I had heard so so so many good things about this cafe and they were true. On a Saturday or Sunday prepare for a line to form before the doors even open but do not be intimidated because they take care of their customers fast. They are KNOWN for their rolls. I think it's their caramel ones but I always forget because both the caramel and cinnamon rolls are so good. Their coffee is great and I have even tried their smoothies and they are so refreshing and good. I have been happy with every choice I have had here. I also think this is such a cute area to take a walk with your breakfast treats and enjoy the Victoria scenery. read more

Have gone here for coffee three days in a row and it is delicious! Iced white mocha with oat milk was *chefs kiss*. Also do not skip the chocolate chip cookie. I was super impressed! Met three friends on a Saturday morning. Had a chance to observe the ambiance while waiting for them. Three or four pleasant and courteous staff members working non-stop to serve the continuous flow of customers. Ample seating for those that want it, and a brisk to go crowd as well. I ordered their specialty latte and a carmel roll w/nuts. Loved both! New to Victoria, and had observed all summer the nice outdoor seating, but today (too cold for outside seating) was my first visit to Ruby's. I had the apple cider donut. It's not a donut But is more like a sponge with heave brown sugar and frosting stripes on it. It was small in size. This was my first time going to this place and will probably the last. We bought 2 donuts at a whopping 4.50 and my daughter bit into hers and found a small hair sticking out of it. They had 3 young ladies in the shop with the one in the back wearing a sloppy ponytail and no hair net. Gross I expected more from this place and was disappointed in the value and having a hair in the donut. read more

Love this place. Love the owners (they don't know me). I love the fact that this site, and the previous, are near major bicycling routes and they appreciate sweaty cycler's patronage. I do think that there are better places to find espresso in the Twin Cities, but RR has several interesting drink recipes; their mocha is delish; and the baked good cogniscenti among us recognize their offerings as superior. Being from Plymouth, it's still a bit of a haul for me to get there by bicycle (30-40 miles roundtrip), but that works great as a stopping place for a weekend morning workout. The four times I've stopped in (3 at the old place in Meyer, once here), the owners have always been very welcoming and appreciative of my business. If you believe in Buying Local, then by all means get your butt in here. If you're an ambivalent carb-addict, then get your butt in here and order one of each (that works best when you're with a friend to share). read more

Haven't been here yet but just moved back to town from northern CA and am a Victoria native. Just wanted to leave a 5 star review to support local business and to counter the 1 star reviews for employees not wearing masks and utilizing their first amendment rights. I hope when I come in to get coffee and cinnamon rolls the employees are still able to free their faces like the true Americans they are and haven't bowed to cyber bullying and public pressure. If you are afraid of covid then you probably shouldn't be out in public spaces anyways. Order to go, or order online. It's that simple. However I walked in for the first time in 6+ months and was surprised to see staff were wearing facial shields and not mouth and nose coverings. First place i've seen the staff with this limited ppe approach, esp in food/beverage in quite a while. My fault in not leaving before ordering. We walk here most weekends in the summer. The scones are amazing the coffee options are perfect. The Carmel or cinnamon rolls are to die for you need to get there early before they disappear. Honestly everything is delicious and the family who owns it are so kind. I really almost don't want to post this for fear the next time I go everything is gone before I arrive. I was appalled to see that not a single employee was wearing a mask when I went to get coffee today. This is an issue of leadership and management. It should not be left up to employees to decide whether or not they endanger their and customers' lives while at work. The owner and managers must set the expectation and requirement that masks be worn; they wouldn't make it optional for their employees to use protection while handling hot pots and pans, or for dishes to be washed, or even hands to be washed. There is clear endangerment and disregard for people's lives at this cafe. I will not be returning and urge others to do the same. read more

Being new to MN, I'm always looking for the next great coffee/bakery "digs"....and Ruby's Roost fits the bill! The pecan caramel roll was caramel-y delicious. The roll wasn't dry...just perfect. Another thing I could resist ordering was the pumpkin muffin! It's not traditional with heavy pumpkin, heavy sugar. This is light pumpkin, not overly sweet, topped with a light streusel and pumpkin seeds. Super yummy. Then I topped it all off with a blueberry white mocha...oh, yeah, it was fantastic. The cozy atmosphere, with nice tables and a long counter looking out the window, along with the soothing jazz music makes it so inviting... the next great hang out! read more

(one in the corner, not hear a table) Perfect place to have an outlet strip would be under their bar / counter-top.
