I love the ambiance of This restaurant. They had students, families and couples all having a good time and getting great service. We arrived early on a Friday night and thank goodness we did because it got busy really quick. The parking area was very small, not sure if there is additional parking elsewhere. Being lent season we could only order veggies and cheese pizza and although it was good it needed the pepperoni!!! We also had fish and chips which was crispy and well seasoned. It's been a lonngggg day but the wife wanted to eat so here we are .. we line in a college town so we stop in Thirsty Fellow.... I can imagine on a game night this would be the spot to go with the open floor plan. We started with fried pickles and I ordered the Philly cheesesteak add lettuce. If you want Mayo it comes on the air just a heads up. The fried pickles well well well we might have hit the jackpot .. they were fresh out the grease .. not that nasty cornmeal either . And the ranch dipping sauce is good also I dog think it homemade but nonetheless good. As in the past the appetizer got me excited and was disappointed by the entree ... my Philly was suppose to coke all the way with the mayo on the side ... the peppers and onions were left off. Then I wasn't too pressed but the Philly had yellow cheese so if you're a cheesesteak fan this may not be the item to order. The waitress brought me a side of peppers and onions and I tried to make it work but it was a no go. Once I finally finished making my Philly ... I took a bite and the steak was burnt ... the waitress was nice to take it off and I asked her to charge me for just the fries which I BODIED LOL ...They have the malt vinegar on the table so I dressed the fries up. Not the best experience at all. Especially on a slow night I get mistakes happen but sheesh. Maybe I'm just to cheesesteaks being made with care and I didn't get that here. Our ROMEO group had nine for lunch. Had 4 orders for the tacos, an order of the Tuesday Special Pizza with side Caesar salad, Hamburger order, and a Cheese steak with house raw fries (chips). The guys liked the tacos...looked a bit dry to me but they said the meat was well flavored and liked them. The burger was very good, nice sized. The Philly Steak was good and the fries looked very good...nice and crisp and not overdone. The Pizza was excellent. Great tasting cheese and sauce. Pepperoni was good and the crust was just right. One person said he'd order that next time he came. Wait staff was good and prompt. As always, it's been a favorite of the group. My only complaint was the Pizza special comes if for a small pizza and 2 salads (meant for splitting with two people). Since one person ordered it they brought out a large Caesar salad instead of two small salads. The large salad was really two romaine lettuces (not cut at all, but almost like a wedge salad) with Caesar dressing and some shaved parmesan cheese on the top along with some croutons. Would've been much better if they'd chopped up the romaine and then put the dressing/cheese on and mixed it all up. Either that or instead of a large salad give a small salad and one other side. I chose the gorgonzola chips as an app and then got the grilled cheese and sweet potato fries for dinner. The gorgonzola chips were a max level of pungent cheesy goodness, and I was delighted with them! The grilled cheese, however, came out lukewarm with barely and melt in the cheese. Also, the bread was lackluster. Given that it was the only choice, I would hope for a more robust and crusty bread. The sweet potato fries were good, though they were also not very hot and I did need to salt them a bit. Throughout our meal, our server checked in on us and was extremely friendly to our group. I was really glad were were in the booth, since the high tops didn't look very comfy. Overall, this spot did the trick in terms of giving my group a meal during a busy holiday weekend. Thirsty Fellow was pretty good! I'd say the two best things about Thirsty Fellow were definitely the atmosphere, and its proximity to Colonial Life Arena. It's a really convenient place to walk to after a game or event at CLA, and I loved how dimly-lit and relaxed it was, while still maintaining an old-school cool type of feel. As for the food, I'd say that it was "good." My pepperoni pizza and fries were above average, yet nothing particularly special. All-in-all, I would definitely recommend Thirsty Fellow, and I'll definitely be back in the future, probably during football season or after another event at Colonial Life! read more

This establishment is known for their pizza. So we ordered the pizza. The pizza is fine. El Presidente would most likely give it a 6.9. If he doesn't I will. The pizza is fine not great. Situated nearby USC & you can tell this is a favorite spot to USC & Columbia. Plenty of seating indoor & outside. But let's talk about the food. I got a pizza. This ranks as one of the best pizzas I've had in my life! The crust was oh so good & "doughy" & the toppings were excellent. My friend had an Italian sandwich & was very pleased. I love this place. The night we came was a few months ago so this is an old yet goodie and relevant review. It was a "farewell" dinner for me since I was moving to a new city and we came on the right night! We had free bourbon courtesy of Wild Turkey considering they were the vendors and had extra to showcase that evening (Saturday night) and it was a couple of games on so it wasn't bad. We were seated outside considering October with a jacket or sweater on in early October is totally doable. I had the wings with mozzarella pizza and various peppers since we chose only two toppings. The peppers were spicy but that's how we like them. I also had a green salad with chicken and some fries. My godmother had the fried goat cheese roll as she always does with a side salad. This place is her go to. We also all had shots of tequila as a form of celebration. Parking is iffy sometimes and that's because the lot is small and fills quickly, however, there's off street parking with meters. This place is cool bar type spot; though it's right on the backside of USC's campus, it's still a spot to have dinner with friends, knock back some brews and shots, and enjoy good food without feeling like you're at a college party or bar. This was my favorite place to go until today. It was a gorgeous day and was looking forward to eating on the patio. When we were seated we smelled trash. The waiter said it was trash by the patio. It was so unappetizing. The waiter seated us inside. We had the mixed green salad which was good, but the firecracker dill pickles appeared to be fried in old oil, as well as the Firecracker shrimp. I saw this place on yelp, and decided to try it out because it's close to my house. There wasn't an option to order online, which seemed strange to me so I called to place an order. An employee picked up immediately and took my order fast and said it'd be ready in 25 minutes! The employee was super nice and friendly. I arrived exactly 25 minutes after I called and my food was ready and they gave it to me super quick! I am such a sucker for great customer service. I ordered the spinach dip, the house made chips, and a small pizza. The spinach dip was soooo yummy! It has a hint of lemon juice which I enjoyed. The chips were okay, not very seasoned and don't come with a sauce. I don't think I'd order again. The pizza was $10.50 and it is sooooo big for a small size! I would definitely order it again.
