    Where's the beef?

Got a Zep tonight for dinner NO meat! Second time this has happened forgetting I had ordered one time before and the same no meat. Beyond disappointed plus I have been asking for a new menu for a while now as their prices are minimal $3.00 higher than the menu I have. SO SORRY!! Wrong Amaedos ! The one I was referring to is in Trooper PA

We hired Amadeos for our baby shower and people are still talking about how great the food was weeks later! Beth went above and beyond to help us with choosing a great menu and even came to our house to make sure everything would be set up correctly beforehand. Joanna and Missy helped serve and clean up during our party and they were the sweetest helping our older guests! We ate leftovers for a week that's how generous portions were. You truly made our special day so much better and we are so grateful for your top notch food and service! We will definitely hire Amadeos again for our events.

I love this place. I have been eating here for over 15 years. The food is authentic and is very good. Hoagies - Pizza - Salads - soups - Stromboli - burgers - chicken and beef. They even make 72" hoagies and do catering. The seats need rebuilt but that is only because above average weight people eat here - that's how good it is.

    Drive by.

There are SO MANY pizza shops in the area that they need to stand out amongst the competition. Amedeos Too blends in. Decent cheesesteaks, but not amazing. Pizza has been a bit disappointing, but it will do in a pinch. The Buffalo Chicken Cheesesteak is really BLAND. You might be impressed if you've never had a good Buffalo Chicken Cheesesteak. No offense intended to the reviewer who loves them. Parking is a pain in the neck when it's busy due to a small and awkward lot. To make matters worse, many of the patrons aren't very good at parking in small, awkward lots. I'll keep my theories on that to myself. It's a local business with a pleasant staff with a good sense of humor, and for that reason alone I'll keep Amedeos Too in the rotation of pizza places.

Calzone with a pound of ham slapped into the middle.

I have ordered from Amadeo's Too countless times. They typically have solid pizza and decent hours. I can't say I always get a super customer service experience, nor can I say it's among the best pizza I've ever had, but it's pretty good and it's conveniently close. I'd probably rate them four stars, but tonight I was disappointed. Let's be honest, you end up writing reviews on Yelp when you feel strongly about one or multiple experiences. Tonight I felt strongly enough to write a review. We ordered a ham calzone. The calzone was very clearly just a pound of sliced deli meat slapped right into the middle of the calzone. It was excessive. It was a solid pile of meat. There was no ham on either side of the calzone, just a 3" x 5" rectangle of ultra salty meat stuck right in the middle. Only at Amadeo's Too have I ever had a ham calzone like this, and it's actually the second time. Once, you might just say 'they were in a hurry' or 'maybe it was a new cook', but when it happens again it's worth mentioning. I was sharing it with two other people, we had to take apart the whole thing so that everyone would get some of the ham. I honestly would've just reached out to the owner, but there wasn't a way to do that on their website, so Yelp it is. Photo included.

Mix of four tops - some larger groups ... not a lot of families/ kids though. I was early but they seated me ( appreciated that). Took my drink order - Brought out bread and a really great dipping sauce while I waited. I got the chicken parm w / pasta ... friends got the specials ( a seafood pasta and another pasta dish). We all loved the food! Service was awesome - Our waitress was very attentive and the food came out quickly. One odd thing - the fire alarm went off. But - instead of panicking the staff kept us informed and no one freaked out. It was a malfunction I guess because it went off again for a few minutes but we were told there was no fire etc ( relieved) We enjoy the Library in Collegeville which they also own - they know what they are doing for sure!!

Everything was flavorful and thoughtfully prepared, and the crispy potatoes were absolutely to die for. While my swordfish came out slightly cold and a tad bland, the quality and taste of the rest of the meal more than made up for it. The service was strong, especially considering how busy New Year's Eve can be. We were taken great care of by who I believe was the manager for the evening, which made the experience feel especially welcoming and well managed. Our server seemed extremely busy, and while we wish he could have been a bit more accommodating, it was clear he was juggling a lot and still handled everything wonderfully. My family comes to Tressini very often and we always look forward to dining here. it's a place we truly enjoy and trust for a great meal. The only things we'd love to see improved are a bit more variety on the menu and more dessert options, as there was a heavy focus on gelato. Overall, another lovely experience, and we'll definitely be back again soon. It was definitely packed for the holiday, but it was not crazy loud to the point where you can't hear yourself so no complaints on the ambiance.

I think what made it so good was the silky smooth texture of the sauce and the neutral flavor of the guanciale. Every component was cooked perfectly. We left the Regal theater and to our surprise there were many open seats! ===No reservations? === We decided to try it as it was 7 PM. Perfect! (Hint; the place was literally empty. There may have been 10 tables with 30 people at the most. ) The greeter was austere to say the least. Didn't even say follow me! Just walked in front of us w menus. (Did we disturb you?) ===Seating === The entire place was empty, so where did we seat - right between two tables within 3 feet of each other - that we could barely speak amongst each other thinking that we were all sitting with one another - yet there were at least 100 tables empty all around. (Hint: the ceiling is - well not there! So all noise is all over. Terrible acoustics. ) When we left there were fewer guests as well. The table on our right definitely felt uncomfortable and finished almost immediately. Leaving. My wife was very 'proximate' uncomfortable. === Menu === Very confusing- needed explanation right off. Too many options. Perhaps this is the 'focus' issue with prep. Too much to do and remember for cooks QA perhaps? === ===Drinks Beer and aperol spritz great. Service was very good. === Focaccia not focaccia. === Don't call this by a name that the Italians would not recognize. Call it a browned brioche roll. This is not focaccia. My son was taught how to make and taught me how to make focaccia. With rosemary. I've had focaccia all over Italy. This is not focaccia. A browned expensive dinner roll, that's all. (if I make better bread, well, that says it all!) Why? It had no bubbles, no airy top, no salty top, no outer crispness, ----because it was baked 'as an American roll - with no rosemary in it. NO FINGERS! We ordered it - or we thought. The rosemary was stuck in olive oil, which is ridiculous. It will never pick up the taste of rosemary. And the olive oil was mediocre at Best. A ridiculous amount in excess. Try better oil, and less of it. === Plating === It looks like the plates are from the Amalfi coast. They're beautifully accented and they certainly make the place. Table settings are very nice. Atmosphere superb. === Meals === Quick service. Too quick - read why. Preprepared proteins are poorly done. My wife's meal was Salad; A 'Pile' of arugula with one 1/8" slice of a heirloom tomato. No other veggies. The $9 added chicken skewers were grilled, but overcooked. Plus, My wife asked for dressing on side. Nope!!! Not done. Too oily. My meal was Pasta; Consisting of a pile of linguine, three mussels, one clam and three shrimp. For $36. Price would not have been the issue if it was a good dish. Shrimp were tasteless and rubbery. Mussels bad. Ruined the dish. All proteins were removed and left uneaten on a separate dish. Ate the spaghetti which had a bad smell. I hoped my wife would not ask for a taste. (She did. She said this is bad. ) === Focus on quality - amend deficiencies === So, how does a 'model Italian' Restaurant screwup a simple dish?... easy,,,,,add spoiled and overcooked protein! 5 Simple shellfish and fish quality questions.... 1.Why didn't the preparation sous carefully smell it after retrieving from the fridge ? 2.Why didn't the preper smell after making it and before adding it? 3.Why didn't the finish cook smell and taste the dish? 4.Why didn't the expeditor smell it? How could you NOT? Whoa! Ouch! 5.Why didn't the wait staff report it? Or even acknowledge all the leftover proteins and my 'spoiled' statement? Improvement by a corporation is difficult. I now see why the place has 3 stars......barely. ===My recommendations === Cut the menu, make each dish perfect, not close, but perfect. (And DO NOT ADD BUTTER TO CASIO E' PEPE. That was incorrect information- I hope. Whoa. That would be a heart stopper. If true.) Full disclosure: I will not prepare a (one star or two star ) bad review for a family restaurant, or a small food preparer who makes their living that way. However when it comes to venture capital or chains I expect three stars or higher. So therefore, this one star rating applies. (Honestly, I don't think I have but one other 1 star rating a decade ago.)
