They did my feet and then when it was time to do my nails they claimed it was too late to do them after making me wait 30 minutes after my feet were done so they could take care of someone that got there after me. Rachel said she would do my nails in 30 minutes and started doing a super rushed job barely even taking off the old color i had on- i had to ask multiple times for it to be done right. Then when i asked for another nail tech (because im going on vacation and don't want botched nails done lazily and rushed) she said the other tech will take longer and made me leave with acetone and old polish all over my hands. No discount either, just wasted my time. The level of unprofessionalism truly astonished me . Went in to get my toes painted and acrylic added on my big toe. Told him I wanted my nail to be longer and he kept insisting on a smaller size. When he did he the other toe he actually listened to what I said and when i asked him to make the other toe like the second he started to be totally unprofessional and rude. I couldn't talk without him cutting me off and was very very rude! If I could give this place negative stars, I would. Don't recommend. I really want to give 3.5 stars but based on the overall fact that I would go back I am upping it to four. I walked in about 10 to 7, they closed at 7. They didn't turn me away but asked me to pay in advance...kind of threw me off. There were two girls, each one did one hand...no problem there. One was a clock watcher though. I mean, if you expect to leave at 7 then stop accepting people at 6:30...I was starting to feel rushed and unwelcome. The more I thought about it my takeaway is just to note what time they close daily and try to get there earlier because I've been there: you're ready to go but one thing keeps you there. Both girls did a great job and I am super happy with my gel (shellac) manicure. Perk 1 is that there was a guy working there that I have had do my nails at another salon...so excited I found him! Perk 2 is that I sat in a pedicure chair for my manicure...not sure if this is standard but you MELT in these chairs. So comfy! Beats the traditional office chair for manicures. I didn't even attempt to turn it on, didn't need to. Perk 3 = hand massage! I feel the the majority of manicures don't include this anymore. It's nice! I was a walk in on a Sunday and expecting to wait a little bit, however, they took me right away. I wanted shellac manicure and a regular pedicure. Two ladies got started right away. It didn't appear that there were many, if any manicure stations, but there were at least 14 pedicure stations, might be why the ladies did mani/pedi at the same time. I really can't complain. I was in and out in about 30 minutes (maybe a little longer I didn't time it). Shellac doesn't look smudged, toes look nice. Overall a great experience! I really liked that the nail polishes were arranged by color so you didn't have to do much hunting. They also have two large books of shellac. $30 shellac manicure and $25 basic pedicure. read more

I had an appointment at noon for a pedicure and Next Gen manicure. Took 2 hours, they did my full pedicure before my manicure started. Today is my third time here, and so far, I've had nothing but positive experiences. They're a family oriented business, and quite friendly. They make sure their clients' nails, toes, etc come out looking and feeling great. They're not as "fancy" and "ritzy" as some places I've visited, but it's okay. My favorite nail shop right next to my favorite Starbucks. The atmosphere is pleasant--recliners, soft music, clean walls and nicely tiled floors. This is a very clean shop, too. They use tubs for the pedicures, none of those foot-bath chairs, so I trust the hygiene of this shop more than others in the area. The techs at Mai Le nails do a great job with manicures, pedicures and acrylic nails. The acrylic looks delicate while still being sturdy and resilient. I swear my pedicure lasted about 5 weeks last time I went there, too. If you're in a hurry, they can work fast, but typically they don't rush, and you get a great arm or calf massage. This is a great place to go with friends for a day of indulgence, but if you have a group, call a few days ahead to make a reservation. I have been to several nail salons in Dallas, and I have walked past this one more times than I can count. After reading a few reviews (and being tired of the terrible service elsewhere), I decided to try it out. I have now had two pedicures here. For the first one, I just requested a basic "get the job done and get me out" pedicure. (I'm usually so irritated by lack of massage ability that I don't bother with the 90 minutes a full pedicure takes.) In thirty minutes (maybe less) and $25, they had me in and out with soft, callous-free heals and beautifully painted toes. I was more than pleased. Because of how pleased I was, I decided to give them a shot at a longer pedicure with massage. I scheduled an appointment (highly recommended) but was 5 minutes late. Don't be late. I then had a 30-minute wait, so I left. In all fairness, it was my fault. They are constantly packed (for good reason), so I understand them taking the walk-in when I was late. I scheduled an appointment for this evening, was on time, and I had zero wait. Hai (pronounced "Hi" like "hello") was ready for me with supplies and everything, and a smile. I had told them in advance that I wanted the 60-minute package. It was, without question, the best foot and leg massage I've ever had. Trust me when I say that I've had several. I've done those foot-spa places, therapeutic massages, all the fancy ones that claim to do trigger-point or deep tissue -- I have found three, yes THREE, people in Dallas who actually make feel like the massage is worth the price. Hai was one of them. I will be asking if they do chair massages, because I bet he could do a number on my shoulders. (Side Note: a multitude of massage therapists have told me that they don't understand how they aren't hurting me. I also get dry-needling once a month to break up trigger points. I know an effective massage when I get one. And let's be real, 70% of a pedicure is all about the massage.) I kid you not when I tell you that Hai got my sinuses to drain. He speaks very little English, if any, so I showed him a picture of a foot reflexology chart. I pointed to the sinuses area, and he pointed to his sinuses with a a big ol' smile. He knows foot reflexology! Shouldn't all pedicure people at least have a basic understanding? He even massaged my knees. It was... say it with pride... FAAAAAABULOUS! Amazing. Now for the other 30%. I'll submit a photo when I get home, but my little (okay, I *might* wear a size 10 shoe) toes are beautiful, and my lower extremities are quite happy. $45 and a $15 tip (yes, I'm that happy) and I'm going home to do absolutely nothing. (I don't sit still... ever. I'm just that relaxed.) One negative and one potential negative depending on how you view it: 1) The girl at the front could be friendlier. I don't know what her relationship is to the owner (if there is one) but she often seems annoyed to be there. I could live without that. Plenty of people are unemployed and would love her job (if they spoke both languages). 2) Walk-ins are slim. Make an appointment and make it early in the day. One of the best places I've ever been to too get my acrylic nails done at. It was a little daunting a first to walk in and see recliners instead of spa chairs, and to find the nail station in the back of the salon when I'm used to seeing it in the front. But then I started noticing the place is clean, it doesn't have that chemical smell most salons have, and the atmosphere was much more friendly then other places. When it comes to the acrylic nails I get to see the same woman every time, she speaks english, and she does what I ask for the nails to look like NOT what she wants the nails to look like as so many other places I've been to do. I don't like the square look nail but more of the natural oval look. Lots of other salons I've been too will argue with me about it or just kinda round off the corners of the square nail. But Na has never suggested I do anything other then what I want done and does a great job. She also has a better, and to me, unique way of doing the pink and white sculpting that gives a very nice arc. I also like that I never have to listen to the sales pitch about doing nail art, etc. I'll be truly sad when she graduates and isn't doing nails anymore.. but she has sisters (LOTS of them). I've never been a fan of Pedi's because I am VERY ticklish, and I hate those spa chairs. Nothing says Klutz waiting for an Accident like trying to navigate getting into one of those tall spa chairs, then stepping down when your feet are damp to a tiled for. I picture myself falling every time. But I wasn't sure that I liked the recliner set up this salon has either.. until I tried it. All I have to do is warn them I'm ticklish and it's done. The calf and foot message afterwards rocks too. Wow! O, and as a big girl with knee problems, the recliners are FAR more comfortable then those stupid spa chairs. $40 for gel pedi and $30 for gel mani - this is by far the cheapest in Dallas AND they are really good! The staff is really nice and super quick! I would have given 5 stars if it weren't for the following: 1. Selection of gel colors, would like more variety (less glitter, more naturals). 2. I made an appointment at 10am, but when I got there they didn't have me on the books at all (They were able to service me right away, but when I make an appointment I expect you to know about it!). 3. They seem to have a dysfunctional appointment system all around. A customer came in for her appointment with Jessica at 10:30a (a standing appointment that she claims to have every Wednesday at 10:30a) only to be informed that Jessica is not working today! This particular customer was very upset that she wasn't contacted about Jessica not being there and wasn't interested in someone else servicing her. She left and they missed out on her business - this seems like something they may want to work on! In conclusion, while other yelpers are right in that it is probably best to make an appointment, maybe call to confirm your time before you go :) read more

Only giving it 2 stars because I've been here a handful of times and the experience has been decent when I'm in a pinch for a cheap mani/pedi. However, my visit yesterday was flat out unacceptable. I started with a gel pedicure and decided to get my nails done with the same color. She painted onto my cuticles, missed the sides of my nails, and left bumps. I brought it to the front desk's attention and he told me that happens sometimes and to come back next week and they'll fix it. Mind you, there was no one waiting and they were not full. Why on earth would I come back? Why would you not fix it now? How inconvenient. Terrible service and terrible work. I will never go back. read more

I decided to get a manicure/pedicure for my birthday. Being from Miami I'm use to paying $30 for both. I looked at locations around my area for reviews and prices didn't drop from $40 for both. I decided to just go for it and stopped in at Mai-Le Nails on Greenville. I didn't have an appointment, I just walked right in and was greeted on the spot. The place is nice inside. Very comfortable chairs and peaceful music plays in the back round. It was a little different then what I am use to. One person does your hands while the other does your feet, I'm use to having one person for both. I was very undecided on the color of polish I wanted, since I had my mind set in Essie "come here" from their new spring collection and they didn't have it. I sat on the chair and immediately a lady by the name of I believe was Mai, began with my hands. She greeted me and went on with her artistic work on my hands. I still don't know what color I want and Alec, who will be working on my feet, went to the colors, painted for of his finger nails and came back and said " which do you like best?" I was impressed. He went out of his way to make sure that I was happy since he knew the color I desired they didn't have in stock. I picked an OPI color, which I never wear OPI, and he said "great." He was excellent with my feet. For $40 I got hand massage with lotion and a hot stone foot massage. I was blown away. I will definitely be going back to see Alec. read more

This is by far my favorite place to have my nails pampered. I've been getting acrylic fills for the past couple of months and Alec is my go-to guy for my nails. He does such an amazing job. An average pedicure. I had a very young girl and I always think when I go to new nail salons I end up getting young girls. I go because I get ingrown toenails and so I prefer someone more experienced. I should have known to go in and ask for someone that had good reviews. Anyways she did well for a basic pedicure her massage was good but would occasionally gauge me with her nails. I don't think she realized she was doing it.
