I was really looking forward to trying this place, but unfortunately it was a huge disappointment. We ordered the Banana Matcha and the Mango Sticky Rice Matcha, and both drinks were overwhelmingly sweet--so much so that neither of us could finish them. We ended up throwing away more than half of each drink. At $11.50 per drink, I expected much better quality and balance of flavors. We were looking for a Coffee adventure in Fontana and found this place. The place is very clean, greeted immediately when walking in the door. We got lucky and beat the lunch crowd. I called in my order for pizza and appetizers, when we arrived we ordered our drinks. Horchata Latte with Cold Foam 8/10 less sweet & a little more ice. Banana pudding Matcha 9/10 needed a little more ice. Mazapan Latte 10/10 perfect and I like less ice . My first time trying a Dirty Soda I ordered the Cherry Bomb and I was surprised how good it was. 2nd time here for a drink, thought I'd give it another try because my first impression of it was eh. But I was near by and was like what the hey let me give it another try. 1st time I came was about 4 months ago and I don't recall spending more than $9 for my drink. This time my banana matcha came out to $12.50 ($11.50 for the drink pulse $1 tax charge). This has to be the most expensive ridiculous price for a matcha that doesn't even taste like ceremonial grade on top of that. I should've walked out when I seen their menu prices, the drink was mid. Nothing special. All of these cafes are starting to taste exactly the same. And they wanna overcharge for their drink but fill the cups with ice and milk. Customer service was cool, The drinks on the other hand were very mid. I got the Banana Matcha and Blueberry Matcha. They were both kinda flavorless. The blueberry was very light and the banana had a strong artificial taste. Normally I would'nt be too picky over that but considering I was trying other matchas in town it kinda stood out in a bad way. Meat Lovers is a must try. I add mushrooms which takes it to another level. Their ingredients feel like they take time. For example large chains add uncooked mushrooms that come out dry and like paper. I'm 99% sure they cook them prior using as a topping. May be wrong but that pizza is well made. I wouldn't say I'm a pizza connoisseur, but I have tried most pizzas in the Rialto / Fontana area. I'll start with the bread. It's the regular crust, and it is delicious. It seems nowadays most pizza spots give you half an inch or more of bread. Unless you order thin crust. When you bite into the pizza, it's a perfect balance of cheese, pepperoni, and sauce. Not too thick, not too thin. Just right. The cheese is delicious. Not runny, nice color. The sauce is also very tasty. The only two spots in all of Fontana and Rialto are Portobello pizza in Fontana or Big T's Pizza in Rialto. The cheese is more delicious from big T's. But the sauce is more delicious at Portobello. Overall, I would say the best pizza of the two is Portobello's. read more

They do simple pizza very well, its an all familiar style we know and love but simply well done. So many small pizzerias have simply lost their standards and make you feel disappointed. It may not seem like a compliment, but there aren't many local that make fresh, consistent pizza like Portobello does, its my go to place nearby, they also have some fun sides but I haven't tried them. Their dough is perfect. Its light and fluffy but not greasy nor hard. The cheese is fresh and evenly distributed. The simple things done well make the difference. I have some suggestions and complaints; their online pricing and Yelp pricing don't always match the in store pricing. Its never been false advertising, and usually is just lacking their current specials. I've also been less than happy with the amount of toppings, but the pizza was too good to complain.
