Initially, I brought my car there to get a diagnostic which it was determined my car essentially needed new brakes, rooters, hubs, etc. (you name it). My car is an 07 Camry, so I understood why the fixes were necessary. The issue came came afterwards, when it was shown that I needed to have repairs to the repairs they had made after I brought my car back for timing belt issues (which they did not diagnose initially). I brought the car back to get the timing belt issue resolved because the car continued to make loud screeching noises when I accelerated. After the timing belt was fixed, my car ran ok for another week then the starter and the battery went out on the car. I brought it back here after spending $8 over the matter of a three month period- they charged me for a diagnostic and told me I needed a new battery and starter now. I felt it ridiculous to have to pay for another diagnostic after spending thousands at this location in such a short window (mind you, this was summer 2025). The police was called and I still ended up paying for the diagnostic. About a week ago, I heard the screeching sound and my wheel is starting to vibrate rapidly again as I'm breaking which indicates the timing belt is still not properly repaired. When I called them back to look at the work they did on my car considering I am having timing belt issues again, they gave me a number to call and said I could not bring my car back to them. Y'all be careful and mindful of who you allow to work on your cars, not all business believe in integrity and customer satisfaction-this car repair shop is all about getting your money. I would stay far away from them!!!!!

Wasn't the closest mechanic but we went out of our way to go to him. Super nice and a straight shooter on what your car needs or doesn't need. It's a small shop and they're always busy with cars already there from the day or days before, so they may not be able to get you in and out that day which is totally fair and understandable! Best to call or get there first thing in the AM and Melvin & Kurt will absolutely do their best to get you in as he can with the jobs they've already committed to. He runs the shop, works the cars AND also answers the phone, so don't be discouraged if it rings for a minute or you have to call back, he's only one guy! They do good work, but ended up outsourcing to get most of their recommendations anyways because the prices are comparable to the dealership. For some of the more basic or routine maintenance items I went to Allen's automotive in Metairie because they were more affordable and easier to work with on smaller items. Between the dealership, Allen's, and DIY on very basic level items I must've saved at least 1k for the same quality and level of work needed to keep my car safe. I appreciate them pointing out what needed to be done tho, cut time troubleshooting for the other shops. I'd only recommend this shop if you as a customer are keen about sticking to one shop and are ok with paying dealership prices. They're very upfront about it being a premium price point. They did not like that I chose to go with other businesses after the safety inspection I initially had.

I paid for a timing belt and water pump, thermostat etc for a Toyota Sequoia 2006. Anyway I had a water pump failure ( less than 22k after allegedly replacing)which caused the engine to jump timing. Hopefully it did not bend any rods. After stripping down the motor to redo the timing belt. It became very obvious that the work was not done in the first place.The 4.7 V8 million miles motor had all the original parts from the factory still on it. A friend mentioned going to Marks in MidCity. I called and a very friendly voice answered and I was instructed to drop my car off, due to my work schedule it was unfortunately after business hours, no problem for the shop. The very next day, before lunch I received a call stating my car was ready for pick up. I don't understand the mechanics of it all but needless to say the check engine light is OFF and my car is running smoothly without breaking the bank, thanks Mr. Mark!
