What a good find- customized thin crust pizzas made with fresh ingredients! We got here around 6pm on a Friday night and although there was a line, our orders were taken pretty quickly and the pizzas came hot and fast. Only gripe is the noisiness inside the shop which made it hard to order. Ordered the Jasper with additional toppings (artichokes, fresh tomatoes, and seasoned with rosemary), and the Ulysses also with additional toppings (sun-dried tomatoes, pepperoni and white sauce). Really loved the crunchy thin crust with just the right amount of chew. The pizzas were flavorful and a good amount for the price. The sausage and pepperoni was a bit too salty for my taste, but overall the ingredients tasted fresh and the flavors blended well together. Highly recommend adding the rosemary- really enhances the flavor! After devouring two pizzas, we were really full but didn't feel gross because the pizzas were light even with all this delicious topping. We both liked it better than Pieology and will be back! It has mozzarella cheese,artichokes and dollops of marinara sauce. The mini 6" pizzas are great for one person and it's only $5..47. You won't be overly full from heavy dough. You can also get a larger pizza and do split toppings. Their fig glaze is good if you want sweetness on your pizza. They serve beer and have a nice patio area. This location moved incredibly slowly. There was a very long line but they seemed to focus more on Mobile/phone orders than the people at the counter. I know they had some guests that seemed confused about the process which slowed the line down, but I also didn't think the people behind the counter really cared to help. It was about 30 minutes from the minute I got in line until I got my pizza. The pizza was fine, but certainly not worth the wait. read more

First time here and it's like one mile from my house. I must say it's pretty tasty. Super thin crust and pizza made with pretty much any toppings you want. The only thing they don't have is whole wheat crust, but they do have gluten free for like two bucks more. The pizza seems to be a little bigger than the size of a paper plate. It is $7.47 for any pizza you want made. They accidentally added red peppers to my pizza that I ordered (not a big deal), told me about about it and made me a new one exactly to how I ordered it. They gave me the first pizza in a take home box which was super cool. I bet the place can get packed at lunchtime midweek. There's not a lot of seating inside and there's a small patio outside so plan accordingly. Will def come back here. read more

MOD is one of the coolest pizza places in Irvine ! I visited in June which if you didn't know is pride month. They had tons of rainbow stickers around their store, and even had a deal that if you wore a rainbow you got a better price. As a member of the LGBTQ+ community it's nice to feel seen and safe in a local restaurant. Aside from that cool experience, the food was great, and the people working were extremely helpful. Went here for lunch with my homie. I had a BOGO deal from installing the Irvine Retail map which saved us some cash, and an employee was nice enough to even throw in a free drink as well! We had the mad dog pizza(basically meat lover's), and it was pretty solid overall for the price we were getting. There were also a decent amount of toppings and the wait wasn't too long, though it can get crowded at certain times. Only complaint I have is that when asking for toppings they tend to put small portions, so you'll have to push them a little bit if you like more than the usual onions or olives. I had MOD for dinner two nights ago and albeit being really good, I think the crust is way too thin compared to Blaze/Pieology etc. There are two sizes to select from, a mini (personal) and a regular size. Once choosing your size you can either select from one of their pizza menu options and add as many more toppings as you like or remove from them. They also have beer for the beer lovers and they can make a crust into garlic strips which is pretty much their version of garlic bread. MOD was good but I don't know if I would return because of the paper thin crust. read more

Also, another winner feature is 2 dollar beer on Tuesday - really excellent! Anyway, the pizza is very good, really fresh ingredients, cooked nicely with crispy thin crust while you wait, and overall pretty fast. The staff is friendly...and very, very, very...chill...if you know what I mean. My one word of warning: don't do a weekday lunch rush. My sons birthday was Friday he was starving and this was the closet to home truth be told. My sons favorite Pizza place closed down. It was the local Pizza joint that had been in the area for 30 plus years We were there on the last night it was open, my son actually cried. The guys behind the counter were pretty awesome, allowed my son to really enjoy building his "special birthday pizza" which is a plain ole cheese with extra cheese. We finished off with Jason who rang us up, not sure if hes the guy in charge but he was great as well, my son was super curious about how the Pizza's were made and boxed. Jason kind of gave him a blow by blow how it worked and offered him a job in 10 years. Which by the way he has not stopped talking about. To top it off he gave my son a cupcake for his birthday and just about made my son and wife's day. Lastly they Pizza was a HOMERUN. Crispy crust, that's how my boy and wife like it. Me I am all about the fresh ingredients and creative combinations. Mod met both requirements and they have beer on tap which both my wife and I love. Pizza totally exceeded our expectations. For the record I am writing a review today because I decided to go back earlier today and pick up Pizza's, totally different crew but awesome service again with great Pizza. The staff is just terrible... The guy making the pizza was a real jerk. He gave me the death stare when I said hey as I walked in and just glared at me the whole time while he was making the pizza for no reason... as if he was mad at me for ordering pizza. Tonight at Mod an elderly woman who seemed to be mentally ill and possibly homeless walked in and asked for some ranch dressing. The staff gladly packed her some and handed it over with a smile. She then asked if they gave "free" pizza on people's birthday. The manager came over. She told him her birthday was in December and offered a drivers license to prove it. He told her they didn't usually, but he'd be happy to make her a small pizza. He couldn't have been nicer...even when she was a little demanding on the order. My kids witnessed it all and it warmed our hearts to see that not only did the manager and staff have patience with this woman, but they showed her so much respect and kindness. And my orders are usually simple and not complicated and when I do get it wrong I always try to be polite and patient when they pick the wrong dough for my pizza. I am absolutely DISGUSTED with the way I've been treated here this evening and i will NEVER be back. We used to come here all the time. What's gone wrong??! All our pizzas were burned, one so badly it had to be remade, apparently. But no explanation was given, it was just taken away and only 3 of the 4 pizzas handed over. I asked where the 4th was. He said it's being remade. I asked why? He walked across the room, picked it up, threw it onto the counter in front of me and said "you want it or not?" I said no of course i don't want it! How long is it going to take to remake it?! 10 minutes, he barked back at me. Now I'm sitting here watching my kids eat and waiting for my pizza. Very embarrassed and uncomfortable. No apology, nothing. The attitude of the staff here is mind blowing. He was incredibly rude to me in front of other customers and my children. I have no problem with burnt pizza. Mistakes happen! A simple "I'm so sorry - we accidentally burnt your pizza so we're going to remake it for you, should be about 10 minutes, is that ok?!" would have been perfectly sufficient for me. Instead I got massive attitude and rudeness because I dared to ask where the 4th pizza was that we had ordered and paid for. They used to be so good. I will never come back here again.
