On one instance, one of our epMotion liquid handlers was defected, which required the expertise of Technical Safety Services (TSS), Inc. to help troubleshoot and get it up and running without delaying production. Handling scientific equipment for biotech companies is an intricate and delicate matter, as biotech equipment can range from thousands to millions of dollars. So when it comes to technical services with no warranty, we cannot just rely on ourselves! It requires real experience, skillful hands and patience. Our company's Quality Assurance Department reached out to TSS to help fix our defected epMotion liquid handler. Upon contact, TSS quickly sent Field Calibration Specialist, David Kronheimer, to come take a look at the machine and ensure our equipment was handled with the upmost care and attention. David did a phenomenal job diagnosing the problem and patiently took apart the entire machine within our tight laboratory space to reach the bottom of the machine. Turns out we had jammed the thermomixer during transportation. Like a surgeon, David disassembled the whole machine and then assembled all the pieces back together in sequential order, not once losing a screw. He was very professional, proficient and efficient at his work, also personable with great communication skills. We felt very comfortable having him work in the lab knowing that our machine was in good hands. Moving forward, we always choose David from TSS for laboratory calibration procedures.
