Gyro Greek Omelette sub gyro meat for sausage and bacon!

First off Jessica is AMAZING. kitchen staff was very fast and efficient with making my food as well! I got the bacon cheese omelet with tomato's and onions that's in the gyro omelette. They were very kind given my strict diabetic diet as well;)atmosphere was nice and calm now that everyone is gone for the summer too Keep up the good work!!

Pastrami dog with chili cheese fries

First time trying here because I wanted a dog. The service was good, then again I was the only person there when I went, and the food was good as well. I decided to try something different and got their pastrami dog. I can see why people were talking about the pastrami being salty and it was, though not too bad for what I got since there was so much going on. I don't do Mayo, so got it without that she overall it was a pretty good dog. I did decide to pay the extra $4 for chili cheese fries instead of regular fries, but it was soooo worth it. Yes the chili wasn't made there, so was made and shipped in (they said it was made in their Detroit location), but it's all good and tasted pretty good imo. Overall, I would have no problem going here again because while $15 is a little more than I wanted to spend, it was worth every penny

Honestly, love this place. Don't judge a book by its cover super good food. I love the hotdogs. Servers are always super nice and the ambience is great even when it's full.

    Brioche French Toast

When I saw the sidewalk sign mentioning their Brioche French Toast, I decided to give this place a try. Fortunately, the notice on the door did not give me second thoughts. Rather than needlessly occupy one of the available tables and booths, I decided to sit at the counter. One of the three waitresses came over to take my coffee and food order. When I ran out of coffee and looking for my waitress, she was a few seats away on her meal break. Of the two remaining waitresses, only one was waiting on the diners at the booths and tables. Unless the third waitress was also on a break, she could have waited on me and allowed the other one peacefully enjoy her meal. Fortunately, my waitress regularly checked on me while on her meal break. As for my meal, the Brioche French Toast was okay. After confirming I was given maple syrup, my waitress offered more. I declined as I did want to drown the French toast. The egg custard was light on one side as I was tasting the bread; otherwise, it was okay. I enjoyed the sausage patties more than the french toast. My waitress left the counter, so one of the other two waitresses served my check. When I saw it was incorrect, I had difficulty getting the two waitresses' attention as they were both busy on their phones.

Why no one ever told me of this place. OMG, this is one of the best hidden gems in Denton. May not be so hidden. Perhaps I'm the last one to know about it. Before the first bite, I was in love. The waitress was wonderful. She walked us through the menu and was as much excited as we were. Then the food was to die for. I had the chicken omelette, but I want to try everything on the menu. This my new Saturday hangout. Please try this place out. You will not be disappointed.

Food: 7 out of 10 I've been meaning to go here for awhile, and glad that I finally did. They serve breakfast all day, which is my favorite ;) We ordered the hungry man breakfast, the dix special, as well as an order of the cinnamon roll French toast. It was all very filling and tasty. The bacon was very crispy, but loaded with flavor, a bit too much for me honestly. LOT of fat, but still good. The cinnamon roll French toast was very sweet, and thick, like me. I will post more stuff up when I go back, and next time I'll try not to get breakfast

Gyro with a side of fries

Dix is always the place to be for my friends and I whether it comes to birthday, a casual lunch/ breakfast, dinner...anything! I was hesitant to try the gyro given the last picture of it was 6 years ago and looked really sad, but I ordered it today & it was AMAZING! I usually get the 3 cheese grilled cheese but i'm lactose intolerant so i opted for something else that would be easier on my stomach. It was well worth the change of order! Service is typically good & the environment is nice and homey. I would recommend coming here at least once, there's so much to try!

I was so excited to try this place! Monday night my friend and I ate at the restaurant and split the all American hot dog and pastrami burger. My friend only ate the hot dog and was fine. I ate both items. Approximately 8 hours after I was severely vomiting. I was sick for four days and I'm still sore and recovering. I called and talked to the manager. But I can only get a refund if have a doctors note for food poisoning. I unfortunately don't have health insurance at the moment. I've been home self medicating and have receipts of the medicine that I've purchased for recovery. Moral of the story is to please practice food safety protocols and check if your food is of good heath. And if you want a simple refund for getting sick at a restaurant and you have no insurance, then good luck because there is no winning. I've never had food poisoning before and this is by far that most physically painful thing I've experienced.

    Chili fries and Patty Melt

I brought my two friends here on a Sunday morning after church ; I myself love this place so much and wanted them to experience the same thing. We all ordered some kind of sandwiches; I got the patty melt ( pictured with a bite taken ) . They loved this place and went on about the food after we left ! Chili cheese fries are a must coming here ! Breakfast all day ! Great staff and comfortable dining environment! I heard the banana pudding is discontinued... VERY sad . I hope they bring it back . BEST DESSERT.

The pastrami was too salty and dried out Burger was similar to what you get at a Dairy Queen but a lot higher.

Idk if there is an actual portal to NYC installed in the door or what. There are elements of Denton scattered throughout, though, which are pleasant reminders of the unfortunate reality we face upon finishing our sandwiches. The first time I came here was 9pm on a Tuesday. I was craving some cheesecake and the staff was very pleasant in accommodating me. The cheesecake is very good especially for the price. That can be said for all of the food I've had thus far. Today I got the All stops sandwich (and a slice of cheesecake), which was impeccable. The sandwich was so filling I ended up saving half for later! I'm a pretty large guy so that's unusual but a great surprise for me! The service is fast, place is clean enough to eat off the floor. I was surprised it wasn't busier to be frank. The bathrooms were clean, and there was a newspaper above the toilet from a couple days ago. How cool! Overall epic experience and I will probably be a regular.

My hubby and I walked right in,m got seated and ordered our Vietnamese iced coffee, grilled pork spring rolls, shrimp pho and #22 Beef rice plate. Service was pretty fast. The spring rolls were delicious but did not come with peanut sauce so you'll want to ask for that if you're hankering. We just used Sriracha and the chili oil. I devoured my roll. The pho looked good. I wasn't sure what to expect with #22 but I sure was pleasantly surprised. I got too full after the roll so I ended up taking it to go. But the flavors were on point. The beef was thinly cut, lots of yummy lemongrass, over a bed of rice. It did come with fish sauce (but I didn't care for that), a lettuce cup with pickled carrot shavings and some tomato slices. I ended up taking the leftover bean sprouts and fresh jalapenos home. It was enough for 3 more meals! I loved it so much that I had it for breakfast and lunch today. Saving one more serving for tomorrow. If you like this kind of cuisine (pho is a perfect hangover cure) then you should try it. The coffee was pretty strong so I won't order that but everything I had was delicious. Go there, get some. It's not fancy and it seems family owned so that is very cute indeed. Life is too short for boring food so go eat some now and hang onto those leftovers!
