Ever since I am constantly jumping through hoops to schedule repairs for things like missing bolts, broken straps, supports, etc. At one point we were waiting for a repair for over a month only to have the manager at an Assisted Living Facility find out that there was some sort of co-pay for about $11 due that Numotion insisted was paid prior to sending out a technician to fix the wheelchair. I had no clue there was an outstanding co-pay, no phone call, no email, no bill sent, just a broken wheelchair on account of $11. Some how this company managed to bill me over $3,000 for the wheelchair but can't bill me a $11 co-pay or at least make me aware there is a co-pay before they will send a technician. Sales people were cordial, but it has been down-hill ever since.

My family decided at the last minute that one of our adults would be better off with a mobility scooter because her health issues make any walking tour a strain. The first place I called did not answer and wanted me to leave a message. I didn't have time to wait around for a callback, so I kept trying. I feel so lucky that the second call I made was to JK Medical Supplies! They were so helpful and so nice and knowledgeable. They even gave us ideas about activities in the area that we could do. The scooter they rented to us is a Vive 3-wheel. They made sure that it was the right size for our needs and gave us a demo of how to operate and transport the scooter. The scooter was in excellent condition and it worked well for us. In addition to concrete scootering, we took it on a day hike trail in the Shenandoah Valley. We checked with the visitor center for scooter-friendly hikes. The trails there are smooth enough, but we had to turn around when we got to the uneven rocky area with the obvious horse (ahem) trail. As far as the scooter itself, I would say the 3-wheel is excellent for touring in D.C. and flat, civilized areas, but if you want more adventure with the rocks and the horses, you'll definitely want to ask them for a more rugged 4-wheel with higher clearance and more lateral stability. I spent some time talking to them about their business and they claim that they are often called by a hotel concierge to remedy a delivery issue from less reliable rental companies (I thought about that company that didn't even answer the phone). They sound very dedicated to customer service. I did not need anything above and beyond, like middle-of-the-night service or delivery, but I did see firsthand how customer-friendly they are. It is very hard to find good customer service, but JK Medical shines in that regard. They also claim to personally research each product the sell/rent. They have a lot more than scooters. Our family member had a big smile on her face and laughed at being able to leave the rest of us in the dust, for once. It was a big contrast to what we usually deal with: a grumpy, droopy, sad face. Thank you JK Medical for making our visit to Virginia and D.C. a lot less strenuous and a lot more fun for our family!

Justin came out to give us an estimate and he and Dan started the work as soon as we could get them in our schedule. They had to shorten the metal rail that the chair runs along in order to install it. They also shortened and reinstalled the hand railing to another edge where it is very useful now. Once all this was done, they found that a chair lift part was malfunctioning. They took it upon themselves to troubleshoot first directly with the manufacturer and then organized a replacement part for us. We were up and running within a week (all this during Covid in April). They told us they also do other handicap adjustments in the house like grab bars and other items. We will definitely call them back when we need these extra services. Thanks Mack Mobility!

We turned it off and let it sit a while and it finally went up the rail to charge. This morning it came downstairs fine, my mother sat in it, and it would not go upstairs.
