Destiny was sent to us as our stylist and make-up artist. What an amazing, cheerful person! Destiny helped me and my maid of honor get ready for my wedding. We did a trial a few weeks ago, which was very helpful in preventing stress the day of the wedding. We picked the hairstyle and the makeup. Destiny came with all her equipment which was impressive, she can do whatever you want or need. We had a really fun time the day of the event, getting ready. CANCELLED ON MY WEDDING DAY....... I booked Mobile Radiance after researching via the Knot. I booked both a Bridal Trial and Hair/Make up for myself and my mother. The website was a bit confusing between booking, knowing you were booked, knowing the right cost, etc. We scheduled my trial with Destiny about 6 weeks ahead of my wedding. Trial went well, she listened to my needs, and I was happy with the results. Get to wedding day.... I get a phone call at 6:45am from the owner. She says Destiny called her 10 mins ago and has a fever and will not be showing up for my services. What???????? I think I started hyper-ventilating and maybe blacking out at that point. She said she would be looking within her own team for replacements but I should start googling for other services and try to secure services myself. She was unable to guarantee a replacement. Mind you --- wedding things were already stressful (My FIL was in the hospital and missed our wedding, our hotel closed and relocated us and didn't tell us), this was just icing on the cake. And what is so weird, is I was texting with Destiny the day before. Mobile Radiance was able to secure a replacement for my hair - Amanda - who did a fabulous job and the only reason I am leaving 2 stars. I had to find my own make up - by blasting facebook - and the replacement didn't have a sitter so I had a two year old getting ready in my room with me. Such a FABULOUS wedding day.... If I had to repeat booking these services I would NOT re-book with Mobile Radiance. I know this is a total freak thing - who the heck knows what happened w Destiny. But the amount of stress that this created on my wedding day - a day I will NEVER GET BACK in my life was unbelievable. I did end up getting a refund for services I did not receive from Destiny - but I had to initiate that with the owner. read more

TLDR; this company is OK if you're on a tighter budget but I would recommend spending a few more dollars elsewhere... I booked this company for my wedding. I will say that the one thing that was good was their good, quick communication over text. They were generally flexible when adding on more bridesmaids. My artist, Luna, seemed to not really be happy to be there (both at my trial and at my wedding). At the trial, she did my face make up without a fan (the light gets really hot) so my face make up was splotchy. I couldn't seem to get my brows right with her, even after sending "inspo" photos. On the wedding day, one of my bridesmaids showed up late so we got charged with a late fee (fair) but it seemed that Luna worked slower (some sessions she took more than the alotted 45 minutes per person). It may have been because we asked her if we could just do the eye make up of the person who was late. It was stressful and Luna just made me feel like she didn't care (probably bc they charge tip ahead of time lol). The rest of my bridesmaids makeup got done OK but her make up style for me made me look tired (according to a few of my guests) and I ultimately had to fix my eye make up anyways. read more

Erin, the makeup artist, was top notch! She even graciously applied my false eyelashes is segments with non-allergic glue like I asked and they look great! My maids of honor and bridesmaids felt so beautiful! Mandi, the hair designer was also stellar and I'll use both of them again. My only tiny issue was with the company. I had booked my trial past the deadline for changes, and that's the whole purpose of a trial. It's to make adjustments. It's my fault for not realizing it in the contract, so because of this, the company has developed a néw policy wherein if a client books their trial past the deadline for changes, the client will be alerted. I shopped around for a hair/makeup artist for I don't know how long. I sent out so many inquiries I don't remember how many. I was looking for reasonable pricing and a diverse portfolio as myself and my bridesmaids/party are pretty different. I didn't have a set look I was going for, I just wanted everyone to feel pretty and like themselves. When I reached out to Mobile Radiance, I immediately knew this is who I wanted to go with. The owner is so incredibly kind, patient, and understanding. She put me at ease from the very first interaction. I knew we'd be in good hands. And then the artists themselves? They listened to my random thoughts and brought the vision to life better than I could have imagined. After dealing with multiple artists trying to get quotes or book trial appointments, I found one artist who was not great and told me a few weeks before my wedding that she wouldn't do another paid trial because she didn't believe anything could be done differently. In comes Mobile Radiance! I booked a last minute trial through their website and was paired with Destiny for makeup and Nicole for hair. They were both SO nice and accommodating. They listened to my preferences and really tailored the makeup and hair to fit me. It wasn't cookie-cutter-one-size-fits-all bridal makeup. Thank goodness they were both available for my wedding. Come the wedding day, they were both prompt and got to work really quickly. They were so kind, conversational, and really put me at ease during a time when my nerves were getting the better of me. I booked Plush Artistry and was assigned a hair and makeup artist for a trial, but at some point, it became Mobile Radiance. The two stars above are for the owner Jacynda and her responsiveness to my countless emails and questions. Here are the problems: 1. I don't think the structure of a company like this lend itself well to a very successful business. You can't really pick a specific artist, and one can easily cancel on you and be replaced by another. However, Jacynda was very kind and offered me a refund every time. 2. The above happened to me. While my makeup artist, Shineka, remained throughout, my hair stylist was changed two times. My third assigned hair person, Lailah, made it. It's annoying having to explain what I want every single time however! 3. The actual work/execution: Lailah did not give me the hair style I wanted. It wasn't even close. It was falling apart within a couple of hours. She gave me no consultation as to whether what I wanted will work with the hair I had. She couldn't fix the issue once my hair was done and my sister in law had to step in to tell her how to solve the issue. In the end, the hair I had was not what I wanted. AND SHE FORGOT HAIRSPRAY. What kind of hair stylist forgets hair spray? She was a newbie and it was too clear that she was one. Shineka was a really nice girl and I would say she did a much better job than Lailah, but using traditional makeup on me, she went about 1000% on my eyebrows. It was way too much. My false lashes started to come apart from my lids very quickly. And the makeup unfortunately wiped off way too easy. I sneezed into a tissue at some point and a lotttt of color came off. The makeup looked beautiful in pictures though. Suffice to say that I will not be using this company for my wedding. read more
