Worst customer service. I guess they are having a bad day that they needed to raise their voice to the customer. I did nothing wrong but follow their debit card machine. It said "type the pin OR press enter" they raised their voice saying they don't accept debit without pin. I didn't know. You never told me. And I couldn't understand what you were saying cuz your broken English. (Im i migrant myself, no offense .I respectfully try to understand ) I'm sorry ? Why ppl need to try to fight instead just tell me they need my pin. I didn't bring attitude and I even said thank you after that. They ignored. I asked to use the restroom politely. The gas station attendant replied rudely, "No". I informed him that I have a medical condition and it is required by state law to allow me to use the employee restroom. Again, he repeatly gave me a one word "No". Cheapest gas in HB, or at least for this area. Intersection can be a bit tricky and dangerous so just be careful entering and exiting.

There's not enough stars to rate this Auto Shop. The first time I had Mark and the guys work on my 1999 Toyota 4 Runner I knew my suv was in good hands. I came in and left my car knowing Mark is gonna take care of me. He is honest and explains what the problem is, and how he is going to fix the problemand explains the whole breakdown of the quote. Easy and very understandable. Mark did a complete motor swap on my 99 4Runner! I was so comfortable and confident leaving it up to Mark and his guys to do this motor swap. I go to this Arco gas station routinely for gas, but over the years have had a smog inspection completed on my car. The service, cost and customer service has always been excellent. The owner is very nice and very helpful. I called the business very early in the morning over a weekend and the owner answered the phone. I asked if I could make an appointment to get a smog inspection and he said "come on down and we will do the smog check right now. Less then 30 mins later I was driving home with everything completed. Excellent business. read more

I've been a gas client since 2010. I've never thought of taking my cars or trucks for service...really I don't know why. This week after realizing my gas tank hose was leaking when pumping gas I showed Mark. We agreed to bring truck 2-3 days later they were busy luckily I am never in a hurry I got other vehicles I can wait. Diagnosed, upper gas filler hose damaged. Could be little $ could be more$$. Either case, it must be done. Today, I got it back...truck filler hose fix and at a very reasonable price. In the last few weeks I realized Mark has always been there for me. Loan me his battery pack to restart my truck not once not twice but three times. Recently loan me two bits that are rare to take seat out of Chevy Silverado yes...without hesitation. Today, they fixed my Tacoma gas upper filler hose. Furthermore, brother in law also a mechanic unselfishly helped an older senior lady pump gas. He didn't have to do it but he did. So you know when your driving and your dashboard dummy lights come on. You feel nervous instantly, So I checked the car book and the dummy light, was a simple fix , I had low tire pressure. So I went to the Arco on Warner, I needed gas anyway. When I was paying for gas, I asked them where i could get air in my tires. The attendant gave me a code to go around the corner to put the air in myself. Then Mark a mechanic there, said I can do that for you and instantly started filling air in all 4 of my tires. It was such a beautiful surprise That without being asked somebody would instantly help me out. Its so nice to see someone so willing to help out someone in need. The only gas station I have ever seen with a tombstone in the back! The developer installed it to commemorate the death of his proposal to erect a 94-foot-tall tower on this spot. He enlisted the services of architect Lloyd Wright, son of Frank Lloyd Wright, to design an oil derrick tower to represent the City's history in oil. Neighbors protested and killed the project. The gentleman behind the counter refused to take my money in cash and judged me based off my tattoos. I can't believe in today's day and age that people feel like acting like this. While this gas station always has the lowest prices and the man who works in the snack store they have is very polite and nice, today I experienced something very alarming. The man who works in the car service portion of it was driving a client's car extremely recklessly. He then proceeded to nearly hit my car and flipped me off?! He gave me the dirtiest look I genuinely thought he was about to come out of his shop and hurt or harass me. I was too afraid to take a picture of him, but if anyone knows the man who works in the car shop at this location, I would appreciate if he would have a talk with management on how he values the safety of his clients' cars and how he controls his temper. If it were my reckless driving that attributed to this reaction I'd be a little more understanding, but this is unacceptable. read more

The gas flows so painfully slow the last 50 cents It really makes you wonder if they are just trying to make it go so slow that people just leave the change behind in the company can pocket the money or if the gas close so slow That people would hang up the nozzle and leave without getting all the gas nor their money I feel like this is kind of shady practice because all of the gas stations are the $.60 higher and gas and for the reason this one is super slow however it makes you not want to pump the last $.50 into your tank. Other than that the Clark was absolutely polite completely friendly even though there's a lady in there trying to tell him that he was doing his job and he stayed very cordial and professional. kudos to him!!! read more

Be careful using this gas station, I use this gas station on 16 October and by 20 October I've had five payments from my card the cost me over $575. I guess they're reading machine must be tap to somebody else or their system at Arco has been hacked. The night attendant was so nice and helpful! I had to pump my tires with air after getting gas and he lent me a PSI tester to check how low they were before going over to the air pump. I didn't know exactly what my tires should be at so he called over a friend and got him to check for me. They were both super sweet and I really appreciated it! Plus the gas prices here are cheaper than the one right by my house! I'll definitely be returning and making this station my regular spot. read more

This place has become one of the lowest priced gas stations here in HB. I use to go that ARCO on McFadden and Edwards but it's a USA Gasoline now. So it's this place or the ARCO on Slater and Goldenwest. Nothing else special about this place otherwise. read more

Took my BMW to a dealership and they said I needed a new engine. Seeked out a second and third opinion and it was the turbo. I have a Diesel BMW and most independent shops won't work on Diesel engines. Took it to Mark and he installed a replacement turbo and charged a great price to install it and didn't upsell or charge beyond the agreed upon labor costs. Mark is a great mechanic and charges great prices and isn't afraid to tell you if he isn't sure that he can do the repair. I will be taking all of my repairs to him in the future. read more

Very Disappointed! I have been coming to this station for many years. Today, I filled my tank and as I was putting the controller back in place, I noticed that the price and gallons continued to run.. I continually yelled and whistled for the attendant to come out and was ignored until he noticed others around getting gas and wondering what the commotion was.. I had stopped my buy at $11 using a gift card. By the time the "owner" came out, the price had crept up to $14+... This didn't appear to be a concern to the owner as he explained to my wife and I that he was well aware of the faulty pump, but there was no way it could have gone from $11 to $14+ within the few minutes while the pump was cheating me. I asked for my $3 back and he acted like I was cheating him! I won't be back and warn others to pay attention while pumping because this didn't appear to be a "one time thing" with this clown! I first discovered this place when I went in with no background story after I moved from New Jersey. Right away I counted them as trustworthy mechanic's for my 1998 Mustang. Connected to an Arco gas station - honest, established, family owned, doesn't rip you off - checked my vehicle, didn't charge me because there wasn't a problem - great customer service - great job. When we moved to HB we didn't have a clue as to where to go for a oil change. Since Arco gas & Smog was walking distance we gave it a try. Not the cheapest Cash Only ARCO in the area but close. I'd stop here if I was passing from the same side of the street but I would not put the effort to make a U-turn to get to this ARCO. The ARCO with the Armstrongs attached is the best one in the area. That ARCO has coupons to pass smog for $20 most places charge $55. read more

He offered to keep it over night so someone could check it out the next morning. He was so friendly and accommodating I was almost shocked. Mark, that runs the repair shop is awesome. Trustworthy and honest. Very fairly priced. Will give you the straight answers and not try to get you into something that you can't afford to fix. If they can't do the work for you, then they will recommend a place or they will just tell you what you need to do yo find a place on your own. I really don't know a better mechanic shops that would do that. Actually I don't know any. If you want an opinion you should at least go see him. Attendants have poor customer service/very unhelpful!! I used this Arco all the time. Not anymore. I accidentally left my wallet on top of my car when getting out my card to pay for gas. Then I realized I what happened after the fact, around 15 minutes later and returned to the gas station to ask for help to see if anyone had turned in my wallet and see if they would let me review their video cameras to see what happened. The guy who worked there told me, "It's not my job to help you. Why did you leave your wallet on top of your car? That's your fault, too bad for you!" Then when I called my husband and he arrived a few minutes later the attendant completely changed his attitude and started to helped us. I felt like the attendant treats women differently than men. Bottom line, a little empathy goes a long way and the people who work at this gas station don't have any.
