MOD Pizza is another in the ever-growing number of Pieology "fast pizza" clones. The general concept is familiar: step up and order a pizza (either one of their standard configurations, or you can go off the menu and top it any way you like) and the price is fixed. MOD's owners seem to have a complete lack of creativity, because they copy Pieology right down to the last detail... including offering round chocolate dessert cakes which MOD calls "no name" cakes (but they rhyme with Sing Songs). This is a new location, and the building has been impressively renovated. The staff is cheerful and eager to greet you as you walk in the door. I can't fault their customer service training, that's for sure. What I can fault is their cooking skills. Thin crust pizzas are easy to overcook, and that's what happened here. My nearly-burnt crust was very crisp and not chewy at all. Maybe this is just because they are new and I was visiting them during their soft opening? Either way, I hope they can correct this in the near future. Don't get me wrong--this is not a horrible place to eat. Far from it, in fact. If you've never tried the "fast pizza" concept then it's worth a visit. If you like it, the segment leader (Blaze Pizza) is only a couple more exits north on I-15. read more

I came back only to find that to save money they decide to keep the whole place freezing cold, which meant the cool hangout place they are trying to create was quickly vacated by us after we had some food. Now being the second time the pizza is still just eh. If push comes to shove I wouldn't be opposed to going back, but I would probably rather go to another trendy thin crusted pizza joint. I've really tried to like these guys, but every single time I've gone their lines are almost nonexistent and it still takes forever. We first ate MOD pizza when we traveled to another state, but had it in Park City after a football game with our kids. They were sold on it too quickly! I'm glad we have one much closer now. You can choose whatever pizza sounds good on the menu, then add any other toppings you'd like at no extra charge. This place is great for personalized pizzas. They have a big variety of pizzas to pick from and if you want to create your own you are more than welcome to do so as well. The staff was very friendly and the environment is pretty laid back. My only issue was that my pizza wasn't as cooked as I'd like it to be, other than that it was really good. read more

MOD Pizza is like a Pieology but not as good and here is why. They only offer thin crust so me being a thick crust lover can't get that here. Thin crust only and I just don't love it. The veggie choices are smaller then Pieology options so your not getting as good of a variety with that. MOD is skimpy with their toppings. I ask for pepperoni they give me 5 pepperoni for the whole pizza. So final conclusion of my pizza is ehhh thin crust that in some spots over cooked because little burnt spots and lacking toppings. The costumer service is a five though! Greeted and super friendly and extremely helpful. Atmosphere awesome!! Love the whole remodel and the whole feel. Good Rootbeer and lemonades. This is one of my favorite lunch places! Me and my girl friends come here all of the time. She is GF and I was vegan for awhile, and they seriously cater to anyone and all diet types. They have so many good toppings to choose from and the atmosphere is so fun. Super family friendly and very decently priced. I frequent this MOD location often and I have always been very impressed by their customer service. I usually call ahead and order through their call service. I'm then able to use their drive thru which is very convenient when I have my kids in the car. My food is almost always ready when they say it will be and my order gas never been wrong. If for whatever reason I have to wait they are always apologetic and usually offer me a free dessert cake. My food always tastes the same, which is always good! We love Mod Pizza. We come to this location in American Fork very often. The pizza is great. We've never had bad service and have never had to wait long for our order. However, the last two times that we have been to Mod, we have had an unfortunate unpleasant experience. Although I absolutely love that Mod employs handicapped people. I have so much respect for that but the two Down syndrome young men there, making boxes and filling up the cups and lids area are making it a bit too unpleasant. Watching them today, making boxes and spitting at each other, (definitely spitting over the box making) making very loud fart noises and making sounds like they are throwing up is too much! We sat in the area just west of the pizza oven and it was so unpleasant we finally had to leave. I understand helping people but when their actions are pushing your customers out, something should be done to rectify this problem. I've worked with handicapped people in many areas and these things can be calmed down but they are allowed to continue. I hate to give a 2 star rating here, as I have been a patron of this Mod for a few years and love the food, convenience, and system there. However, recently I had an experience that makes me question if I'll ever go back. The person helping my wife and I was throwing off some significant attitude when we entered the store (it was clear to me she was in a bad mood and not worried about letting everyone around her know that). I assume she was a manager as she was also intermittently bossing around other employees while making our order. In addition to rushing us, every time we asked for a topping to be added to our pizza there was some attitude like it was a chore, which as a customer certainly doesn't feel very good. At one point my wife asked for sardines on the pizza because she likes them and they are on the menu. The employee said they don't have any and she'll have to go get some in the back room - she came out with the can and started placing the anchovies on the pizza directly from the can. At one point she stopped helping us and went to the back to direct other employees to do something, seemingly annoyed, and she took off and threw away her plastic gloves and when she came back and realized she needed to put new gloves on she threw her hands up in frustration. It was a terrible experience and what she didn't know is that my wife and I had a hard week and we were looking forward all morning to go and have a pizza at our favorite place as a reward to ourselves to start the weekend off on a good foot. When paying, she made a comment that she was sorry but she just didn't like sardines and I couldn't refrain from saying I was sure she was having a bad day but she didn't need to make that her problems her customers and her attitude made it seem like a real chore to do her job to paying customers. She did apologize but followed it up with an excuse that she had a lot on her mind, which was a very big turn-off as a statement since both my wife and I have worked in the service industry and been managers and that's not an acceptable service position. I really hope the ownership takes this post seriously and talks with this individual, not to get them in trouble but so they stop and think about the ramifications of their behavior and action in a service business and perhaps consider an Instore training program to increase the service environment, because again, the food is great, the restaurant is clean, and it's an otherwise great establishment but none of that matters when you feel disrespected, see toxic behavior amongst the staff interactions, and get a terrible service experience - customers always have other options. I was steaming mad but my pizza was ice cold. After ordering online and waiting the appropriate amount of time I went to the pick up window and they said that my pizza wasn't done and that they were so busy it'll be a few minutes. Could please pull around to the front and they would bring my order out to me. Well I waited another half an hour no pizza came out I finally went inside the place with chaos. I guess when you hire 18 to 20-year-old boys what you get is chaos. After standing there for a good 10 minutes I finally got someone's attention and said can you please help me with my order. He fumbled around for a few minutes then found my order back by the drive-in pick up window where I had been 40 minutes before. Needless to say, my pizza was ice cold my salad was warm my family was unhappy. But beyond that not one of the orders was correct none of the pizzas had the proper ingredients on them and the salad was missing ingredients as well. Absolutely love this place. I don't care for pizza but this place is awesome especially since I get to make what I want. I get the 6 " sometimes with cauliflower crust (delicious) or the regular flat crust. Also with olive oil mozzarella sliced tomatoes Greek olives and the fig dressing. Fast service and great atmosphere, but Pizzeria Limone, which is a few blocks away, has hands down better pizza and higher quality ingredients for the same price, quick service, and atmosphere. Extra star for the yummy lemonade and No Name cake, which is like a homemade Ding Dong; moist, fudgy cake covered in rich chocolate ganache with a cream center. Perfect place for a family. Everyone gets their own pizza the exact way they want it at a very affordable price. Thin crust, thick crust, you chose. Unlimited toppings at no extra charge. The garlic slices are to die for, not too thick like at other pizza places and they actually smash fresh garlic into the dough as you watch. You also have your choice of dip. You can start with one of their specialties and add to it or take it like it is. Or you can start from scratch. They have gluten free pizza as well, catering to those with that special need. They also have cinnamon slices ( dessert )with your choice of dip. They also have a variety of salads that work the same way as the pizza orders. My husband and I went there on a Saturday and enjoyed it sooo much we brought our whole extended family back on Sunday for lunch. We all highly recommend it to everyone. We can't say enough about how much we love the place! Oh and I call it the Jimmy Johns of pizzas because you order, pay and find a place to sit just about the time that they call your name to tell you it's ready! read more

Always crunchy and fresh, the workers have been friendly and engaged (which can't be said of other fast pizza joints around here), and the atmosphere is casual and cozy. Food is always so great here, but their service is so incredibly slow. Each time I have gone, they have at least 6 employees working but it takes 2-3 minutes before an employee acknowledges you. Each time I come in their are prioritizing filling toppings, preparing dough, folding boxes, etc. There hasn't been one time where I have been greeted by an employee- as I have had to say "can I have you take my order?" Each time as they are clearing ignoring their guests + prioritizing other tasks. What lead to my 2 star review tonight was due to my experience in the drive thru. We waited in the drive thru for several minutes without a greeting. We finally said something and they said "hey we are backed up- would you mind coming in to place your order?" Appreciating their transparency, we reversed and went inside and I was the only guest in the store. Unsure what leads to such slow service EVERY time, but do think it would be beneficial for management to re-evaluate their labor optimization and expectations with their staff. read more
