Went in for a simple oil change. Asked that nothing but an oil change be done. Demanded that nothing but the oils change be done and explained how another Grease Monkey location cost me over $450 in damages when told to do nothing other than an oil change. Five minutes after it was pulled in and I heard the manager tell the tech not to mess with anything the asshole tech was taking my car apart inspecting things instead of doing the oil change. I went out and told him to knock it off. Just five minutes after being told not to! I didn't get the oil I had asked for, which was discussed prior, so that was fine. However the display in the office was showing lower prices than what were quoted. When I brought it up they said they hadn't had time to change the billboard to the new prices. Thieves or negligence? We came here originally because another Grease Monkey messed up and didn't tighten our filter enough. We were leaking oil everywhere. These guys tightened it and we felt good about them so we had them do an oil change on our other vehicle. I put away all my sunglasses and other stuff in my center console before it went back. A few hours later when I went to get my sunglasses the entire insert for my console was gone... and about 5 pairs of very expensive sunglasses... and who knows what else. I called and they said that they would review the video and call me back. Of course, nothing on their video. When we picked it up the car was in their parking lot NOT locked. Bad review time grease monkey. I brought grannys car down for an oil change and was informed the transmission was leaking fluid. I then took it to my professional mechanic and he said there was no problem with this car what's so ever. Car has 40k miles on it and it just makes me sick how these places try to stay in business by trying to upsale the customer. This would have been a costly job for a 91 year old lady living on a fixed income being a widow. SCAMMERS. I've been having my oil changed at this location for years. I went in on Feb. 1, 2022 to have a basic oil change. After pulling my car into the bay, the worker said, "I can't change your oil. There is oil in the coolant. You likely have a blown head gasket". He went on to tell me that he's had numerous Subaru's and this is a common issue. I had recently purchased the car and was really disappointed. He took another look and reported that oil was coagulated in my radiator and I would probably need a new engine. I immediately contacted my mechanic. Once up on the lift, my mechanic said, "There is nothing wrong with your car. Those guys are idiots" Well, he used more colorful language but you get the idea. I have been bringing my family fleet of 5 vehicles here for more than a decade. We just bought an old VW Westfalia and I brought it her for fluids change. The reaction was completely opposite of what I thought!? A long time customer they recognize, an old car to a bunch of grease monkeys. The manager treated me like an imposition. He was unsure he could do anything, even change the oil. Attitude was so poor, I couldn't understand the lack of customer service? I'm the end they changed the oil, told me they couldn't check any other fluid levels because they didn't have the tools? Huh? Wrote on the bill that I "declined" tire pressure checks? Huh? Brought my truck in for a regular oil change and they found the previous location in Westminster I had my last oil change at had torqued the bolts to access my oil filter way too tight and caused issues with removing them. Very disappointed. I'm a woman and feel like I got played. $90 later for an oil change. They had no idea how to reset my oil change notification in my car. If you can't do something as simple as that why even are you allowed to touch vehicles? Claimed they don't do synthetic blends but had it in their price charts. Very confused by that. Price quoted by phone not the price charged for an internal air filter, charged 33% more and wouldn't correct it. Oil change prices go up each time I go there for the same 15 minute service. When I pulled up today they asked if it was okay to vacuume my vehicle. "sure" I responded. They've never done that before...and they didn't this time. -Just all part of the hustle. Not coming back here again. Brought my brother-in-law's truck for basic oil change. They took forever and then tried to tell me I needed a new oil pan bc the plug was stripped. Being that the dealership did the last oil change, how did the plug get stripped? Took it to another place and they had no problem removing and reinstalling the oil pan plug. Called about how much it would cost to do an oil change if I brought in my own oil and filter. I typically do this as most places don't carry the weight of oil my car specifics recommend. I was informed it would be the same price as the type of oil I brought, meaning if you bring in full synthetic oil you get charge $89.99 (this is their normal charge for a full synthetic oil change using their oil) minus $5.00 (yes, you read correct, just $5.00). THIS IS CRAZY EXPENSIVE!!! Given the act of changing oil is the same regardless of the type of oil used, the cost should at most what they charge for standard oil changes. This charge doesn't even take into account that you aren't using their standard oil or filter. Furthermore, there are coupons (one on yelp now for $6) that takes off more than $5.00 for this place. I want to repeat I have had this service done countless times at lube places, in multiple states-- I have never encountered that kind of up-charge!!! If you also bring your own oil/filter to lube places, I would recommend going somewhere else. If you have a ton of extra cash and like spending it, by all means go here. **Called around and Lube and Latte in Lakewood, CO does this type of oil change for $20.00 and they top off your other fluids. read more

Fast and friendly, I don't feel like they're ever pushing me for too much here. One time they noticed something going on in my front end and diagnosed it with a recommendation where to go. It pretty much saved us from getting stranded that weekend before our camping trip and the place they recommended fixed it so fast too! Always top your fluids, prices are pretty fair and competitive. They offer snacks, pop, and coffee while you wait. A few chairs and a TV are available. It's close to plenty of shopping or errand running options as well. BEWARE! - They asked me which oil change I wanted (I picked the cheapest).... Then I waited inside. Then the tech came out to let me know the mfr recommended a synthetic oil and that would cost me double what I asked for. They would only do the change I wanted if I signed a waiver. I said never mind. "Oh- we already drained your oil!" WHAT? why would you do that before talking to me? Then from the Asst. Mgr. to the manager. The manager (Clay) came out - angry - AT ME! "We told you..." - Not before you drained my oil - I said. "Ok- we'll give you a F....ING deal - 1/2 off"- he said- again in an angry tone. As he walked out I asked- Don't you want to wait for my response? "NO - we're giving you an F...ing deal here, that is what we're doing". We are Golden locals and my wife took her Subaru into this location today based on the good reviews. On the plus side they were able to see her promptly and take care of the services she needed, which was an oil change and a tire rotation. She was crunched for time, as she was leaving on a road trip the next day, and needed this done before she left. The people were nice and efficient. However, the prices at this location are ridiculous! It was around $42 just for a normal, non-synthetic, oil change. This did NOT include an oil filter, which they said was an additional $27. So now we are at $69 just for a normal oil change. Then, it was an additional $5 because the vehicle is a manual transmission. This is a total BS charge. Why on earth is it additional for a manual transmission? It's not like they use any more, or less, oil than an automatic. So the total now is $74. Finally, they charge $20 for the tire rotation, when most places, including Meineke, AutoNation Subaru West, Steveinson Toyota, etc., just throw this service in for free. So, now the total is at $94!! Are you kidding me? $94 for an oil change!!! That is a complete rip-off. I go to Steveinson Toyota East to get the oil changed on my Tacoma, which I do as full-synthetic, MOA oil additive, filter, tire rotation, and full safety inspection and it is only $80. Most places will charge $39.95 for conventional oil, filter, safety inspection, and tire rotation. Again, I admit that we had to go here as she was on a crunch for time, but I will never go here again. The prices are just absurd!! Speed, friendliness, and efficiency count for a lot, but when your prices are DOUBLE what other places charge, they don't count for nearly enough. read more

Let me start by saying I went for an oil change and the oil change was done in a timely manner. They took me right away and my car was reset properly. However, as a nurse and just generally someone who regards other people's rights around me, I am extremely frustrated with how unprofessional they were regarding COVID precautions. When I got there, the gentleman was wearing a buff covering his nose and mouth while he interacted with me and took my car in. He told me where to wait and as I entered the door, they had the sign posted saying that masks are required at all times. However, as soon as I walk in there was a customer with no mask. When I looked in the garage, everyone except ONE staff member was not wearing a mask. When I asked the guy who worked there why they weren't enforcing the mask mandate he said (talking about the customer not wearing a mask who had just then left) "well he comes in all the time and refuses to wear one. There's nothing I can do" and I responded "yea there is, you can not serve him" and when I brought up the multiple staff members not wearing masks he said "well my boss says we don't have to wear them while we're working on the cars, just when we bring the cars in and out and when we're interacting with customers". There was no hand sanitizer present, no social distancing in the waiting area, no clean vs. dirty pens....nothing that most other businesses are doing to try and keep people safe. If this is something that you care about, take your car elsewhere and spend your money elsewhere. read more

I have been a customer for several years. The vibe here has changed.Employee was visibly irritated when customers didn't want upsales. The next day I discovered a large puddle under my car. So I returned and was told there would be a 45 min wait. There were 2 cars in front of me and 2 empty bays. I explained that I was here the day the day before and already paid for my service and was late for work. I was still told there was a 45 minute wait because "we have customers". There is no reason they couldn't have pulled me into an empty bay and tightened the plug. This would be an excellent opportunity for customer service training. read more
