The team that showed up to do my car appeared to be a dad, mom, and their 2 kids. I was quoted $239 then told $329 after they finished my car in under an hour. Dad had no recollection of giving me a price. (I have it in writing). I gave him $300 and called it a day. Upon driving my car later that day, i found my phone holder BROKEN, garbage still under one of the seats, and a sticky radio knob. I don't mind paying but I expect honesty / transparency about a price up front, professionalism, and a job well done. I received none of the above from this "company" / family hustle. read more

I received a car wash and interior detailing at my residence on 7/12/24. They fiddled with my driver's side seat and broke the manual recline function, locking the seat in an uncomfortable forward position. Chevrolet dealership says I now have to replace the entire seat! Tried to reach out to them via phone, email and their website and they've completely ghosted me. Completely unprofessional and unacceptable. Would avoid at all costs. read more

I bought a Groupon for this auto detail service and called to make the appointment. He said that I would have to wait a long time to be serviced because he only takes care of Groupons in the order they are received and directed me to cancel my Groupon and he would charge me for the same amount. He came following week and detailed my SUV and charge me the Groupon rate and then he added sales tax on top of it. Groupon already collects sales tax for all of the vendors that it sells on its site in the state of PA. That statement was not truthful I basically paid in an extra $11. He also wanted an extra 3% to use a credit card. Groupon doesn't charge that 3%. He failed to provide a receipt showing the sales tax charge. Additionally, I believe he is just using Groupon as a means of free advertising and bypassing the actual Groupon purchase whenever possible so that he can charge the rate advertised and receive 100% of the proceeds as opposed to a percentage of the sales, which is how Groupon works. Basically, he's gaming the system which isn't fair to Groupon. My front seat was curiously wet after driving in the car for 10 minutes, I got out, and my pants were damp. I have electronically heated and cooled seats, and now I am a little concerned that the electronics might be damaged from excessive water use. The interior was clean aside from gunk left inside the leather fabric around the gear shifter and small flecks of tar on the exterior. I would not recommend this company and do not plan to use them again. His business practice is questionable as he is cheating Groupon and charging State sales tax incorrectly. read more

Bad... Bad.... Bad... is all I have to say. My $150 detail ended up$250....that wasn't the worse part! I got this detail as a gift for my son. We both got home to find dirt and grease in the wheels...it wiped right off with your finger. There were spots all over from not buffing the was out... that wiped right off with your shirt... The little door pockets inside were dirty! .... That was disappointing, to say the least... What was worse was that "Gary" had not the decency to return my calls or texts..... take your $$$$$ then he's "off the grid." Not even a response to apologize or offer to come and make things right.. This was a total scam. Gary marked the Groupon as redeemed before he arrived. He demanded that I give him the code over the phone or he would not schedule the appointment. On the day of the appointment he shows up within a loosely defined three hour window with a small group of girls and rather than help clean he works on you to find reasons to charge additional unnecessary extra fees. In my case the car was practically already clean. The car was protected by rubber mats and was basically clean. There was some dust on and around the rubber mats that needed cleaned off. He called the dust excessive soiling and demanded $60 in additional fees. I asked for a print out that explains excessive soiling because my car was basically clean. I showed him the mats come out and shake off and that the rugs underneath were already clean. He insisted I owe him $60. Gary as well as Mobile wash and Lube are a total scam. They under price on Groupon and try to recoup with additional fees wherever and however they can get away with it. Not only did the mats come out of my car as pictured and provided almost no dirt in the car and I was told I would not get a refund unless Groupon provided the refund because they already pre-charged me for the cleaning. The cleaning was pre-charged and the voucher was registered as redeemed for before they even arrived. I made a video and I took pictures to address this with Groupon. I warn anybody before they try to work with Gary. He is a scam artist. read more

I saw their van in my street and called to setup an appt. Gary asked qualifying questions such as do you have a dog, etc. I answered all and was quoted $159. They arrived on time, but after starting the job called me out to quote me a price increase because the car was "worse" than average. I had years of experience in the automotive industry and disagreed with this however, it was only a modest price increase and they already started, so I agreed. at the end when I come out to pay them and inspect the car I was satisfied with the cleaning. However, the disappointment for me was when the price was quoted. they hadn't quoted the price with tax or mentioned "plus tax", but instead added it on at the end. So when the final total was given the price had increased over 25% from my initial quote. read more

They did a good job. I got the Living Social deal and was charged an additional $30 fee for my vehicle based on the fine print though. The reason this is prompting a 2 star review is because the gentleman who detailed my vehicle poured over the deal coupon while I stood there until finally deciding how to assess me an additional fee. I would have been slightly annoyed but much more understanding if he had told me upfront about the charge as this would have made it more credible in my eyes. Instead it seemed like he was just looking for an excuse to charge me extra because of my deal purchase. Given this I wouldn't plan to use Mobile Wash and Lube in the future which is the reason for the 2 star review. read more

I called Mobile Wash and Lube October 2019 to verify that they service the area of Pittsburgh I live. The Groupon ad suggested you call before purchasing. When I called Gary said if I purchase through Groupon it will be a long time (over a month) before he can get to my car as he has many groupon customers. But,,,,, if I purchase directly through him, he will give me the Groupon rate and can service my car within days. It made sense to me that a business has to "balance" Groupon revenue with full price revenue to stay in business. I now see that he is using Groupon for FREE advertising and cheating the service. Anyway they used sooooo much water inside my car that when I sat down in the seat to drive home, my pants butt was soaked. I called Gary and said everything is soaking! He denied using much water in his cleaning business. I was concerned of mold and musty odors in my car. Then as I started my car (2010 MiniCooper) to drive home, the radio did not work.....actually no sounds were working. It turns out he blew the amplifier in my car with all of the water he used. When I called Gary to explain, only about half hour after the last call to him about the wet seats, he said there was nothing he could do and there was no proof that the radio was working before he cleaned my car. He would not turn in any insurance claim or help to defray the cost to replace my amplifier, $1,200. I would not use this company for anything. read more

These men were efficient, friendly, and adaptable. When they arrived, we realized that (unbeknownst to me) the water hookup in my apartment building was not working correctly - but one of the gentlemen asked for a set of pliers, did a little problem solving, and had things working in no time. He was gracious and not at all annoyed by the situation. Overall, I was very impressed with their professionalism, and they did an excellent job on my car. My mom purchased a coupon for us from Angie's List and they just came today. Our family car was disgusting and I wasn't sure how clean it would get. It looks amazing! We now have a strict "no eating in the car" rule! Gary (the owner) was very nice and gave us a courtesy call reminder a few days prior with a specific time range. The individuals who came out to do the work stated that it would be an EXTRA $60.00 because of pet hair when I had already paid $136.00 for the groupon. I purchased a car detail package for my husband for his birthday. On 5/9/2019, I called to schedule an appointment for 6/19/2019 (the soonest available date!). I spoke with Gary, and he told me they would call closer the the date to give me an appointment time. I never received any call, so I called Gary on the day of the appointment to ask when they would show up. Well turns out, Gary had taken down my phone number incorrectly (by switching two of the digits) and never recorded my husbands phone number, even though it was given to him. He would not own up to this mistake, and even implied that it was my fault (as if I gave him my phone number incorrectly..) He continued on to say that they wouldn't have been able to do the detailing since they didn't have my husbands phone number, and they would need it since they were meeting him at a business during his work hours. Again, not my fault that he lost my husband's phone number and wrote mine down wrong. He refused responsibility and did not do anything to make it right, only gave excuses. The work that was done was good but the owner was unpleasant and left out details about extra charges he could have brought up from the beginning. I don't mind the fine print details but not being told up front was bothersome. This business also has a very strange way or scheduling where he'll call you 3-5 days before he's free so you can't book in advance. If street parking is what you live with don't use this company. It was SUCH a hassel trying to find somewhere they could do it! We had to use someone else's house/driveway and was shocked when they asked if they could hook up to the water and electric! The work done was fine, although I question the wax (or lack there of) that they use but the way the company is run is why I will never be using them again. It started as phone tag, then when i got a hold of him, during the phone call he marked my groupon "redeemed" and then mentioned that it was past the expiration date so i couldn't use it for the promotional value anymore. I would have to pay another $70.00 or so plus the dog hair fee. Tons of merchants accept expired groupons (for many different reasons, multiple times Ive redeemed 'expired' groupons before), futher more why run my groupon as redeemed when im trying to BOOK an appt?!? I purchased a Groupon, and when I called to make an appt, I was told they would call me when they were in the area and could fit me in. I called them again 3 MONTHS later only to have them call me on a Sunday to say the were coming Monday morning. They also did not tell me that they would need access to a water and electric hookup. My biggest grievance after all that was that they left my garage a mess. They took apart my entire hose hook up that is wall mounted, and I have no clue how to put it all back together. I purchased a living social deal for auto detailing. The owner Gary and I played phone tag for months. Every time I called, he was on a job and unable to make appointments at that time. When he would call back, I was teaching and unable to use the phone. I was waiting over a week for him to call me back (again) when I received a very nasty voicemail from him basically stating that he was sick and tired of me never answering my phone and not returning his calls. (Not true, I always called him back.) I happened to be on lunch break at work during this time and called him right back. I apologized and attempted to schedule an appointment while he continued to raise his voice at me about how much of an inconvenience I was causing him. I was blown away and disgusted with his rudeness and unprofessionalism when I knew I did nothing wrong and honestly had been nothing but kind and understanding. After his hissy fit, he finally gave me an appointment. When the day of my appointment came, I had a friend visit and asked my neighbors to stay alert because I truly did not feel comfortable with Gary coming to my house. I wanted to cancel but didn't want to lose my money and deal with his harassment over the phone again. I would give this company 1 star or less if it was based solely on Gary. However, his employees that detailed our car were very nice and did a good job. If you're someone that has access to your phone all the time, I doubt you will have trouble scheduling an appointment. But if you're unable to take calls during work, get ready for him to be annoyed when he has to leave a voicemail. My suggestion for this company is to hire someone else to answer phones and communicate with customers in a prompt and respectful manner. I certainly would never use this company again. read more

Well, I purchased a voucher for a mobile detail for $99 through Living Social on April 2, 2015. First of all, there were no stipulations in the voucher about having to provide your own water and electricity source. We live in a third floor apartment. Secondly, they boast hours from early morning to evening seven days a week. As a working professional, obviously I am not at liberty to just "leave my car unlocked with keys on the floormat and detailed instructions on where the location of the car would be" as suggested by the owner Gary, who repeatedly insisted on an appointment during the middle of the work week, during work hours. The entire REASON I bought this voucher was the convenience of after work hours and weekend hours. It has been over two months now, and I can not get an appointment in the time frame I have requested. The owner Gary left yet another message on my voicemail this morning suggesting a 10 am appointment next Tuesday, again with the "call and leave me detailed instructions where we can find your unlocked vehicle." At this point, I am so frustrated with this man, and the fact that he clearly does not listen to his customers, I have requested a full refund and will never do business with this rude man again. Good luck to anyone who thinks this is a good deal. Save yourself the hassle and do business elsewhere. read more
