We ordered takeout from here two days ago. We ordered a large cheese pizza, a personal steak Stromboli, a child's penna and meatball and a panini , along with a Sicilian salad. Service was quick and ready for pickup when stated. I just had the pleasure of consuming a delicious sautéed onion and provolone cheese hamburger from this relatively new restaurant or maybe it's just that I am new to the area ha! Regardless, I had picked up orders from their establishment in my door dashing days, and have not yet tried their food as a consumer. 6/22/24 my first time at Peppe's in Gilbertsville. My son and his wife bought a new home in the area and we ordered take out from Peppe's. I hear it's always busy so they must be doing something right! The restaurant is along swamp pike and used to be the Allstar Cafe. We ordered a Cobb salad with grilled chicken, a white pizza with spinach and ricotta, order of fries and a chicken cheesesteak calzone with fried onions. Altogether the cost was 78$. A bit on the high side but I know food costs have skyrocketed as well as inflation. The food was delicious and high quality. They must have put the equivalent of half a pig in my salad- so much bacon- . There was very little avocado and my main complaint was since they bagged my salad with hot fries- my salad was warm. Yuck! Hot food HOT- cold food COLD. All in all on site if that I thought everything was delicious and I would definitely go back. read more

My wife really liked the pasta with lobster sauce, I had the Tuesday special- crab-legs / with shrimp. Crab was too small to enjoy it all. The last knuckle and tip of leg were unworthy to try to shell. The upper leg fought me at every step, I had to dig to get meat. Very little meat at the body. The 4 pieces of shrimp were good. Maybe if I dipped what meat I could get in butter, I would have been more fulfilled. The crab was cooked and shelved as it was not warm when it got to me and meat had shrunk up inside the shell. I definitely will not repeat my order next time as it was not worth the $32.00 The restaurant was nice, no complaints on the staff. My daughter ordered take out for my dad's 84th birthday. WE ordered pizza, wings, and salads. The boneless chicken wing celery had bugs on them! Everything we have had at Peppe's is on another level, from apps to sandwiches to pasta and pizza. But the Grandma Pizza----- I can't describe. Literally. It's the most incredible pizza ever had. Please ask my fiancé, the pizza connoisseur, who could eat a slice a day- the Grandma he says is one of THE BEST! The crust is thin, crispy but enough dough to take the toppings. And the sauce- slightly sweet, no tomato burn. Delicious! We've ordered the fried pickles twice- light breading, not oily, superb. And an absolute standout- The seafood fra diavolo!!! Die Every piece of seafood was cooked perfectly. The mussels- THE MUSSELS! Never a better cook to mussels I've had before, basically didn't even have to chew them. Takeout experience only. This place is quite popular right out of the gate. Fairly large parking lot to handle the masses. Everyone working smiling and happy to be at work. The Grandma pie was ready right on time and a sharp looking pizza. Cooked perfectly with massive slices. I ended up double cutting to make eating that much easier. Great balance of fresh ingredients and not oily at all. $21 and change. Well worth it. Pickup area thru the bar area and clearly marked. I doubt I'll be back. Not impressed with the food or the service. I ordered a veal cutlet with broccoli rabb and provolone cheese sandwich. The first thing I noticed was that it probably sat under the heat lamp too long. The veal was overcooked and chewy, the broccoli rabb was rubbery. Our waiter never bothered to come by the table after delivering the food to ask how it was. In fact, we had to ask someone else for him to come to bring boxes to take home the remains. Have been coming here for a year now. Mostly takeout but a couple dine-in visits. I just turned 70 this past Monday and made this my Birthday dinner spot. Had my favorite, Chicken Parm and it was excellent. It was just my wife and I but it was the perfect place for my dinner. Excellent as always. The restaurant layout was very well thought out. The servers are always a delight, upbeat friendly and extremely efficient. Can't wait for their gift card sale this year. Two bars, great views off the one side, family friendly, specials, excellent pricing and portions, great selection. Everything I look for in a great restaurant. Had lunch with my friends and ordered their cob salad. I know salad!? This was the best salad!! Avocado eggs chicken so much in it. I could only eat half and I never have problems with eating while meals! Lol. Had the other half for dinner. Good Italian food, it used to be my favorite place in the area but the kitchen has gotten so busy that a lot of times the pizza or Stromboli is under cooked. It's a shame because they were one of my favorite places to go. read more

Worst shrimp scampi I ever had. Smelly, watery and no flavor. Skip this place. Packaging was poor liquid spilled in my car smelled.
