We came in hot & hungry. It was 85' today. We had a very patient person put together our meal. (We haven't been in for probably 5 years and had forgotten the ordering process.) All went well until we were paying & discussing drinks. We wanted large cups to drink water but were told we could only put water into the small cups (see image). We were told we could bring in our own water bottle to fill, use the small cups they had, or we could buy a larger cup for $3.95. Having it been a super hot day, we were hoping for the larger cups. We stopped here on our way to drop off our grandson. The parking lot in front of the store was full, but you can park nearby for free. The inside of the store is very pop and has a fun atmosphere. Our 11 year old grandson chose Mad pizza and we created our own pizza. We go to various places for Mod pizza, but we usually choose the toppings we want to eat at that time. Service is trash, black lady is rude. I was quiet most of the time because i sensed the attitude with a different customer. I don't write reviews but I didn't appreciate when she started talking shit loudly about how we said we weren't gonna eat here but sat down to eat some of our salad while waiting on our pizza before we could leave. Walked in and I was surprised to see how wide and open the space is. There is alot of seating inside and outdoor is available as well. The restaurant is clean and the staff was quick to ask us what we wanted and if we wanted to add or change anything. I got the Caspian with white sauce and ricotta, it was so good. MOD is usually good in a middle average sort of way. Kinda like a slightly higher end fast food place. You know it's not the best, but you know you'll be satisfied. So this location is great because not only is the staff friendly, but they remember you if you come often. What a wait! Slow slow slow and the staff does not seemed bothered by it one bit. I can understand struggling to get good help during covid times and that this is a brand new store but whoever the franchisee is here better wake up or they're gonna do very poorly with this venture. Kitchen is not clean, they're serving pizza and helping people out of order. They're leaving people's pizza sitting on the counter forever and helping take out orders first... where is the management? Went at 11:45am Saturday to get pizza to go. I've been here before with no issues really but this time was terrible. When we arrived there were only 4 people sitting at a table. My friend & I got to the counter, & their were 3 people working, 1 cooking pizza & 2 making pizza. It was not busy but we stood for 6min before being helped (they weren't doing anything). When the 1 gal finally started our pizza, she did put on disposable gloves, but after putting sauce on our pizzas, she went over to help a deaf couple, touched their phone screen(how they communicated) , had to get her phone out to give them the bathroom combination, put her phone back in her pocket & was about to touch our pizzas again until I asked her to put on new clean gloves. She did but with an attitude. Then the person cooking the pizza, went over to do whatever at the drinks area, no gloves, came back & put the pizzas in the to go boxes, still no gloves, and had an open cut on her finger... no bandage/ no gloves. I did see her touch other cooked pizzas but not sure she actually touched ours, but this was all VERY unsanitary... nevermind the covid cleaning issues. Not sure I'll be going here again until they hire more people (saw help wanted sign) hoping they'll get sanitary workers who care about being safe/ clean for the customer's sake. Maybe trained (again? ) in food safety handling. read more
