I am so happy to have found MOD pizza in Evansville. I am from Indianapolis where we had one for several years near the fashion mall. Unfortunately they closed their doors about a year ago, so I was left without my favorite pizza joint. I found this location in Evansville when I was traveling with my kids to TN. I'm sooo glad we stopped. The staff was great, Kayla was our pizza artist for this meal, and the ingredients were awesome and just how I remember them. Kayla put together our pizzas and had them out to us in no time. She was super friendly and patient with my kids, and made the experience worth stopping for. To say I am impressed with this place is an understatement. From the moment I walked in, we were greeted kindly and warmly. The first employee behind the counter greeted me, asked if I had ever been there before, and enthusiastically shared how the place works. Each and every employee was kind, courteous, engaging and amazing. I ordered a gluten free crust (only comes in 11 inch) and added my own ingredients. Oh my goodness. So so good. The crust was perfectly baked and the ingredients were PILED on. I didn't order it but they even had DAIRY FREE cheese! They also don't charge you per ingredient but instead, just by the size of your pizza crust. I had 7 or 8 ingredients for an incredible price! Excellent job to the team. I love MOD pizza, it is my favorite place for this style of pizza where you pick the toppings out and they assemble your personal pizza in front of you. I love the specialty pizzas they offer as those change out, and there are tons of options for toppings. Sometimes the line can take a while, but I have always thought it was worth the wait. First experience at a MOD Pizza, although I've spotted them in my hometown of Louisville, KY. This location was close to the Drury Inn and I stopped by for a quick lunch with my co-worker. Timing is everything with this spot .. if there's a long line, it'll likely double the time spent to get your lunch. Pizzas are made fresh, as each person orders. You can choose from their specialities or pick your own toppings. The number of toppings doesn't affect the price. At MOD they offer a mini pizza (6") or regular (11"). There's only a $2 difference so get the bigger one and take home left overs. They have plenty of meat and veggies to pick from, plus a variety of cheeses. The menu also includes salads, cheese bread, cinnamon sticks and dips, milkshakes and thick crust options. I picked an 11" pizza and added my own toppings. Overall the pizza was cooked very well, but it is not overly cheesy so if this is a favorite topping for you, ask for extra cheese in the line. I also added oregano which is a normal topping that I request on my pizza and sub sandwiches, but their seasoning is very strong. It gave my pizza a strange taste that I can only describe as being similar to the taste of beer. It overtook my other toppings and I didn't enjoy my pizza as much. While quick and accurate, the service lacked customer interaction and certainly a level of friendliness I would expect from a team that is face-to-face with the customer. When an employee did speak it was primarily to one another while the customer stood silently waiting to catch their attention. This store has seating inside and outside for parties of different sizes. Small take-home boxes are also available near the drinks and utensils. read more

I visited the Mod Pizza in Evansville on their soft opening. They had an awesome promotion going on where their pizzas were half off! Even without their promotion, Mod is fairly affordable. For around $8 you can get an 11 inch pizza with as many toppings as you like, and the price doesn't change! The line was wrapped around to the door, which was expected. However, the line moves pretty quickly. There was plenty of staff and everyone was super friendly. I got the white sauce, with chicken and several different veggies. It was amazing!! I also tried their fresh lemonade which was also delicious. My friend got a half "Caspian" which was a bbq chicken, and then built her own on the other half. She also really enjoyed hers. I have driven by MOD Pizza a few times thinking "that sounds really good; I should get that sometime". After finally stopping in to check it out, I regret that it took me so long to do so....mainly because of all the times I missed out on such outstanding pizza and dining experience!! Immediately after walking in, we were greeted with a loud "Hello" by all of the workers. From there, we were given all the time we needed to examine the menu before choosing the perfect personal pizza. The friendly employees making the pizza were eager to create the perfect one for each customer. From there, it is handed back to the employee working the brick oven. I chose the 11" Caspian (mozzarella, gorgonzola, bbq chicken, barbecue sauce, sliced red onions). I didn't change the suggested ingredients, but I loved having the choice to do so. You have the choice to change anything on the pizza you choose or build your own with as many toppings as you want for the same price. Not having to pay per topping is amazing!! My pizza was perfect, delicious, and just the right size! YUM! I highly recommend getting their fresh blackberry lemonade to pair with the pizza of your choice. I thought it sounded like it might be too sweet, but it was so refreshing and delicious! There are also personal to-go boxes available at the drink station in case you need to pack up your leftovers and take it with you. This fast-food pizza place really impressed me! I got the Iggy-- cheese, jalapeño, cilantro, sliced sausage, and a sriracha ranch drizzle. The crust is thin, crispy, and chewy, baked in a wood-fired oven. I also got the Greek salad. I thought that I would have leftovers. I did not. LOVE Mod! The quality of ingredients never disappoints. The staff is always friendly and helpful (even though one employee refused to "salt bae" ingredients on a pizza once! Was in Evansville for the week with the family during the Coronavirus situation. Had to get take out and MOD pizza was fantastic, myself, wife and kids enjoyed it so much we went back on our last night to get another takeout, unfortunately all 3 pizza bases were slightly burnt meaning that my young kids wouldn't eat them. I eat here about once a week. It's really great but the only reason I didn't give it 5 stars is the service can be spotty and they can sometimes be slower cleaning up tables for new use. Good quick pizza and salads, made to order with fresh ingredients. Sometimes the line can get rather long but it moves quick, you can choose to make your own pizza or from the pre-made recipes. My main gripe was the service here, it's usually not bad but one of the line workers got into it with me. She brought out a metal pan they use to cook salad ingredients on and it was covered in burnt residue, I asked if I could have another pan, she proceed to argue that was the only pan they could do it in. So I asked if I could hold the pan after she insisted it's not food and proceeded to chip off some of the residue which was burnt on food, what a surprise. The manager than rushed over and apologized, grabbed a new pan and proceeded to make my order. Only other complaint is that when people open the door in the winter or summer, a huge gust of wind flies in. Overall a good experience but just had to share my funny story.
