I do not typically leave reviews however, this was the worst nail service i've ever had. Let me start with the nail tech was working on a pedicure before me and came to do my manicure and did not wash his hands before he started working on me. He clipped my real nail down the middle and covered the hole with a paper towel and glued it down... Praying i don't get an infection. Lastly he cut up every single finger to where they were bleeding and it hurts so bad to do anything. I will NEVER come back here. I have never been to a nail place with so little care in there customers. read more

Update: I called to let them know what happened, and I requested a male to do my nails this time and he did not disappoint. His name is Lee and he was very diligent about fixing the problem. Because of him I have to change my original review because they were accommodating and I would definitely come back to him for service. I think it is just hit or miss but if you can book him, I highly suggest doing so to avoid having to come back twice. ------------- I came in because my original appointment was canceled last minute and it was a huge mistake. First there was one lady who I assumed checked me in that started taking off my powder dip, which was fine. Then another woman came and started doing my nails. It seemed pretty normal until I realized these two work and joined at the hip, apparently, because the one who began doing my nails, hovered over us and kept talking. There was no regard for the fact that I was watching the TV she kept blocking or the fact that the nail technician kept stopping to have a gossip session with her. For nearly $50 you would think I would have at least gotten some quality work for having to sit there and watch them gossip about someone in the shop, which they made very obvious . When the nail tech was finally done, she was so eager to finish her conversation that she ran over to the other technician, who was also the cashier, and they completely ignored me. I would not suggest this place at all, it may look cute, but the service is definitely over priced and they will under deliver. It is also disrespectful to talk over someone and block their view without even considering taking a seat if you're going to stand over someone for an hour and have a conversation . read more

I chose this place because they weren't as busy on a Saturday afternoon. The technician was very sweet. However, less than two weeks later, my nails are lifting from the cuticle and falling off. The manager claims this is normal for dip powder, which is simply not true. I've been getting this style for years and never encountered this issue. They might be suitable for basic gel and polish styles, but advanced techniques are clearly not their strength. I most certainly am not happy and will not be returning. For $80 before a $10 I added, I shouldn't have to be getting my nails completely redone this soon. read more

This is typically my go to nail spot, they have great service and usually do a great job with manicures / pedicures but this evening when I went the lady doing my nails stopped 4-5 times throughout doing my nails to text and check facebook for a good 5 minutes each time. Not only was she not focused on the process and being unprofessional being on her phone but the job she did was pretty horrible. awful experience Asked for mani/pedi for me, my daughter and her friend. They made us wait 40 minutes before I threw in the towel and almost a WHOLE hour before my daughter's friend got any attention at all. We sat in dirty massage chairs with our feet in cold water. Another woman walked in and got her dip nails done and left before they finished with the girls. Mind you, I did not get any service whatsoever because we did not have three hours this afternoon to waste staring at the wall. This was my second time going to MOD Nail Lounge. Lee did my holiday dip manicure and it is the best I've ever had. He was expertly fast, gentle with the tools, and the shaping is phenomenal--no bumps or any unevenness. Not even any acrylic left on my hands! He is very kind and I am his client always now. Really, everyone working at the Lounge is very nice. Almost everyone came over to say hello and to watch Lee's process. I can't believe this only cost me $50 with my student discount and before* tip. I got dip nail and a pedicure services here as I am on the hunt for a new nail spot in Dallas! They were so quick to take me and did such an amazing job! I had two women working on me simultaneously, cutting my nail salon trip in half (have never had this before and it was so refreshing!) Shape was garbage, the man was rushing with the filing process and then when i called back to ask how much it was for a full set they told me $40. The best nail place in Dallas! After walking in late one night, I wasn't expecting to be seated, I was just curious as to whether they would see me or not seeing as how I was desperate for a nail fill. The "open" sign was still flashing but it was past opening hours. When I walked in, Mai, who I later learned was one of the co-owners, quickly sat a friend and I with no hesitation. My friend getting gel and me getting dip with tips, our requests weren't exactly simple considering how late it already was. I explained to Mai how no one else was open later in the evening (I think it was around 8) and when we saw the "open" sign we were so excited especially since we had never tried this place. She was so sweet and so helpful. She offered some add-ons to my friend with no extra charge and was clearly going out of her way to make sure we had a good experience even though we were those annoying customers. Once finished, my nails had never looked better! I'm a nail biter so tips is always a must for me, but typically a technician keeps filing down even though I specifically want longer nails - this is a constant problem I run into. Leena, the other co-owner and lady who finished my nails, did an excellent job and payed close attention to detail. If you go for nails definitely request Leena or Mai!! read more

Since this salon has reopened under new management, I've gone twice for the pampering gel mani/pedi. The salon looks amazing! The ambience is cool and relaxing. The atmosphere, professional. Both times I've been in, the results have been fabulous. The hot stones, citrus, massage, and paraffin are fab. And the results last 3-4 weeks. I only went here because my usual place didn't have any availability, and I ended up going to to my usual place the following day to get my nails redone. The nail technician at MOD didn't even file my nails so they were all uneven lengths, and he left dried dip powder all over my hands and under my finger nails that was so difficult to get off. MOD nail always does a fantastic job on my toes (I've only gotten a pedicure here) I always do the MOD pedicure which is $40. I will say that both times I have been here, I had to wait 5-10 minutes even with an appointment, but I've never been in a hurry. They ALWAYS do a good, thorough job and they're extremely nice and accommodating. Lots of colors to pick from too! read more

I have heard really great things about the salon, but the man who did my manicure was out the door before I could finish paying at 7 PM. Decided to try this place out because the location is very convenient and they were open on a Sunday. I went for a gel mani and pedi. The technician doing my nails talked on her phone with one hand and did my nails with her free hand several times. I would have let this slide if the manicure turned out nicely but it looked sloppy and started to discolor after only two days. I would have preferred she stop and go take her calls.
