I am giving this place five stars because it deserves it. I am from California and I needed to get the gel removed from my acrylic nails because it was peeling off and looked a mess. Sunny greeted me, offered me a margarita and did his thIng on my nails. Not only did he change the color he made sure my nails were perfectly shaped, buffed and had no rigid edges. I absolutely hate rigid edges. I babe kids and I can't tell you how many times I've scratched a driving stabbed then with my nails. I don't reside out here and only come twice a year but this is definitely my go to shop while I am here and Sunny is definitely my go to person. The shop is super clean and super cute. I've been here twice and liked my nails the first time. I went more than a few weeks without a much needed gel manicure and pedicure. The person doing my nails wasn't the best and I recommend making an appointment with one of the better techs. It took a LONG time, which would've been appreciated if everything was more relaxing. The massage hurt a bit and the technician working on my feet wouldn't adjust the towel when it slipped off the the place my feet were. Overall, I didn't feel relaxed and pampered. I understand it is important to be very detailed with gel manicures, but the technician kept wiping polish off from the edges of every nail...EVERY nail. I love getting gel manicures but not when someone's dirty looking thumbnail keeps getting jammed under my nails. It felt uncomfortable and once hurt, I told her that I didn't like it, but she kept doing it. I felt badly because I was afraid of seeming rude, but it was so uncomfortable. Then at the end she almost let me walk out with a crooked nail without filing it down. I don't mind price when it comes to nails, I grew up going to cheap salons and truly appreciate the luxury of quality nail care. However, this experience was not worth what I paid and I won't be back. Edit: And I just noticed how much gel polish is on my hand. I have the highest regards for all the nail technicians that work at LV Nails and Spa. In my personal experience, Vy and TC are amazing nail technicians that have given me the most amazing manicures and pedicures I have ever had. I've visited twice now, and although I don't live in Dallas, they've made a lifelong customer of me. I visited LV Nails after seeing all the positive reviews on Yelp, and I certainly wasn't disappointed. My first dip manicure lasted a month, and my second has lasted over two weeks now. Since all gel, dips, etc. always fall off of my nails after a week or so, I thought the first visit was a fluke. But after visiting again, it's clear that this is the standard that LV Nails holds themselves to in serving their customers. This is my #1 go-to place for manicures, specifically gel manicures. I've tried several nail salons around Dallas, from neighborhood salons to expensive spas in search of a good gel mani, and none came remotely close to LV Nails. I walked in without an appointment on my first visit (no appt., no problem) and ended up with Fifi. She did such an incredible job that I didn't want to take any chances for my 2nd visit, so I requested her specifically. Fifi did not disappoint! Her skill and precision are amazing, and she's very kind and considerate, making sure I was happy with everything several times throughout the process. The salon isn't one of those huge glitzy joints with bells and whistles like a bar/bartender or rows of flatscreen TVs, but that's fine with me. I came into this nail salon hoping to finally find a decent nail salon with my sister. There was only 2 of them here & it was completely dead not one customer in there. I showed her a photo which I will attach here and my nails are nothing compared to it. She also kept questioning my length and laughed when I asked for 2 different colors and she cut my index finger trying to shape them or whatever she thinks she calls it I left shaking and so upset I cannot believe she was proud of this work enough to let me walk out like this. This review pains me. I've gone to this place for the last 2.5 years and had amazing service. This last visit was terrible. The sisters who use to own and run the salon are no longer doing so but the staff is going to lie and tell you they're out of town. The salon employees have started trying to upsell (if you're there for a mani-pedi they're going to ask about waxing services etc). My pedi was fine (Not good, just fine. Penalty points for making my toes bleed at the cuticle), my mani (a dip) was not. I told the woman my nails looked sloppy when she was done. I had hangnails (thanks to the tech repeatedly hitting me with the drill and making me bleed at the cuticle) and nail polish around all my fingers. The manager had someone I've used before, Jessica (I think the last of the staff) fix them and when I left they looked worlds better; but you can tell from the pic that it's no $50 dip (Oh and surprise! Prices went up). I will not be going back. It took 3 hrs and both hands and feet were done at the same time. I left frustrated and annoyed. Time to find a new place. (Jessica is your best option but she tends to make dips too thin and they crack around week 2) read more

Awesome service! Very happy with my manicure and pedicure. Clean place, and Victor was great! Great polish selection, comfortable seats, and very long, detailed pedicure that came with a massage and foot scrub for $30 (the most inexpensive one). Everyone is so nice and makes sure to greet you with a smile as soon as you walk in, which doesn't happen often at other places. I have been going here for almost 3 years. I went in last week to get my nails done for the wedding. I had previously booked the appointment 3 months in advance with specific technicians for my services. I was told they were on vacation when I arrived. I was not informed of the increase in prices Before my services. Needless to say I had sticker shock. $182.00. They did not do a very good job on the French dip. For people saying they are expensive... it's $35 for a gel manicure.. what are you used to paying?? It's totally reasonable and worth it!! Came here, first time, 30 minutes before they close. Acrylic tips lasted longer than I've ever had and they were actually able to make the length and shape look natural, which is rare at most salons. Yesterday was my third time here. First two were uneventful and decent pedicures. Yesterday was my first mani pedi. Mani was a disaster. Shoved my cuticles so hard it hurt and then trimmed them so close that my pinky nail was still bleeding when I left. Other nails are red and inflamed. Won't go back. My pedicure was rushed (and my massage was a joke, she just pushed her hand up and down my leg; absolute waste of $35) and the entire time I was in here they all only talking to each other (yes in their native language- I could care less but it's obnoxious when they are VERY obviously berating their customers... to the point that one would say something and the rest would look at that person). No one wanted to do their job it seems. One poor woman called and asked for a French tip and when she came in they had literally no clue how to do this and then they tried telling her she didn't know what she was talking about!
