This was my first time trying Dano's Pizza. We ordered a pepperoni and mushroom pizza plus the garlic knots and took everything to go. I appreciated that they have a designated pickup area with some seating, which made waiting and pickup super easy. The pizza was solid and a good size to split between two to three people. The real highlight was the garlic knots. At first, they looked smaller than expected, which had me a little skeptical, but one bite completely changed my mind. Pretty good pizza. Nice thin crust. We asked for extra crispy, it was not, so we had to send it back for some more cooking. Sadly they use sliced sausage rather than ground, which we prefer. The server kept drinks full and asked about food quality. Nothing seemed worthy of a photo. We ordered noodles with butter for the kids. It took some stirring to get the butter to melt. The calamari could use a makeover. The breadind seemed out of place. The sauce was horseradish based, and kids would not eat it. Garlic knots were big and doughy. They would have been better if they were smaller. We did not expect them to be deep-fried. I ordered a calzone. I had to ask for more sauce to get it down. They need to spice up the sauce. It's been about 3 hours since I left Dano's and I'm still full. The pizza slices are so big and yummylicious. I saw a group of 6 order a large pizza while I was there. My family could never do that because we all want something a little different. I love that Dano's has served pizza by the slice for 20 years. I had the gourmet pizza slice, this time it was a bbq pizza sauce with ham, pineapple, and jalapeños. OMG it was so good. Hot, sweet, saucy, and tasty all at the same time. Oh. There is a picture for you to see what I'm talking about, but the slice is bigger than the paper plate they serve it on. I don't know when they started using paper plates, but that's the way they've done it for at least the last 10 years. It is kind of like you are at a friends house having a slice. Just go with it. I have celiac disease and they offer a GF pizza there. The waitress took plenty of time to explain to me their protocol, how it's baked on its own pans and prepped in a separate area.
