UPDATE: The answer I got from Mobile Kangaroo about my computer was that the processor's south bridge was not functioning properly. It took almost 2 weeks to give me this answer. I met up with a friend I haven't seen for months and I explain my problems with this setup. His answer, without question, "it's probably the memory". I disagreed considering the situation I had been in with multiple "computer pros" and Mobile Kangaroo. Sure enough within 10 mins we found out the the voltage was the cause of the posting issues. Not the processor. Not the motherboard. This is disappointing because I could have gotten this issue resolved 2 months ago. But it seems like they just wanted to get rid of me because I was being difficult. Granted, I wanted a solution but I see now I never actually got it. Please don't contact me. Thanks. read more

Dropped the smart phone and shattered the glass and LCD panel. I made several calls to local repair shops and Mobile Kangaroo was the cheapest and had the parts in stock. Two hours later I had a repaired, good-as-new smart phone. Service was fast and friendly in this small shop. I would definitely use them again. But luckily, I asked if there was a nearby shop I could try, and was lead here. I got a quick estimate, and a week later I had a repaired screen, no fuss. I brought a new MacBook Pro 16" that had a damaged display and TouchBar. Mobile Kangaroo was great and assessed it for parts replacement. I had AppleCare+ coverage so all parts were covered. The service provider kept me updated on status and the laptop was fully repaired in four days. I liked that they never over promised - they gave me realistic timeframes to get my laptop back....and then fixed it way before normal process time. I'm updating my review because the Mobile Kangaroo team ended up providing an awesome follow-up service. After a lot of back and forth over email about the issues with the Xbox, they attempted to repair it once more for free and guess what: my xbox is like new!!! They ended up replacing a lot of parts to be able to make it work and now it's as good as new. They also realized in the process that their repair service company was not doing a good job and started doing the xbox repairs themselves which is much better. My computer had randomly shut down on me and Mobile Kangaroo was where the Apple advisor had told me to go get it seen and fixed. The times I was there (I believe her name was Aliya) she greeted me kindly and had helped me with all the problems going on with my laptop. Store followed with COVID-19 protocols. This place is a must, really fast and easy, had no problems. My backlight was not working and when I came back they had given me a new screen, keyboard, and mouse pad! My laptop looks brand new! My HTC One M8 phone was not charging, and I was worried if I could get ever get the phone to charge again. All my wedding photos and documents were saved in the phone. The quality of the photos taken using the phone is very good, and I desperately needed this phone to charge again. I took my phone to Mobile Kangaroo to get this fixed. Miguel from Mobile Kangaroo was very helpful in fixing the charging port on my phone. He promised me that he will get the usb charging port to work again and he made sure that he stayed late to fix my phone. My iPhone needed a new battery. I was concerned about COVID safety and of course about being without my phone. I shouldn't have worried. These folks offer pickup and delivery for a very reasonable $20. They picked up my phone at 11 am and brought it back at 3 pm the same day. The delivery people wore masks and respected my distance. Leaving a review because I was worried seeing a lot of the negative reviews. I suspect this is one of the situations where you're not that motivated to write a review of a computer repair shop unless they messed something up. My experience was that I was replacing the keyboard in my MacBook under their Butterfly keyboard repair program. I made an appointment on Apple website, came in at the specified time, and gave them the computer with about 5 minutes spent in the shop. I got a notification saying it was fixed a few days later, picked it up, and it was working perfectly. No issues whatsoever, and the employee I worked with was very courteous and helpful. read more

I had my doubts, but I was pleasantly surprised. Brought in my iphone 4s with a broken screen and they had it fixed in 2 hours. Looks and feels and works like new. With the coupon offered here, this was about the same as buying a kit and doing it yourself, only without the frustration and time wasted. Well, I spoke too soon. The screen they installed only lasted about a week before I had to go back. It was clear that this was beyond their control (it was a defective screen), but it still was a hassle. If I could give a zero star, I would. This must be the worst experience ever. My iMac is having a black screen issue. When I turn on the power, I can hear the hard drive making some small noise, but the screen won't turn on. I tried to hook up this iMac with a mac book pro, I found out this iMac can be used as a secondary display. So I thought this must be some logic issue. The LCD should still work because it can be used as secondary display. So I send my iMac to this store for repair. After 1 day, the technician told me that he has root caused the issue and we need to replace LCD. Even though I questioned him on my previous finding, but since he was so sure and he is a iMac repair technician, I trusted him. I paid for the new LCD. After waiting for a couple of more days. The new LCD was put on and nothing works. It turned out it is NOT the LCD issue and his original diagnostic was wrong. Now they want to order a logic board to try a different solution. I decided to give another apple store a try and asked them to put back my original LCD display. They refunded my new LCD money. But they still charged me diagnostic charge. Here is the new problem. After taking the iMac back home. When I turn on the iMac, it is making a huge noise, as if smoke is about to come out of the iMac.It has never been like this before. On top of that, this iMac used to work as a secondary display. It no longer can. Now that I paid mobile kangaroo diagnostic money. I waited for 4 days. Nothing get solved and my machine is getting worse. I will never do business with them again and I will not recommend this store to anyone. read more

I took my laptop here to get a cleaning before a trip. The guy was really nice but definitely not reliable. He left the shop (with my laptop) but didn't even leave a sign! (Fortunately he came back to finish my laptop) Anyway, he said there was mold in my motherboard so he said he had to clean it. It took him 20 minutes and I took my computer home thinking all was good (my first mistake). When I took it home, it said the Wifi hardware wasn't working. Since I was travelling early the next morning, I couldn't bring it back. Long story short, a repairman I took it to later said that he broke my wifi cable! It is impossible to repair so now my awesome macbook has no wi-fi capabilities! I have to use a USB or ethernet to connect to the internet now which is a HUGE bummer. The only reason I gave him 2 stars instead of one is that he gave me a refund, stayed after closing to finish my laptop (since I had a flight the next day) and I ate some pizza with him while he was fixing my computer. He's nice but definitely sloppy. The Palo Alto location is way better. DO NOT COME HERE FOR LAPTOP REPAIRS OR IT WILL BE WORSE WHEN YOU FOUND IT. read more

The screen of my iphone5c was totally black although Siri and the rest of my phone seemed to work just fine. I was just going to buy a new phone thinking that to get it repaired would take days or weeks, and would be a hassle, and I needed a phone now. But my fiancé insisted I go in to a repair shop and weigh that option first. The guy at MobilKangaroo looked at my phone for literally a sec, and said, "I can fix it in 30mins, for $90." There was another customer in a bigger rush than I, and he fixed his phone first. But I was out of there with a "good as new" phone in 45mins time. Very thankful for this. read more

Its a nice and clean place to attract new customers. Also i had read all great review about it. But i had a jerky experience. Sorry for dat. I went into to get my Motorola repaired and I was told piece need to be ordered. I said great, so we placed an order with prepayment in full. So I was told to wait 2 weeks. Till 4 weeks completion and multiple calls, i had no track of order. No one called me back even after my tireless follow ups. Finally I gave up and got my refund. I hope its one of a kind case for a service which is rated HIGH by other yelpers. read more

We came to Mobile Kangaroo in Mountain View from the Apple Support site, since all the Genius Bars were busy. We had a recharging problem and brought the iPad and connector with us. The tech told us, without examining the equipment, that this always happens to the copper connectors in the iPad and that it was a goner, so go to an Apple store and at least get an exchange credit. We did that, and my wife is happy with her new iPad Air. However when she tried to charge it from the old connector, guess what! It did not work. Might have been nice to check that out before declaring a diagnosis. Next time, my advice, wait for the Genius Bar and forget Mobile Kangaroo. read more

I initially tried repairing the device on my own and my ipad mini's replacement glass screen wasn't responding to touch correctly when the glass screen was placed back on the lcd; the glass screen worked perfectly when it wasn't near the ipad minis lcd. After doing some research and finding that it could be easily fixed, I went to Mobile Kangaroo thinking that they would do the easy fix for me, and also complete the minor tasks to finish the job (basically clean the screen from dust and finger prints from my repair) which I didnt mind paying a few dollars for. WRONG, they INSISTED that my entire glass screen was faulty, although I was showing them that the screen worked perfectly when it wasn't on top of the lcd. They ABSOLUTELY would not try the fix i recommended. They wanted to charge me $100 for them to replace it with their part; the part costs $25 on ebay FYI. After hearing their ATROCIOUS price, I decided to get the supplies for the fix I found (less than $10), and do it on my own. My ipad mini works PERFECTLY now! I understand that you should expect to pay more when somebody does a repair for you, but I DO NOT like the fact that they wouldn't even try the method I proposed (which takes like 5 minutes, uses cheap materials that every phone repair shop has, and can easily be removed if it hadn't worked). I still would've gladly paid some money if they tried my proposed method and not try to hustle me. read more
