Moccia's still has the same amazing food and great service that it had when they first opened. It is one of the first stops I make when visiting family from San Diego. I had the cheesesteak with cooper sharp and hot peppers. Which in my opinion is one of the best! I also had a slice of cheese pizza. Very disappointed with chicken Parmesan meal. I ordered pick up. The lettuce in the salad was brown, translucent and soggy. Did not eat it, Just picked out the tomatoes, cucumbers and dipped in the dressing. You would think they would of saw the lettuce wasn't looking fresh in the container and switched it out with a better one. The garlic knots are not garlicky at all not even a taste of it. Just finished my chicken salad hoagie that John made me earlier today. It was absolutely the best chicken salad hoagie that I have had from anywhere in the entire Philadelphia area. We want to thank Moccia's, Matt and his crew who prepared, delivered and served all of the food for our sister's 80th Birthday Party on Saturday. The food was delicious and well presented. It pains me to write this review. The two stars were basically for the lovely woman that waited on us. For a restaurant that advertises that they are the best Italian food in the county, I have to whole heartily disagree. If you like frozen food that is reheated and served on a plate then this is your spot. We ordered eggplant parm, and a veal parm sandwich. Neither were homemade, and the veal was a ground patty. Nothing about this meal was satisfying. Perhaps they make a good pizza and we should have stuck with that. In my opinion ( and I should know) there are places nearby that serve better homemade Italian food. Again sorry, as the people that worked there are very nice. read more

Good service and good food selection. Our group of 6 were seated quickly and there were no issues with the preparation.

Was in town for the day, and googled a good restaurant, and this is the first place that showed up. Thank god it did. The beautiful outdoor dining area was perfect for the spring weather. We started with bruschetta, and it was so fresh and delicious. We decided to split the sausage Parmesan sandwich, and they were kind enough to split to plates for us. It's been years since I got the bums rush lol guess our waitress wanted to leave early. Got the baked ziti and was just a notch above chef Boyardee. And the other waitresses. Were having there down time at the table in the dining area next to customers and being loud. For these reasons I would not recommend the don't respect the customer the food is awful for the price. Been coming to Moccia's since I was a little kid. Lived in Spring mount for the last 21-ish years. I'm 26 now. My Fiancé and I just moved to Telford and wont be able to come like we used to! :( You really cant beat Moccia's. The food, the whole vibe of the restaurant just makes the place feel like home. All the staff that work there are always extremely nice. There is nothing like stopping in for a slice with black olives and some mozzarella fries! Simple items but its so much more than that. We are soooo sad to have moved 20 minutes away but It wont stop us from returning any chance we get! read more

My grandson and I visited yesterday. We have eaten at Moccia's frequently through the years and their food has always been good. I was disturbed to see sign behind cashier stating a surcharge would be assessed to those paying by credit card. That was a covid thing that was prevalent allowing business owners to recoup some of the monies lost while businesses were shut down. Every customer opened their wallets wide to help small business stay afloat during that time. It is VERY offensive to think that is appropriate now. Prices of meals have adjusted as pricing has gone up for owners to provide a menu item. Some "things" are part of being a business owner in today's world. Gouging a customer for that is greedy and obnoxious. read more

Nice meal here tonight. This place is a super popular hang out and gets very crowded. Of course you know I eat at off times. I enjoyed a plain piece of pizza and Sicilian slice. Very generous in size. My friend got a salad with her entree and didn't want it so she gave it to me. It was crisp and fresh composed with just average iceberg lettuce, red onions, grape tomatoes, and croutons. I was disappointed because there weren't any calzones on the menu and that was what I was looking forward to. They have a good sized menu though and I liked the pizza. Our daughter and son-in-law discovered this place when some friends invited them to join their family for dinner. It's about 10 miles up the road from where they live. I was surprised to see that just driving 10 miles away brings you to a semi-rural area. Our daughter had to work one night during our most recent visit. Both she and our son-in-law recommended that we all go here for dinner while she worked. Apparently our son-in-law likes this place so much that when the kids finished watching a tv show at 4 p.m., he immediately got them dressed to go to dinner LOL! We ended getting there about 4:30 p.m. on a Friday night and the place was just about full! Still, the friendly hostess was able to accommodate the 6 of us and we were seated immediately. Moccia's Train stop is A-Ok. While their pizza isn't the best I've ever had, it's far from the worst. Their pizzas are baked in conventional ovens which is evidenced by the lack of charring that's found on wood-fired or coal-fired ovens. The crust is thin with a little crisp to it. I found the tomato sauce to have good tomato flavoring with no hint of sweetness. We decided to start with an appetizer that our daughter and son-in-law had raved about. It is called "bruschetta caprese" and, as its name suggests, it's a hybrid of the two dishes. Chopped tomatoes mixed with onion and garlic are placed atop a lightly toasted piece of Italian bread, then topped with a piece of fresh mozzarella. It is finished off with some artfully drizzled balsamic vinegar. This turned out to be a tasty appetizer. Given the time of year, the tomatoes weren't as ripe or as flavorful as they are at the peak of their growing season. I can only imagine how much better it would be had the tomatoes been in season. My husband and I decided to share a 14 inch Margherita pizza. This was an unusual Margherita as it had plum tomatoes on it, in addition to the tomato sauce. We should have read the menu description more carefully. The only cheese was put on the sparsely placed tomato slices, which I found to be stingy. The basil portion was generous. Again, an A-Ok pizza. The kids shared a 16 inch white pizza which consists of mozzarella, garlic and onions. Our daughter doesn't like them having pizzas with tomato sauce as it can get messy for them. I was surprised to see that they each ate 2 large slices, leaving 2 slices to take home. Our son-in-law ordered a 16 inch spinach pizza which consists of spinach, mozzarella, and garlic. He ate 2 slices and brought the rest home. After all, our daughter insisted on this as she said she wouldn't eat dinner at work so that she would have room for the pizza! All in all, between the kids' pizza and their parents' pizza, we ended up bringing back a whole pizza! While our daughter and son-in-law concede that this pizza isn't as good as a good coal-fired oven pizza (they both love Grimaldi's pizza!) they say it is the best pizza that they've found locally. Not having had any other local pizza I can't say for certain but I'm guessing that they are both correct. My husband and I agree that if they want to go back when we are visiting, we wouldn't object. I have been here several times for either take out or for an event through our local service club that I belong to in Boyertown. Steve, Jon , Matt and their staff made us feel welcome and were very attentive to our needs. The brothers came out to check on us and made sure everything was ok. The food was outstanding I've had the veal parm and is outstanding. I've had the tour of Italy which was great. The It was a huge platter and like many of us we had left overs for a second meal. I've been there several times for a take out meal and I've had their hoagies and cheesesteaks which were outstanding. I have recommended this place to someone I know who moved back to the area from out of state and they said that they tried it and is their go to spot. The staff here are friendly and the Moccia family do an outstanding job. I highly recommend this place the FOOD IS AWESOME as are the people who run this place. I just moved to the area in the winter, and have ordered to-go as well as dined into Moccia's. I need to ask how to properly pronounce the name, but the inside atmosphere is so quaint and nice - perfect for lunch! The french fries are crispy, and even good the next day.
