Pretty unique Pizza place, don't be fooled by their name. They also make custom salads (I missed the word tasty). Tasty custom salads ;) You essentially walk in, and a line forms like chipotle, from there you start your order whether it be a custom pizza or custom salad. Been here more than once and having trying both their salads, and pizza I'm thrilled! The pizza crust is thin, so you really get to enjoy the toppings flavors; the pizza is cooked in fire (artisan style) As for drinks, they have bottled drinks (from Mexico) such as Coca Cola in the glass bottles, or fountain drinks or a variety of teas. The unsweetened black tea is my favorite. Staffs amazing, creates conversation and will do anything to ensure the ingredients are fresh! Pizza is good. Sometimes they burn the bottom of the crust. Understandable I guess. But the salad? Umm.. no. The mini salad is LITERALLY mini. They don't fill the container up all the way. For the price you pay, better off getting a salad from a fast food chain restaurant. Disappointing to say the least. read more

Amazing team at this location. Always friendly and really went out of their way to find me after I left my card in the slot. I was shocked at how much of an effort they made, thanks to their manager Cherie. When I went back a week later they had it in a safe spot and I was able to get it. Thanks again! This is place was good, clean and the staff was friendly. My husband got the spicy pizza (one of the numbers) and he enjoyed it. I made my own with pepperoni, bell peppers, and mushrooms. Simple. I don't ever leave reviews, but felt the need to shoutout I believe Jess (?, sorry if wrong!) She seemed like a manager to me. I had an online order and was running late from a Drs appointment that caused me to be almost 30 minutes late picking up my order. I called in and asked if my food would possibly be cold, and she said yes, but offered to make me a new one! Once I arrived, she ended up giving me the cold pizza as well and suggested I put it in the oven to reheat it for later! Little does she know that was my first time eating for the day (it was almost 3pm), and I had to get back on the road to sit in traffic going back to Moreno Valley. I was able to eat my new warm pizza on the road and will heat up the other for later. Great customer service especially during the holidays and these tough times! She could've just gave me my cold pizza, it wasn't her fault my appointment ran over making me late, but she went above and beyond. She's amazing! I'm giving 1 star because the guy at the register was so nice. I used to love Mod Pizza. Was really awesome pizza. But the last few times the pizza has been mediocre at best. I went last night and this time I ordered online...I usually like to be there to guide what I want on my pizza but I really needed something quick. I ordered pepperoni, bacon, extra cheese and extra mushrooms. Simple, right? I got barely any cheese on my pizza or any other toppings for that matter! Most of the pizza was crust and sauce. Wow... I was blown away!! And not from the Fontana winds... my MOD Pizza was exceptional. I have tried other build your own Pizza joints and this one surely takes the pie. Try the Vintage lemonade it's sweet and tart. STAFF... Great from the hello when we walked in the door. They played with us and made building our Pizza so much fun. Atmosphere... music was on point. I've been here twice already...once for the Grand Opening, and tonight. We were really excited to learn about a new place nearby, food choices around here can be somewhat limited. The concept is similar to another personalize-your-own pizza place, but I think this place is more lighthearted and not trying so hard to be edgy.....if you've gone to "the other guys" you'd know their style-ology is hipsters trying to make pizza. MOD is more fun, and friendlier, hands down. The scene- Industrial meets contemporary. Think metal barstools, wood finish tables, and lots of graphic pix on the walls. Orders can be created one of two ways, 100% custom, or signature items listed on their menu. We ordered the "Mad Dog" mini, a Calexico, and I created a custom Hawaiian - inspired type MOD. On opening day, we waited about 45 mins in line...no complaints here, it was the grand opening for Petes sake, you're hoping it's busy. Even with the madness of it all (pageant girls, a photo booth, Madam Mayor!), our food came out within a few mins of ordering. It was great. They have a good assortment of drinks available, and they are planning on having beer and wine in the future (fingers crossed for a rotating craft selection!) I suggest you give the Caramelized Pear Tea...it's very good. We also tried the Cinnamon Strips with Strawberry and Chocolate dip..a nice finish to a great meal. Tonight we placed the same pizza order, originally online for To-Go. We arrived, and since the crowd was lightening up, decided to dine - in instead. They were very nice about accommodating us. The time on my online order said it was going to be 25 mins, and at the 20 min mark, one of the gentlemen called my name and let me know it was going to be 5 more mins...which was right on time still, no worries. He actually offered a shake on them, which was very sweet. Good customer service as usual, and we couldn't resist letting my son take him up on his offer because we were already planning on getting him a shake. And yes, the pizza was just as good the second time arouns.This place has a great local vibe, and we wish them the best. Final notes- kudos to them for having recycling options that makes it easy to do our part. All flatware seems to be from recycled materials too! Great patio, and thank you for having seats on the barstools that are actually comfortable to sit on! To Mgmt- You're nearby 2 of the city's high-schools, don't be afraid to take advantage of the amazing marketing opportunities this will provide you. Also, you may want to start looking into adding wind-guards onto your patio...it's awesome that you have a patio, we love it, and want it to stay that way...but Fontana, Santa Anas....take a cue from Boston's and be proactive so you can fill those seats outside all year round! We accidentally came in here tonight. They actually don't officially open until tomorrow, but there was a soft opening tonight to train the staff. Despite it being a training day, service was excellent. The pizza is top notch!! We tried a Calexico Mega(double layer) and a Dylan James Mod, and finished it off with a Cinnamon strips with strawberry dip. The prices are on par with similar build your own pizza places. Excellent visit! Today my family and I visited this MOD pizza and we just had such a wonderful experience. The whole crew working seemed to have such a great attitude and no negativity. One worker named Jonathan was amazing! He was very kind polite and had fantastic customer service skills. When he wasn't busy working at the counter he was busy picking up trash and wiping off tables ( which I actually haven't seen anybody doing in quite a long time). My kids and me visited MOD on Wednesday for lunch. It was our first time there and we got the pizza to go. My kids are pizza fanatics, so it doesn't take much to please them. On the other hand, I'm kind of picky when it come to pizza. I didn't go too crazy with the toppings because usually at other pizza places like MOD, it's not cooked too well with lots of toppings. My kids got a MOD (11") to share and I got a Mega(2 layered pizza) for myself. My kids finished theirs and half of the Mega was enough for me. After we ate lunch at home my kids wanted to take my Wife as soon as we could. So Thursday night after my Sons baseball practice and the other game we decided to go for dinner. With all new spots opening, there's always going to be a crowd at dinner time. We didn't mind because my kids loved it and we understand the dinner rush. My Wife and I shared a Mega and packed on the toppings. The kids shard two MODs and the boys got shakes. Everything was better the second time. We have officially found our after baseball games spot for dinner. As we ate outside (because our kids can be a little loud) Jesus came to make sure we were doing okay. He talked to us for a minute and asked the boys about their baseball games. The customer service at MOD is awesome. The only recommendation I have would be to add Ricotta cheese to the menu. The other day, I went in and bought the 11 inch size of the Maddy, Mod, and the Dominic pizzas. Nothing added, just factory stock! I added a family size Caesar salad and my order was complete. Came in this past Friday afternoon and glad to see Chris again. He helped me out the last few visits. He already knew what I get (mod size with red sauce, mozzarella, pepperoni, bacon, mushrooms, mama sweet peppers, olives, roasted garlic, and parmesan. Very delicious!! So we went to our neighborhood MOD and had Frank help us out. Talk about kind, soft spoken generous employee! So was the mature woman with blonde hair (super kind) heck they all were! If you are looking for a great pizza with a low coast Mod pizza is the place to be. My husband and i went i was so surprised to hear you dont pay for a price for the toppings you pay for the size of the pizza and you can add any of the toppings you want as many as you want for the same low price. this is completely different compared to other pizza places because you have to pay for each topping, extra cheese....etc this restaurant was very clean and neat and smelled great I didn't go to the bathroom but I'll be sure to check that out next time.
