a call later and told me she was extremely sorry this had happened, especially since she knows how this process may have been frustrating to me, and told me she would waive the $65 diagnostic fee. I definitely didn't expect this. Comp Pros called me later to tell me that my laptop was ready, and I came by. The tech asked me for $65, and I had to tell him that Panta had waived the fee. He then called her and confirmed. Overall, I think the business could improve communications between their managers and techs, but the way that Panta handled the different situations was extremely understanding and professional. I would definitely recommend Comp Pros to others. read more

I just have good words for this place and for Antonio and Andrey. I went the first time with a mining motherboard that was driving me crazy. I usually build my computers and mining rigs but I couldn't figure out how to make this one work. Andrey and Antonio were amazing and they fixed it for me. I brought it home and it wasn't working who knows why, so they took a second look next day and they fixed it and made sure that all was working well. Antonio also replaced the thermal pads of one of my GPU's and now I'm very happy with the final result. I'm sure I'll be back. I was not impressed by the one time I used them. I brought a desktop and laptop to get repaired. After two weeks of no word from them, I had to call several times to get them to fix things and give them back. The desktop needed a new hard drive and was straight forward but my laptop, which was brought in for a charging issue, came back with the keyboard not working very well, the rubber feet missing and none of the screws seem to be flush any more.
