We had to drive to this location from a neighbouring Mochinut due to the sheer fact that we got robbed lmao. When we arrived at Mochilion we met Isaiah, what a warm person he is I loved the atmosphere he provides. Together we stood in bewilderment and held a moment of silence at the sheer sadness of our original Korean corn dogs we ordered. Isaiah after blessing us with his presence then crafted us what Mochinut is known for. Amazing Korean corndogs and donuts! My bf got coffee brown sugar boba it was so yummy you can taste the coffee perfect for coffee lovers!!! The Korean Corn Dogs were so good...we wanted seconds The staff were super friendly and very welcoming love the vibes here! The prices are super affordable and this place is perfect for a friend hangout.

Mochi Lion was such a great find! We ordered the Hot Cheetos dog (half weenie, half cheese) and the Crunchy Ramen dog (full cheese), and both Korean corn dogs were made fresh to order. You can really taste the difference when everything is prepared fresh! The shop itself was cozy, clean, and comfortable, making it a great place to sit and enjoy your food. They also serve low-calorie, high-protein ice cream, which was a fun surprise. I tried the caramelized banana flavor, and it was absolutely delicious! I also highly recommend the fresh black milk tea. You can tell it's brewed fresh rather than made from powder, and it paired perfectly with the corn dogs. On top of the amazing food, the owners were incredibly kind and welcoming. Their hospitality made the experience even better. I'll definitely be coming back and would recommend Mochi Lion to anyone looking for fresh, delicious Korean corn dogs and drinks!

The place has a few things to offer. The service was on point and she was helpful. Everything was delicious.

I haven't been back in a while during my time at UCR, but my most recent visit was great! Mochi Lion is under new ownership and there have been a ton of improvements (menu, seating, vibes). Staff is really friendly, patient, and helpful, especially with menu changes and new specials. I'll definitely be back!

Mochinut -- err, I mean -- Mochi Lion Riverside (new name) is located just off the 60 Freeway and University exit, near UCR. They offer mochi donuts that were popularized in Japan (Hello, Mister Donut!) in various flavors. They are slightly sweet but nice to have occasionally. And they make the cutest gifts if you don't want to show up empty-handed. These donuts would instantly bring a smile to anyone's face. They are cute and delicious! They do have a rotating menu so be sure to check back often for any new flavors you want to try out. I'd come here more often but the parking situation steers me away - there's just not enough parking spaces. But if you're patient, they are worth it. Overall, tasty alternative to the ultra sweet "crumbly"cookies - you know the name - that's consistently presentable and fairly priced.

Just a small shop when you walk in. Tried just buying the items one by one: 2 corn dogs and 3 donuts, would've costed 24 bucks, but they had a cheaper for 20 bucks. It was a pretty long wait time though, 2 to 3 customers did come in after us, but was super excited when it was ready. I was disappointed though when I bit into it and discovered that the dough was still raw, and it was difficult to eat it since it's like smothered in hot cheetos. It could've used a minute or 2 longer in the fryer. Also, when the worker was picking the mochi donuts into the box, he dropped one, looked at us sheepishly and still gave it to us, felt like he should've picked another one.

Cute place for a donut not really a place to stay and eat it at, they do have tables but it's pretty small so if people are ordering you don't have a whole lot of space for privacy, service was really good the donuts were delicious, I got the watermelon kiwi drink and it was way to sugary. This place is a little in the expensive side, but I would go back for a donut whenever I wanna splurge at $3.50 each ;) plus the packaging is cute. There is ample parking outside but lots of house less individuals outside. I get it everything is expensive, but maybe they can have a loyalty system if they do have one I wouldn't know because I wasn't offered or told or read anything about it.

Ordered 3 pc mochi donuts and 2 mozzarella dogs and he charges me $24 + tax. I asked about the Mochi Lion box that is literally the same thing and he says "Yeah, that's basically the same thing." So why did you charge me individually instead of the box? The worst part is the actual corn dog. It didn't even get hot enough to soften/melt the cheese.

I am late to the Korean hotdog game, so I was hoping that after all these years most establishments would have their food right. Not to say the food was awful, I guess I was expecting better. I ordered two items: original dog (half cheese half meat) and potato (half cheese half meat). The items themselves were alright. This is my first time trying, so I don't have anything to compare it to. The sugar on the original was a nice touch. Sightly sweet with a crunchy for an ASMR moment. The dough was weird though. After a few bites of both items, I couldn't stomach the rest. Felt like such a waste. What was asp disappointing was the lack of knowledge the staff had about pricing. Menu inside reads that the prices for what I ordered were $4.99 and 5.99 respectively. When I was rung up my total was over $12. I typically don't pay attention or mind, but it just didn't make sense. I asked, "is this after tax?" The cashier said, "I don't know." What? Then I reference the menu above her, and she asks the other staff. They looked so confused. I was then told I'm charged for the boxes the food comes in. Okay fine. But I don't need a box for each item, and also WTF? Please inform your customers about what they are being charged for. I'm not trying to complain about .20, but this happens way too often - people don't know what's happening, staff and customers alike are not paying attention, and that day I happened to not be in the mood to be hustled out of extra coin I guess! Anyway, just a head's up about what's going on. Also, I have had Mochi donuts in other locations and this particular location's items looked stale. Didn't look fresh at all. UCR village could do way better. I was super unimpressed and won't be back.

They were on their third day of soft opening when I came in. If you've never tried a mochi donut, they're soft and chewy interior is surrounded by a lightly crispy exterior and topped with a glaze. Now if you go to the website, you're gonna see a huge menu of flavors, but they specify that you should call and see what flavors the location has that day. When I went there were 6 flavors to choose from and I got one of each. Be aware that the smallest quantity you can buy is 3 for $9, Then 6 for $15, and 12 for $30. This location also has korean hotdogs and boba tea! The service was great! Stood in line for a brief moment and was welcomed by the staff. I did hear some people upset about the minimum purchase thing, but they would've seen that if they checked the website. The boba was kinda cool to watch. They build it in the "can" base then top it fresh with the lid. I'm usually particular about my boba, but this was good! My only complaint is that it's a little difficult to get all of the boba out with the can lid. The donuts were *bomb* and when they were down to half a tray of their original, I watched them bring out a fresh one. My surprise favorite of the bunch? Passionfruit. They're all good but the passionfruit glaze had a wonderfully intense flavor. I didn't try a Korean hot dog but that's for next visit! Tl;dr: Minimum purchase:3. Limited flavor selection each day so call if you're looking for a specific one. Tasty. Good service. read more

I stopped by the place during their soft opening. I ordered 3 donuts, 2 hotdogs and I love it so much, finally Mochinut comes to Riverside, no need to drive all the way to OC anymore. The only reason I took off 1 star bc of the Mochinut was pre make so it's not hot and a little saggy, because most of Mochinut I have been visiting it's hot and a little bit crispy. But I definitely come back for hot dog. So good! Highly recommended. read more

Service was good! I came at exactly open time and had to wait a little bit (20 mins ish) for some of their flavors to come out so I guess that's something to keep in mind. Place is going down hill. Immediately after walking in with the floor sticking to my shoes the smell of toilet water punched me in the face. I noticed the bathroom door had a paper over the sign with cardboard saying "storage room" what is being stored in a bathroom?? The counters were full of hot Cheeto crumbs and the tablet kiosk thing was full of greasy finger prints. Trash on the floor, is no one cleaning on a regular basis? Not to mention all the dirt and chipped paint on the walls, tape on the bar table where people eat? Cmon now. Had planned on "dining in" but changed my mind. To be charging those prices and to have such a dirty facility is crazy. I have been to this location multiple times. I won't be returning. read more

So after seeing everyone online eat the hot dogs stuffed with cheese and an amazing cheese pull, I had to go and I definitely wasn't disappointed! The inside has great decorations and fit the whole theme perfectly. We decided to try all the flavors of donuts they had, have no complaints each one was better then the last, light and fluffy and full of flavor. The bob and teas are refreshing, plus the "can/cups" that they put them in are adorable and re-usable which is nice to take home to use as well. 10/10 for the hot dogs. The sausage tasted like real meat and not watery or mushy at all. The mozzarella cheese pull after the first bite was so satisfying and exactly what I was hoping for! Me and the hubby will be returning many more times in the future as I have a feeling I will be craving all of it a lot more! read more

Ordered the potato corn dog and Thai iced tea the outside of the corn dog didn't taste good and then the gentleman didn't put the milk on top so he remade it. Then the next customer ordered Thai tea and he tried to give him the one without the milk on top he called him out so he remade his too. But the bad part is the next customer ordered a different drink and the lady made it wrong but let her keep the mistake one read more

It was our first time trying korean corn dogs and once we walked into the store we were so disappointed ! The young girl that was working today, 11/2 had a really bad demeanor. You can clearly see that she didn't want to be at work and had a sour face on. She didn't make eye contact with any of us .. she wasn't nice , she didn't smile. I didn't feel right being there as it was so quiet inside ( y'all need some music or something) and the worker didn't have any customer service skills.... It was all over her body language. We ordered the sweet potatoe corn dog and it wasn't cooked thoroughly and the batter was raw inside. I won't be coming back again. read more

I recently visited Mochinut in Riverside and was blown away by the delicious treats and friendly service. The store has a cozy and inviting atmosphere, with warm interior design and natural light pouring in from the windows. FOOD The donuts are simply amazing they're made with high quality dough which gives them a chewy and slightly sweet texture. The flavors range from classic (like glazed and chocolate) to more unique options (like tiramisu and coffee). My personal favorite is the pistachio, it is perfect for pistachio lovers!! In addition, don't forget to get a half half hot dog on your way out with your favorite donuts!! DRINKSare also top-notch!! they use high-quality ingredients and have a great selection of flavors. I tried the lemon ice tea and was impressed by how refreshing and tasty it was. In addition to the ice tea, the store also had a wide variety of other flavors and toppings to choose from! What really sets Mochinut apart is the exceptional customer service. ‍‍The staff is always friendly and willing to answer any questions you may have about the menu. They truly care about creating a great experience for their customers, and it shows. I had a disappointing experience at this Mochi Lion location. When I walked in, a guy greeted me and said to let him know when I was ready to order, but when I told him I was ready, he continued refilling things and didn't take my order right away. A girl with a ponytail came out later and when I said hello, she didn't respond, which made things feel awkward. The whole vibe of the store just felt off, and to make it worse, the strong smell of bleach lingered the entire time I was there. I ordered two mochi donuts and a potato hot dog, which came out to around $14 definitely on the pricey side. The donuts were okay but nothing special, and honestly, I wouldn't go out of my way to get them again. The potato hot dog, however, was a letdown. It wasn't cooked thoroughly it tasted raw, doughy, and mushy. I've had better ones at Mochinut, so I'm not sure what went wrong here, but it shouldn't have been that different. When I received my order and said thank you, the staff member just went back to cleaning without acknowledging me. Overall, the customer service and food quality left a lot to be desired. Mochinut is definitely better, and I don't see myself coming back here. read more

I was honestly really disappointed with my recent visit to Mochinut. As soon as I walked in, there was a strong sewage-like smell, which immediately set a bad tone. The donut selection was underwhelming with very little variety compared to what I've seen before. I also tried one of their Korean corn dogs, and it tasted burnt--likely from what looked like old, overused oil in the fryer. On top of that, the fryer itself appeared dirty, which didn't inspire much confidence in the food quality. They were also out of boba entirely, which is a big part of why people come here. Prices have noticeably increased since my last visit, making the experience feel even less worth it. To make matters worse, the condiment bar looked poorly maintained, like the bottles had just been refilled repeatedly without ever being properly cleaned or replaced. Overall, the cleanliness, food quality, and value have seriously declined. I wouldn't recommend coming here in its current state. read more

MochiLion has some of the best corn dogs I have ever eaten! Hot cheeto mozzarella is definitely my favorite to get from this place. The donuts are also so delicious, soft, and has such a unique texture to it. Has a very welcoming atmosphere with amazing and friendly customer service and delicious food! Next time, I'm going to get the chocolate cookie and probably the same bowl. I loved it here.
