I thought that sounded delicious and refreshing and it was. A perfect combo of sweet and tart. While there was plenty of seating inside in the cool air, I opted for an outdoor setting. The patio was too sunny so I walked across the street and found a nice bench in the shade. Service was great. There was bike parking right outside of the shop. Great stop.

Some seasonal drinks and flavors nail it, but more often than not, I wouldn't know what the flavor was if I didn't order it as they just don't have enough of the flavor. My biggest complaint is cleanliness as it often looks like some deep cleaning is in order. They roast their own coffee which is awesome, though if you're a "coffee snob" like we are, we've noticed their beans are flat so we don't tend to buy them unfortunately. Service is always super friendly and I still prefer going here to a chain. They also often have tea drinks on their seasonal menu which I love that they cater to tea drinkers as well.

It's a nice place to spend an hour or two catching up on emails, though it can be busy (and a bit noisy) at certain times of the day. Parking is easy, with a dedicated lot out back and free two-hour street parking out front. One random noteworthy thing is that they have the nicest take-out coffee cups I've seen anywhere (see photo), with a sturdy design that makes it a pleasure to hold while also providing extra insulation. It's a small thing, but it's actually the first thing that comes to mind when I think of Munkabeans!

She was so helpful at making recommendations and helping me create my own sandwich (which was a great croissant with egg and cheese). She overall made it a really great experience and makes me want to come back even more. I can speak more to the experience I had with her than to the food and coffee, but I did enjoy the banana caramel nirvana cold brew that she recommended. I stuck to reading my book, which was great until they started playing music inside (randomly like an hour after I got there). Now music in a coffeeshop is fine, but this music was staticy, skipped often, and was incredibly distracting. I eventually just got up and continued reading in my car because the workers either couldn't fix it or didn't know how. The Pistachio latte had good pistachio flavor, but I have qualms with a coffeeshop that charges $8 for a latte, and then proceeds to slop it together...no foam, no latte art, and so hot that the milk was scalded. In a world where there is a coffee shop on every corner, you can find better elsewhere for sure. I don't mind paying top dollar for a latte these days, but I deserve it to be well-done.
