Didn't want to use this place. Who would? Definitely don't want to use this place again who wants to have collision damage? But they did a great job of fixing up my car after a deer savagely decided to cross into my path whilst I was doing 50. They sorted everything out after a single phone call. The towing, the dealing with two insurance companies (I was doing uber at the time, The deer didn't have insurance!) They kept me informed of what was happening via a text update every two days. Sucked that there was a delay due my AC compressor going faulty, but they sorted it out during the 100 degree temps that we were having. Very happy with their service. They even took me on a tour of my car on pick up. Even though we were having biblical rains that day. I don't ever want to use their services again, but they were good value for the money. read more

UPDATE ON REVIEW 3/23 OWNERS SON MAKES THREAT I reposted my review on a local Facebook page that I started and after some input from the members and some posts stating postive experiences with this body shop (I welcome and encourage those) and a few posting negative experiences the owners of the body shop Son posted the following "Either you take this post down or I can visit you, your choice". Which of course to anyone reading this can see is a threat. FWIW he also works for them. Read the original review below to see what his Mother stated to me. The local authorities were informed of this threat and a screenshot of what he said was provided to them and also attached in the pictures below. DO NOT USE THIS BODY SHOP. THEY GET PAID FOR WORK THEY DO NOT ACTUALLY DO. ZERO STARS!!!!! Read the entire updated review please. Issues, The first being over spray on the car. It was on the drivers side front and rear windows, the windshield and the rear back glass. The second issue was noticing that they charged for removal and inspection of the rear bumper cover and tail light, however the rear bumper cover was never taken off. The push pins that hold it in were never removed and the bumper cover had over spray on it. Had it been removed it would never have had over spray on it. The front bumper cover was removed and its easy to see that it was because it has several brand new push pins put in place of the ones that broke when they were removed. Its very common for plastic push pins to break when they are removed. The rear bumper cover has all of its original push pins in place and they have never been disturbed. The over spray on the rear bumper cover looks to be where it was left in place and taped off for painting. Took the car back to them to talk about this issue and Tom was very defensive, basically telling me I did not know what I was talking about (I have been in the automotive industry for 37 years) He asked me to prove it was never removed and I said "lets put it up on a lift and I'll show you", to which he replied "Just go tell Erie and I'll do that for them but not for you". I had heard great reviews about this place and up until taking the car back to talk about them getting paid for taking the rear bumper cover off and not actually doing it I was treated very well but things turned around today for sure. I have contacted Erie and will let them handle it. Update on 12/7/2020 After talking to several people in the industry I have come to find out that this is not the first time they have been confronted over not doing work they were paid to do. Its also not the "preferred" body shop to do business with in Mt Airy. Also Erie is taking this seriously and I have forwarded them pictures and evidence of the rear bumper cover never being taken off and their fraud unit will be investigating. Update on 12/8/2020 at 4:15; Just got a call from Marsha, the other owner. She left a voice mail stating "I saw the review you put on google 9 hours ago and we need to discuss this, I will take legal action if you do not call me back". I saved the voice mail message she left as proof. I called her back as a courtesy, told her that Erie was handling this and that I did not call back to argue with her, she immediatly said "your fucking review is wrong and you need to take down that google review before I sue you for defamation" She handled this situation worse then Tom her husband did. Her foul langauge and threats were not only unprovoked but unprofessional as well. Its a shame because I tried working with them when I took the car back to them to talk about the issues, but ever since have been met with a defensive, less then professional and threatening demeanor. Zero stars it is. Pics added of overspray on bumper cover and undisturbed rear bumper cover securing push pins. Pic also added of rear door they charged 12hrs labor to fix. Thats right, 12 hrs of labor into fixing that door most said should take 4 Also Marsha felt the need to leave a one star review on my business page for some reason. Caliber Collision - Owners Son threatened to "Visit me" if I didnt take my review down. - Body Shops Near Me - Mount Airy, Maryland

The Mt airy, MD location is absolute trash. Took my jeep grand Cherokee there and upon picking it up I noticed bad hazing of the clear coat and a blemish in the front bumper. They agreed to repair all of the issues. When I brought the car back, I was told that it would take two hours to repair the poor work. Over seven hours later it was finally done and when I asked about the bumper I could tell that the service person forgot. He then claimed that the problem was a rock chip and wouldn't repair. When I asked why it still wasn't done with five extra hours I was told I should have called and I needed to wait another 20 minutes. When I showed up to pick it up, I got to watch them talk trash and make faces before giving me my keys. Poor work and poor customer service. Stay away. read more

I went in to see if they could buff something out for me from the paint job I previously had received from another auto body shop and Savanah the service advisor & Jerry a technician I guess really made me feel welcome & took great care of me. Definitely know where I'm going when I decide to get more work done. I definitely recommend this place. Thanks again guys read more

I just read some of the reviews back from mid-2023. I always had GREAT service with Mt. Airy Collision and Tom and Marsha. Never had a problem with any repairs. Recently, I needed the step bumper insert replaced on my Silverado. It was 4:30. I had the replacement parts. Ronnie looked at the damage and asked if I wouldn't mind waiting for about 20 minutes. Expecting that I would have to schedule an appt, this was awesome news! They repaired a bent mounting bracket (I was shown the pictures) and I was on my way! I appreciated the quick service and willingness to 'get it done' then and there. Nice job Ronnie and techs! read more

I dropped my car off for what should have been minor body work and was given a 5-6 days time estimate for repair. On day 8 I called them as I had not heard anything back. They told me my car had not yet been worked on as they needed a final "push" from my insurance company. I called my insurance company & they put me on hold to call them then came back to tell me it was taken care off as there was an error in their understanding of a new system that didn't require any further action. (How is this company not able to follow up on something like this with me or the insurance company and just let the car sit?) I called Caliber again to confirm they understand the go from the insurance company and was told yes and that it's take them another 5 days from them to work on my car! 6 days later I heard nothing and followed up again to be told the body work was done and it was in cue for cleaning which would be completed the next day. 2 work days later I called to check again and was told they were short staffed due to an upcoming holiday and the cleaning would be done after that. It is now two days after the said holiday and no call or car. Should it take an entire week to clean a completed car?? On top of that they promise to call you back and each time have never--not once--followed through on that. Their customer service is awful and I now wonder what state my car will be in if I ever get it back. My 5 day fix has turned into an over 3 week ordeal! read more

This place is wonderful! Was in an accident due to the snow and they worked on my vehicle every day- Tom the owner is present and often calls you to keep you updated on your vehicle, you won't leave there in any sort of disappointment- sadly I can't give a price range because the other drivers insurance covered all damage but staff was very friendly and helpful! Had to rent a car from enterprise and could drop the vehicle off at Mt.Airy and they take it over there so no hassle to get there and get my own vehicle back! read more
