She just used a ln alcohol wipe on her hands. She then put her hand on me and prayed to Jesus for a full 5 minutes. THEN, the company harassed me, calling me demanding money. I keep telling them that I paid for my service and will do the rest of blood work elsewhere, but they call me every other day for a month. When I finally blocked their number, they called my doctor's office and left a weird message for me to call them. When I did, the guy demanded payment again. They finally acknowledged that I don't owe them anything and tried to get me schedule with them again.

Understand that my mother was brought to the home and immediately put into hospice care through Ace Hospice. The hospice nurses were over the top wonderful. When you are in a rush trying to find a board and care home for a loved one whose days are numbered, you tend to sign things without really reading them thoroughly. They have a clause in their contract that states that there will be no refund for monthly rent. Meaning if you pay a new months rent and your loved one passes away the next day, you forfeit all of the rest of the months rent. My mother passed away 7 days into the new month. I expected to get back a pro-rated months rent. That's when they bring up the clause in the contract and keep your money. If you decide to move your loved one here, be aware of the contract that you are signing and read and understand everything. I figure they took over $4000 of my mother's money.

While we had to cycle through a…read morefew caregivers until they found a regular one for my mom, we had the chance of Julia being my moms caregiver for up to 2 weeks. Julia provided excellent caregiving services for my mother; taking her to the ice cream shop, and to a local man made lake to feed the ducks, she was always engaging with my mom. We then got our regular caregiver, who I thought was a pretty good math for my mom, she truly engaged with her and my mom liked her. Over the course of her week working with my mother, she divulged information that we did not need to her (her boyfriend was in jail). One day she came in, and about mid-shift, she said she needed to take a phone call and went into the bathroom for like 15 minutes talking on the phone and "cleaning" our bathroom. She came out and I asked if everything was ok, she said yes. About 1/2 hour later, sitting on my couch, her phone rang, and she asked if she could take the all, I said of course. She went out into my garage, and proceeded to yell at the top of her lungs in my garage. I went out to the garage, and asked her to tone it down, and that if she needed to leave, then she should do so, which she did. I was a little nervous with her coming in on her next day of work, but she came in, I just so happened to be upstairs showering my mother from a bathroom accident. My husband texted me and told me, the caregiver told him that she had lost her sense of taste and smell. I asked her to come upstairs and told her that she was going to have to call her company and that they will most likely ask her to go home. She called her company while on speaker phone and I heard Julia chastise her and ask her questions, instead of telling her to leave immediately. Julia wanted me to make the decision to send her home, and I told her it was her companies integrity on the line and that she needed to make the call, that I too felt she needed to leave. LONG STORY short, the caregiver tested positive for COVED-19, and we were forced on a mandatory quarantine for 14 days. This Christmas is most likely my moms last and I tried to make it as special as possible for her (she loves Christmas), and now it was all jacked up, and her other son could not come down on Christmas as planned. All 3 of us in the house went and got tested and thankfully came out negative. The hardest part of all of this is that Julie ghosted us. She was not responding to texts or calls, and then she felt like she couldn't answer questions I was asking and had to bring in other "managers" on her staff. We eventually scheduled a zoom meeting to discuss moving forward. With some troubleshooting, we finally met, but EVERY TIME I went to talk, I was interrupted, first by the scheduler Toni, then by the "risk manager" Karin. I ended up ending the Zoom since they would not hear me out or listen to me, and kept making excuses. I would be VERY wary of hiring this company to provide any caregiving services to your loved ones. Their employees to not wear their masks properly (above the nose) and that included the companies owner Julia!! The employees do not know the companies policies (mask wearing, not showing up to work when you have cold/flu symptoms), Julia kept telling me that all of their employees know their policies. Apparently not, otherwise I would not have to write this review. Hell, the company never even offered to get us groceries or send a gift card to get groceries. Never even checked on us to see how we were doing. Instead I received ZERO communication (I even had to call to find out wat the test results were from the caregiver)... again GHOSTED. This is a BAD company that provided mediocre care for my mother at $31.00/hr. I expected more! Don't expect much from this company.

I've been burned by the One Medical network broadly (they're a more frustrating intermediary to…read morecare than Kaiser even...), but regarding Dr. Vergis specifically I'd say some challenges have been clear: --Literally didn't realize he'd never met me before during my intake exam as a new PCP --Seems to only have referrals to UCSF clinics; no particular doctors. Essentially just kicks you into another phone tree of long holds with no specificity of quality or experience --Tends to not be available. Response time is longer than most doctors I've had with messaging systems, and more often than not I'm pushed onto other random One Medical doctors or PAs (versus having someone familiar with me and my medical history) --Seems reluctant or conservative in ordering testing. Healthcare in the US is a monster to begin with, so ideally your PCP would be less of a barrier to leveraging your insurance. --Zero follow-up Not a bad or unknowledgeable doctor by any means, but the quality of service could be improved by his office and personally.

Karishma and her team were able to come to our rescue pretty much immediately- and after having a caregiver that didn't quite fit what we needed she was understanding, quick to take action, and we had a replacement the next day that was a perfect fit. After realizing you can run into the same staffing issues with any home company, it comes down to how they handle it. Highly recommended. She…read moreis so patient and was able to make adjustments to find the right person for our mom, who can sometimes be difficult (oops did I say that?). Karishma helped directly on a few occasions. Karishma was always available on nights and weekends and has a calm and comforting personality during times of stress. The caregivers were all lovely, and 2 of them were extremely amazing, though we did have some turnover from time to time. In terms of an area for improvement, I wish she had a few more folks to call upon - we had some gaps when someone was sick or as someone left. We were fortunate to have long-term care insurance, and Karishma's invoices and paperwork were sufficient. Overall Karishma was responsive and caring, and the caregivers were reliable, dedicated, and kind.
