UPDATE The report…read morewas finally received through my realtor on Aug 14, 2025. I would have expected to receive the report directly, since I was the person to pay for the inspection. Still have not received my report and yet the company of course has already been paid for their service.

Wish I could write a good review because when I met Jerry, I really liked him and trusted him. I…read moremet with Jerry 3 months ago and put down a deposit to have my roof replaced. I live in a mobile home park and these types of jobs require an application/approval process. The application was submitted by Jerry right away. Along with the necessary permit(s) for signature. My park's HOA was/has not been responsive to the application/permit even though I have reached out numerous times. During this process I have reached out to Jerry repeatedly via phone call, text messages and email. I even spoke to his wife (who expressed their frustrations with the park) and none of my messages have been returned. I called & texted Jerry last week to let him know that I had everything signed and asked when we could schedule the work. ZERO RESPONSE! I reached out again today and again, NO RESPONSE. When I finally was able to speak to my HOA about the roof application, I found out that the plot measurements that were submitted BY JERRY were WRONG and that was partially the reason for the delay. The woman was nice enough to help me redo the plan and was able to get my approved application/permit to me the next day. The reason for the Yelp review is that I cannot believe a company owner would INTENTIONALLY ignore one of its customers because they are UNHAPPY with something OUTSIDE that customer's control. I gave Jerry a deposit to do this work and I cannot even get a return phone call. That is just bad business. If Jerry made the decision to no longer do work in my park then that should have been relayed to me and my deposit returned. To date, neither has been done. EDITED: Since I am not able to respond to Jerry's response in the open. I'll leave it here. Thanks for the response Jerry! However, NONE of this was ever relayed to me. You chose to ignore my repeated attempts to get ahold of you to discuss this matter. This could have been easily resolved by you picking up the phone and returning one of my numerous calls/texts. You just left me hanging with no answers. If you knew all of this, you should have told me not ignore me. Your wife told me that you guys no longer wanted to work with Star Management because of their delays in turning around things. I had zero control over this process and you knew that. Also, if there were so many problems and potential liabilities, you should have shared them with me but I'm only hearing about it in your response here. And as far as the blame game, YOU, YOURSELF, told me that the roof was damaged due to the contractors work. I even have an email where you responded yes to this very same question. You didn't have to write anything up. I asked, and you could have said no. But I never heard a word from you. Trying to make me look bad because or your lack of communication is completely laughable. Especially since you told me the roof was damaged beyond repair due to the contractors work and you even gave me pictures for proof. It's also laughable that you mentioned you gave me a reasonable price. Nobody's disputing that Jerry. I was ready to move forward but I couldn't get you to respond, until now. Please explain to me how would I ever know that you weren't going to complete the job that I had put down a deposit on had I not written this review? As I told you in my last text message, I still wanted you to do the work but I see now that you decided a long time ago not to do the work but forgot to let the customer (ME) know. It's just sad that you could not see past your own personal feelings with the park to reach out to your customer. It took a Yelp review for me to get my answer that you never planned on completing the work we mutually agreed upon. I see zero apologies or accountability in your response back to me. In fact, all I see is you playing the blame game and trying to make me look bad. Nowhere in your response did I see you even address my main concern which was lack of communication from you. If you feel you are truly at a loss for a simple application and a $200 permit then you can keep the deposit. But let's not forget that this was included in your estimate on work that YOU CHOSE NOT TO COMPLETE. Which again, I had no control over. I'll leave that up to you.

Unfortunately, the response time for follow-up service has been extremely delayed--measured in months rather than days or weeks. The gutters on the awnings installed by Home Improvements by Tim Allard overflow significantly during normal rainfall. Before purchasing and installing the two 62-foot awnings, I specifically asked whether the system would be capable of handling the expected surface water runoff. I was assured that it would. However, it does not. Eventually, Scott returned to inspect the issue and acknowledged both the overflow problem and the need for an additional downspout. I purchased these awnings with the expectation that they would include a complete and properly designed drainage system capable of performing their intended function. I am now being told that I must pay an additional expense to install the downspouts necessary to make the system function adequately. This is not what I was originally told, and it raises a concerning question: Why would a system be sold and installed if it was not sufficient for the job from the start? I trusted Home Improvements by Tim Allard to provide a complete solution. Instead, the project remains incomplete, and I am left with overflowing gutters--a problem that did not exist with my previous system. I believe this issue should be corrected without additional cost to me, as the current configuration does not meet the expectations that were established at the time of sale. I hope this matter can be resolved promptly and fairly.
