My partner in food wanted to try the King Kong against my better judgment. Looking at the photos, it didn't appear conceivable - to make matters worse, he wanted it to go! It came deconstructed. Four HUMONGOUS beef patties and probably a whole pound of bacon and beautifully melted cheddar. The bun was questionable, mostly because it was nowhere near enough bread for all that meat, but I get it, in a challenge situation, I wouldn't want to load up on bread. The patties were well seasoned and firm. I would have preferred medium, but since I was sharing, well done was fine. Not over done and still juicy. It also came with a container full of steak fries! I admittedly put a hurting in the fries, dipping them in the house ranch mixed with the jalapeño ranch. I wanted the fries to be crispier and the ranch to be thicker, but they were delicious nonetheless!! So how much of it did we finish?? I finished one patty with out bread!! My partner finished one and a half patties with sandwich bread. The bun got designated to my leftover patty. Tomorrow's lunch will be a single patty burger with half a pound of bacon!

Now I don't know if they have another station where they wash their hands or not, but the fact that an employee was using the restroom and exited without washing their hands is absolutely disgusting. I do not understand why someone doesn't have the decency who is working in food service to not take measures to be sanitary. So I will never eat at this establishment again and just for general health and safety, I would avoid it.

After graduating, I moved back to Dallas and reconnected with some high school friends who all attended UNT and from them, I had always heard them rave about Fry Street but never experienced it until Halloween and it was pretty chill. We started off the night at Cool Beans Bar & Grill. Within this particular bar, I loved that the staff and everyone were dressed up in costumes for Halloween, which added to the festive atmosphere. The bar offers both indoor and outdoor seating, giving it a relaxed and versatile vibe. My friends ordered food and drinks, which were really affordable. The food itself seemed like no-frills, classic bar bites-exactly what you need for a fun college night out. Especially to start the night off or something to get to sober up. The drinks were solid, and we enjoyed hanging out before making our way down the strip. Fry Street is definitely different from what I'm used to, but I think it's such a cool, close-knit spot. Even though it's small from what I'm used to, Fry Street and its bars, including Cool Beans, will help you get to where you want to be for a fun night out. The free peanuts are a nice touch, and they offer daily specials as well. I really miss the Bloody Mary bar, which was always a lot of fun, but their Sunday special makes up for it with a generous double for just $7. There's always a game on TV, which is a welcome break when you've had enough politics to last a lifetime. The servers and bartenders are consistently friendly, welcoming, and helpful.
