I had one of my Camaros serviced here. The boy who handled my installation was rude and curt with me from the get go. When I got my car back, I noticed some wires hanging out from underneath the steering wheel. I pointed it out to him, and he shrugged and said "don't look at me. I didnt do that." At that point I was fed up with his nonchalantness and I told him I wasn't paying for the service, went up to the desk and informed the attendant I wasn't paying, and got the name of the employee (Parker Campo) and promptly left. Afterwards, the little shit harassed me on social media, messaging me and calling me various profanities and saying I couldn't be bothered by one little wire. Will NEVER go here again. Went in for an estimate to get a radio I purchased installed. Guy behond the counter told me 150.00 for everything but I had to buy a harness for 131.00 also. Bought the harness and brought the car for install. When I arrived and a different person wrote me up the price went up to 465.00. He offered no explanation for the difference in price and gave me attitude when I asked why. Needless to say I couldnt get out of there fast enough. You'll never see me again Mobile one. This was the worst experience I have ever had a a car audio shop. I purchased some Hertz component speaker and an install. When I arrived home I realized that my floor board on the driver side was not attached properly, the rubber on my windshield is now sticking out. *PLEASE SEE THE ATTACHED PHOTO AND YOUTUBE VIDEO* TL;DR: DO NOT COME HERE. Go to Extreme Car Audio in Marrero. Came in for a tint job, and they broke / water damaged my aftermarket headunit. On April 24, 2019 I came to "Mobile One Auto Sound, Inc." Located at - 3000 Clearview Pkwy, Metairie, LA 70006. I got a front windshield visor tint done for $40. Everything went smooth. The job took all of 10 minutes. On my way home, my car head unit began to act up. I have a Kenwood Excelon DDX9904S. I have had 0 Zero problems with this head unit until I came in for this tint job. When you do a tint job, you must apply water to the area. One the way home, my head unit WOULD NOT START PROPER. (Please see the attached Photo) There was a 20 minute turnaround from when I received my car back from the tint, me driving halfway home, and me TURNING RIGHT BACK AROUND TO TELL MOBILE ONE HOW THEY BROKE MY HEADUNIT. My head unit gave me the following error code "The System Could Not Start. Please contact the customer support Center" After Numerous times of me trying to restart the head unit it finally came on. Sadly, the physical buttons on the head unit do not work. (Please see the attached YouTube Video) https://youtu.be/9z9b-CoaJ1A I had to come in the next day because the GM Billie was not at the store that day 4/24/2019. I came back in the next day, April 25, 2019. And spoke with Billie. He obviously did not want to assume responsibility. He told me, there was nothing he could/would do about it. And that I should send it to Kenwood for repaid. I took my car to "Extreme Car Audio" Located at - 6615 Westbank Expy, Marrero, LA 70072 They verified there was water damage to the head unit. So I had to drive back to Mobile One and let Billie know. Billie still refused to take responsibility stating, that it was possible the head unit just broke. Here is what happened next: - Billie said he would charge me $40 to take out the faulty headunit and an additional $20 to install my stock headunit. (*He wanted me to send the faulty headunit to Kenwood for repair. The second Kenwood sees the water damage on the headunit they will just send it right back to me, voiding the warranty*) - I told Billie this was not a very good way to do business. Why am I having to pay MORE money on something you believe is not your fault??? - Billie said he has seen Headunits just break randomly. - I told him I do not care about that, lets talk about my head unit. - He still refused to take Responsibility. - I told him he was not being empathetic towards my situation. If I Let my friend borrow my car, and he returns it broken. Who am I to blame? - Billie finally acquiesced and said he would not charge me take out the head unit, but would still charge me to put in the stock head unit. - He then CHANGES HIS MIND: Since I have a: Amp plus subwoofer in my car, Billie tells me he cannot simply install my stock headunit (wiring issues) thus he will NOT install my factory head unit. Thus I will be without the full driving capabilities for my car for who know's how long ???? I spoke with kenwood, and they informed me there service department is BACKED UP. IT COULD TAKE MONTHS FOR THEM TO RESEND THE HEADUNIT. - So what am I as the customer to do? File a police report? Argue with Billie until I am blue in the face? - I told Billie none of his attempts to resolve this situation help me, instead they allow him to do the least amount of work possible, while still refusing responsibility. IF YOU ALLOW YOUR FRIEND TO BORROW YOUR CAR AND HE RETURNS IT TO YOU BROKE. WHAT SHOULD YOU DO ? WHO DO YOU BLAME? WHO IS AT FAULT? HOW DOES THAT PERSON RECTIFY THE SITUATION? Do you stay friends with someone who refuses to acknowledge or even attempt to repair what they have broken? I NEVER ONCE BECAME BELLIGERENT OR DISPRESPECTED BILLIE AND HIS BUSINESS, yet he chooses to disrespect me by not fixing what his business broke. This is already long enough, so I will end it here. Billie you may try to respond and tell your side of the story, but the damage has been done Billie, and you refuse to resolve it. The way you treat your customers is lacking man. I came to your business, gave you my hard-earned money, and in return you break my things. This obviously wasn't intentional but yet here we are. I spent almost 300.00 for a radio installation which was installed completely wrong salesman parker PC used the wrong installation kit to put my radio in and it was sticking out on my dash. They claim there's no kit that is for my radio... service was very bad... I took my car to another place and they informed me that they used the wrong kit and I had to pay another 70.00 to have it put in correctly into my dash and its perfect.... I feel that I shouldn't have to pay for a kit that costs me 50.00 then had to pay 210.00 for installation which was not done correctly and a shop charge of 21.00 ... I really feel like I have been way over charged for.... I wouldn't referred this place to none of my family or friends... all mobile one have done for me is remembering a very bad experience.... read more

Very lazy and does not care for your products or vehicles, brought their work to a more reputable shop, and they laughed at their work. They put way to small of wires on my sub and amp , and it would just shut off when volune was over a quarter of they way full. Even knowing this, they gave me my car back, i brought it immediately back a few days later and they claimed it was the amp. They argued the wires were big enough when i repeatedly said they were not. Got wires switched out and everything works fine. They were just too lazy to change the wires and still charged me an astronomical fee. Will never go to this place and never let anyone else go here. read more

Worst customer service experience... The guy talks to u with an attitude almost talking to you as if you were stupid for not knowing about stereo installation. They were very expensive and they always are try to get u to buy more unnecessary things. At the end I cancelled the installation because of the guys attitude an the price and I was charged 20$ just to test the radio that I brought (something that took 5seconds to do--which was very petty for "professional company" to do)...... .... If you want your tint work to look like the guy behind the counter at Auto Zone did the work this is your place. The guy who used to tint here did good work and took pride in it, the guy tinting now slaps tint on the windows as quick as possible. When I brought my car back to show him all the ripples, tears, and places the tint was cut short(and light coming through) he acted like I was being picky and it was my fault, and that a perfect job was impossible. The whole car was tinted previously flawless, so there is no pride in the work they produce here anymore. I have had 5 vehicles tinted here by the previous tinter. The tint was expensive here but the work WAS quality. I will never bring my vehicles here again. I also think they damaged some of my center console during the last "slap a tint" session, but I didn't notice it until a few days later so I can't prove it was them. In addition every time I have been in there several people are bringing their cars back to get something that was installed at Mobile One fixed because it broke. read more

I had them tint a visor strip on my windshield. It completely fell off within a few hours. I went back, and the installer offered to do the job with black vinyl, which is illegal in Jefferson Parish...and most places as far as I know. I declined. They then refused to give me a refund. I then went to Car Audio Connection on River Rd. Their prices were a lot lower than Mobile-One, they did the job in half the time, and the results were incredible. The installer also gave me an additional discount because he felt sorry for me having to deal with Mobile-One. read more

Went in to find out about an aux set-up. Was told that the cable for the aux could only go through the glove compartment. To see what was wrong with the old radio. Then $100 for the installation. You'd think it would have been done professionally. We got a whole system pet in. Radio,amp,tweeters and speakers. The speakers kept cutting out therefore we have been there plenty of times and every time we would go they would say they couldn't fix it BC it wasn't doing it at the time. The last time we were there they said there was something wrong with the door speaker. So we purchased more door speakers now that the warranty is up we are told that the amp was bad. They will not accommodate for anything. The amp has to be sent off and checked and I'll have no kind of radio in my car for the next few weeks. Horrible customer service. read more

Stay away! I went in to have them install a remote start system for $400. There was already an existing aftermarket alarm system installed so they had to remove it. They ended up shorting out the power door lock port on the ECM and claimed it was already broken when I brought it in. I had to pay $800 to replace the ECM and they wouldn't cover any of the cost. I've had a few cars audio done using mobile one...you'd think I'd learn my lesson! The first car the guy messed up the battery cable during installation and when they gave me my car back it wouldn't even start! They pulled it to the back and finally got it running. For days following I kept having trouble starting the car. We changed the alternator, that wasn't it, changed starter, that wasn't it, changed key ignition switch, that wasn't it!!! Finally a friend traced it back to the cable wire going to the battery. The whole time it was Mobile One's installation. We spent hundreds of dollars replacing these parts but didn't need to be replaced. Then my daughter bought a new Honda EXL and wanted to put the amp and speaker box from the older car into the new Honda. They charged her $400 and kept her car for two days. When she went to pick it up they thought everything was fine and it wasn't. Apparently there's a noise cancellation mic that needed to be disabled because the entire system kept feeding back and making a horrible loud bass noise. It sounded like every speaker in the car was going to blow and the windows were going to fall out. EXTREMELY LOUD AND SCARY! Her car didn't want to go off and kept saying that it was still running. Then it gets even better, the guy that installed the amp screwed through the backseat and into her leather interior where the armrest is. The two screws are poking out and she has two holes in her brand new leather interior. I have no clue where to go from here and who to call first but they better take care of this. I must say, from the negative reviews I've read about this place, they must have done something different since then as my experience was and still is top notch with them! I've been a customer for about six months now and my experience was and still is awesome compared to other car audio shops I've dealt with in the past. The staff is very friendly and extremely knowledgeable for the most part. I personally install car audio as a hobby but do not have the equipment in order to build custom set-ups let alone tune these newer signal processors the right way, so I choose to get that done professionally and I'm glad I chose this place. I purchased an Audison bit-ten processor to replace/upgrade my previous AudioControl DQ-61 as well as purchased a 12 inch JL Audio W7, which I had them make a custom enclosure for, to replace/upgrade the single 12 inch W3 I had in a ported box. Needless to say, I expected them to take a few days at minimum in order to get it all done especially since I wanted a custom enclosure done for it, but they told me that they would only need a full day to do it. At first this had me a little skeptical as I'm very meticulous about my installs, however, I went with my gut feeling and decided to go for it. I dropped my car off in the morning when they opened and received a phone call saying my car was ready to be picked up about two hours before they closed that same day. My installers name was Kelvin and the work he did on my ride was beyond my expectations!!! He even let me see some of the other custom installs he was working on in the bay and I must say that he does GREAT work!!! Since the day of my install I have gone back twice for him to tweak a few EQ settings on my processor to my liking since it's all done via a computer software. As I said before, their customer service has always been great to me. Even from just asking general questions, Billy is the go to sales guy in there if you really want to get some knowledge about car audio or equipment you're interested in for your vehicle. I highly recommend this place to anyone who is looking to upgrade their car audio! read more
