We were told at the time that they would reimburse us for the nearly $500 charge. Then earlier this year in May when the temps hit the 80s and 90s we discovered that when they installed the furnace the neglected to reinstall the air conditioner so they finally reinstalled it on May 16. It was 63 degrees by then. And they still haven't reimbursed us for the needless work and trip charge in December. When I texted the salesperson about it on May 29, 2025 his response was that I should be nice and have more patience. It has been 5 1/2 months and I am being impatient. I wonder if they let their customers get away with treating them this way?

My furnace definitely needed tending to, and I realize replacing them both at the same time is typically recommended. The estimator did not pressure me whatsoever and I ended up getting a quote for a furnace and AC unit replacement. The quote was thorough and after researching everything, I determined it was a fair deal. I went ahead with the purchase and they were out a few days later to get the job done. I cannot begin to tell you how incredibly professional and personable everyone was. They did a stellar job replacing everything and I had no idea how big of a difference this upgrade would make. Additionally, the small details didn't go unnoticed. The new vent going outside, the thermostat and even the Rumpca sticker on the ducts were level and neat. My 97 year old Mother had these rip off artists come out to her home twice within a week or so. The…read morefirst time was to figure out why her toilet kept running. The guy that was out there took his sweet ol' time and finally just put a new flapper in the tank and charged her $340!! The second time was to put new shutoff valves on the upstairs and downstairs toilets. They told her that seeing she was in Ramsey county they couldn't shut her water off without permission from St. Paul. Which is total BS, especially when she has a shutoff on her main water line coming into the house. They said seeing as their business wasn't located in that area they couldn't do the work. But later on in the day, the owner called and said they could work around that by "freezing her pipes" and the charge would be $1000!!!! She talked to me, her son, and I told her this is total crap. She ended up calling someone else who shut her main water valve off in the basement and replaced both valves for $250! She had used Rumpca for about 30 years and we have figured out that they have been ripping her off for all those years. My advice is to stay away from these scumbags and call a reputable plumber.

Last October they replaced our entire system with a 97% efficient furnace, air conditioner, & humidifier. I was extremely impressed with how Chris managed the design and installation of the new system. The new system was bigger & space was limited, but Chris custom fabricated parts so everything fit together perfectly. It's kind of crazy, but now when I walk into my utility room I take a second to admire Chris's work, it's part HVAC & part art.
