I expecting an expensive repair because it seemed like a worn out wheel bearing. however they were able to diagnose the situation and found a rock in the wheel hub and removed it for less than 50$. I was getting a busy signal at Sid's and was in a hurry to make an appointment for my brakes to be checked again...so I called another mechanic. Who proceeded to lecture me on all the things that could be wrong, tell me how busy they were so couldn't guarentee a time, and more or less talked down to me. Once I had hung up with them, I called Sid's again. They told me the likely problem, the approximate time for repair, and to go ahead and come in this afternoon.

Got an appt within about 1 week. Great shop - friendly greeting inside, including from Willow the big Lab, and waited for my ride in a really comfy area while Willow enjoyed a butt rub. About $200.00 and that's fine, they used the correct Euro 0--20 oil and did a full inspection, that oil is pricey. No claims that it needed this or that, just good honest work and done on time. At first I was really skeptical because my Jetta is not only a Volkswagen, which are really hard to work on, and almost everyone refuses unless I want to drain my savings, but it's also a diesel. When I picked up my car, not only did the tint look absolutely flawless, but he was able to fully tune my car out of Economy mode and tuned it to 500 horsepower!!! I've never been able to hear my turbo spool up but now I do!!
