MOD Pizza staff is always friendly and seem to care about their customers. The ingredients are always fresh and delicious. The restaurant is very simply but enough in every aspect. Since the first time I've had MOD I've been hooked. No matter the location Ive always had a good experience. This Two Notch location is no different. Always clean the decor is nice and the service is always fast and friendly. You can't really beat a place that has unlimited topping option like Marble Slab or Subway. The ingredients are always fresh the pizza is light crispy and durable enough to hold the mountain of toppings I pile on it. My friends call me Stackhouse now since I've visited MOD. Also they have good lemonade too! This is definitely my go too. If you're close to a MOD and have $7 to spare for lunch, do yourself a favor! I haven't tried the salad or any desserts yet. They also have adult beverage options as well for those of us who need to take a load off after work. read more

First time at MOD pizza and I'm glad my wife chose this place. Similar to blaze but they had a lot more options that was to our liking. I had a pizza with red sauce & pesto w/ chicken, garlic, artichokes & bacon finished with a pesto drizzle. If you go to MOD pizza I suggest you give this a try because it was really good. Next time I'll try the thicker crust with the same or a similar combo and see how it like it but I will for sure be going back to MOD pizza anytime I want a nice personal pie to myself. They have drizzles like balsamic fig which is really good depending on the toppings you get. I'm not sure if they will add to their menu like blaze did with dough knots and cheesy bread but i hope they do add cheesy bread and possible allow toppings and drizzles because MOD pizza is already a place I will continue to go but adding those things will have this place climbing up my favorite pizza spots. I've eaten here multiple times, and had my first mistake on a internet order by making a mod a mini, and the gentleman behind the counter immediately took care of it no questions asked. I absolutely hate when a order gets messed up and having to go back and arguing on whether they did mess up or not but from the experience on this one i was grateful for the responsiveness of the employees! My boyfriend opted for a simple pepperoni and light chicken pizza--I am eating the pizza with the ham , pepperoni , spicy sausage, bacon bits ,feta cheese , mozzarella (shredded as well) ricotta cheese , and bleu cheese lightly sprinkled on top with diced tomatoes . It turned out to be really delicious and packed with fresh flavor . Not the best pizza but still very good. I love Pizza Hut's crust so it's a bit difficult to compare Mod's crust. The crust is the only thing I would improve upon though. The amount of topping ingredients you can choose from gives you a huge variety to sample. I love the BBQ sauce with meats and mushroom! Great prices and good food. You do have to eat it fresh though as the crust can get really soggy. read more

This place has quick service, delicious food, and a cozy metropolitan atmosphere. The price is determined by the size of the dough, so anything goes when it comes to meats, cheeses, and toppings. I was helped within a couple of minutes at noon on a weekday. After finishing the order, my pizza took approximately 6-8 minutes to cook. The pricing ($5, $9, or $11, depending on the size) is superb for the quality of the food. The service was phenomenal; each staff member smiled and seemed attentive to the needs of customers. Up front, I will be a regular. Two Notch Road, really, Elgin in general, doesn't have a lot going for it restaurant wise. Sure, Mod Pizza is a chain. There is no where else in Elgin/Pontiac/East Columbia that is gonna give you anything close to "Fig Balsamic Drizzle." You can't get good Thai here. You can't get good sushi unless you schlepp all the way over to Wasabi and then pay a lot and then wait a long time. It's either Henry's (which has off days), Pontiac House of Pizza (again? omg nooo), at least now there's one more thing. And given it's a chain--I don't expect them to have many off days. Also: they actually have enough ingredients where I can mix up what I order and not get bored. Pro Tip: I don't even like milkshakes and they are scary good. Best part is that it is all the same price and cooked in a brick oven. They also offer a small selection of beers and even a military discount. Good pizza, however, when I came here with my husband for what we thought would be a reasonably priced dinner, we quickly found out that wasn't the case. We got 4 Catawba White Zombie beers, but they charged us for 4 white wines. Simple mistake, right? I went back to the counter to ask the price of their beers and they said $2. When I showed them that they charged us $7.97 a can, their manager said that the Catawba is wine price. When a 6-pack of White Zombie costs $9.50, does Catawba know how much profit MOD Pizza is making from their beer. Definitely wouldn't be back for a relaxing dinner out, for that price, I'd go somewhere nicer. read more

Went in to order pizza, asked individual to fix his mask. He ignored me. I asked him not to cook my pizza unless he corrected his mask. He came over to the cash register, flipped me the bird and mouthed f..k you. Called the manager, he did NOT have the individual correct the mask or take any action. He also commented that he didn't believe that the employee did what I said he did. I felt the manager was incapable of managing his staff. We LOVE MOD pizza. Two of my favorite food items: pizza and shakes... and they have them both! Sounds like a lot? It kinda is, but doesn't stop me from going there.
