After getting jerked around for WEEKS by a local Safelite office, I asked my mechanic who else I should contact to have my cracked windshield replaced. He recommended Mobile Glass Works in Ashaway, RI. As background, Safelite had been unable to locate a windshield for my car for weeks but Mobile Glass Works called me right back and said they can get one and have it installed the NEXT DAY! They showed up exactly when they said they would, were friendly and communicative, replaced the windshield and were paid directly by the insurance company. A week ago, I had an issue with a leak and couldn't identify the source. I called Mobile Glass Works and explained the issue and over the phone they immediately and confidently told me it was the sunroof. I was skeptical, but they said if I brought it in first thing the next day, they would diagnose it. Sure enough, they were right! They fixed the plugged drain on the spot and I left a very happy customer. My car was broken into last week and all of my stuff was stolen when my window was smashed. That same day Wayne and his staff cleaned out my car and put up protection on the door until the window could be fixed so it would be safe to drive with my daughter in the car. The next day my window was replaced. This has been such a horrendous ordeal for me but Wayne and his staff were absolutely incredible and were the only bright light in this terrible situation! My appointment to replace original windshield on an '08 Jeep due to major pitting and recent crack was scheduled rapidly after call to insurance carrier. Wayne and his staff were ready and waiting at the appointed time to complete the repair. While my visit was to his physical location Wayne also provides on site replacement when requested. The Sun Roof on my Van was shattered, the windshield had two chips in it. This happened on a 500 mile trip from Pittsburgh, Pa. to Connecticut. When we called Mobile Glass Works the owner, Wayne Palmer told us how properly cover the hole in the sun roof until it be properly repaired. The day of the repair, everything was perfect. The sun roof was replaced in 20 minutes. There was some confusion about the windshield repair with the insurance company but Wayne straightened everything and made the repair.
