I've dined at various MOD Pizza locations: the Armory, Ballard, Lynnwood-Northpointe, and today's first visit to the Lake Forest Park location. My order was takeout, but wow this particular shift crew had chemistry and incredible enthusiasm. One even broke out in spontaneous song as he created my Donnie selection. The salads are the best thing here though - a family size serves as a side salad for 6, and entree meal for 3. This place is a perfect replacement for the usual fast food contenders. For the price, you get all the toppings you desire with a decent variety of sauces (red, pesto, garlic rub, barbeque...) and toppings (feta, ricotta, mozzarella, mushrooms, greek olives, black olives, artichoke, roasted red peppers, and more). Beyond that, the house made teas and lemonade are delicious and fresh. As long as there is not a huge line, the service is really fast for a top notch meal. read more

Personal flash fired pizzas are a pretty big trend right now, and having been to several reincarnations of these, I can tell you that MOD is doing it right. Thin, crispy, oven-fired pizza is my favorite, and MOD has yet to disappoint. Topping are fresh, high quality, varied, and tasty. I never considered brussels sprouts as a pizza topping, but paired with bacon, olive oil, Gorgonzola, and a fig balsamic glaze (their "seasonal" pizza is the Kasey), it just became one of my favorites. Toppings such as arugula, roasted garlic, Asiago, pesto, and cilantro make for some unique combinations - but if you're a purist, they have plenty of traditional toppings as well. During our first visit, this place was packed, but a line up of cheerful and efficient staff members moved everyone through fairly quickly. My husband and I were completely satisfied with our meals, but I got the impression that if we hadn't been, they would have done their best to make things right. I highly recommend the marionberry lemonade, but if that's not your thing, they have a nice selection of other beverage (including the adult variety) to choose from. The only reason this place is above four stars is because we live in a area where tasteless food is acceptable and where any restaurant who has passed the department of health survey is worthy of consumer attention. I have eaten at other MOD locations throughout the Seattle area and was pleased to see one open up close to my house. 1. Customer service was spot on - really upbeat and ready to help and great the patrons as they can in. For a "fast" meal establishment I was impressed. 2. Wait time was short - even with a decent lunch crowd. Pizza was cook well - crispy and not burst! Well done for just opening a few days ago 3. Pizza ingredients well stocked, clean, and fresh! MOD Pizza is just like Blaze Pizza and Five Pie Pizza Co. in the sense that you get to choose all of your own toppings. Because I've been to other pizza joints that follow this business model, I naturally rated them by comparing them. In my opinion Mod Pizza's quality is a little bit lower. They lose out on their crust specifically. It lacks taste and they don't provide other options for their bases. They have a couple of cheeses to choose from but will just put mozzarella on it unless you speak up. Their sauces are ok; but they have all of the meats (huge plus), and many vegetables which is good as well. Mod Pizza does have a good choice of beer as well along with some cheap wine as well. It's a nice touch considering the place is run like a fast food joint. Overall I think Mod Pizza is worth a visit for a quick lunch one day or on a midweek pickmeup situation. This was my first time trying out MOD Pizza over the past weekend. I've heard nothing but the best reviews on it from family and friends (different locations though), so my friends and I decided to try it out. I'd have to say that the atmosphere was nice and most of the staff were kind. They greeted us as we walked in and asked if we've ever been to MOD. Since it was our first time, the staff ran through how it worked. So, I gave this location a three star rating because of the burnt pizza and because they forgot a topping. I thought I'd make it pretty simple for them and ordered a pizza off the menu-the Salvatore. So they put together the pizza and they asked if I wanted anything else on it, and so I added one more additional topping. The one topping they forgot to add was the fresh basil-which was part of the Salvatore. I figured, they'd add it after it gets baked and so I didn't think too much about it. So, I was the last out of my friends to order and get my pizza, and by the time my pizza was taken out of the oven, the bottom was pretty charred. I didn't even realize it was charred and there was no basil until my friends and I had already left. The top looked perfect, but the bottom was overly cooked. If you have a couple of people who ordered ahead of you, I'd recommend checking the bottom of your pizza(s) before you leave. read more

I really like the product MOD Pizza puts out, but at this location, the attitudes of the employees is what really turns me off. We go here quite frequently, and always dine in. EVERY SINGLE TIME the pizza slices are not cut all the way through, leaving my young kids having to pry the hot slices apart with their fingers, usually burning them in the process. EVERY SINGLE TIME, I bring the pizzas back up to the counter, and ask that they actually CUT the pizza. They shoot their passive aggressive irritated looks at me and then slam the pizza cutter through the pizzas in a very irritated manner. Why the hostility? How about instead of rushing through the cutting process the first time, just do it right and I won't have to come back up to the counter over and over and over. I wouldn't really mind it if they actually tried. But they rush through everything, ask you the same question three different times by three different people taking your order, and then can't even cut the pizza. It happens EVERY SINGLE TIME, and then I get the attitude when I have to ask for them to actually cut the pizza. It's insane. I give the food 5 stars, but the people and process 1 star. Overall, 2 stars. I'll probably give them one more shot, and then move on to other places that give a darn. read more

I have eaten at many MOD pizzas at several locations over the years, including recently, and this was the first time I have ever been disappointed. A friend and I stopped at the Lake Forest Park location a few days ago, and since my friend had never eaten at a MOD pizza, she asked how it worked and about the sizes. The guy on duty flashed a pan at us and said it was for the mini pizza, but he didn't bother to mention that the actual pizza would be several inches smaller than the pan. The actual pizzas, when we got them, were not only scrawny and ridiculously small, but were so thin, overcooked, and hard, it was like eating cardboard. I've bought cheap individual frozen pizzas at the grocery store that were better quality than these. Both of ours were done the same way. For about $12 (counting the tax and tip), you'd think we would have gotten something with more than a few bites and very little taste. I will not be returning. :-( read more

They slammed doors for fun, screamed at each other at the top of their lungs for the lulz, and dropped bags of trash by our table and left them there. When I reached out to Mod, they asked me to explain what happened. I wrote them back to let them know that I am still a fan and just wanted my concerns addressed to management, because I thought it could be an easy fix. Not bad, not too bad at all. I love the Made On Demand concept. I had a nice hot crispy crust with all the toppings I ordered.........however, it was rather bland. My pizza was in dire need of some seasoning. Some oregano, thyme, basil would be terrific, or maybe they just need to bump up their red sauce. It's nice to see MOD continue to grow as they seem to be popping up everywhere. Somehow I missed the fact that this one had been open for several months before I finally made it in and am now very glad to have a MOD location so close to home. When you walk in, the layout is kind of unique although the overall look and feel of the place is definitely MOD. Customer service here was very fast as you would expect and every employee is very eager to help. I had never been to MOD Pizza before, but I'd heard great things from some of my friends and my parents. This new location is right near my parents' house, so the three of us headed over to give it a try. The staff were all incredibly friendly! Welcoming us as we arrived and explaining the menu to newbie me. They were also cheerful and worked quickly. I had the mini Tristen with onions added and a side Caesar salad. I loooved the crust in the pizza. Very thin and a bit crispy. The flavors were great and everything was cooked just right. And I must say, as someone with a small stomach, a mini MOD pizza is just the right amount of pizza! The Caesar was good, although it could have used a smidge more dressing. The homemade croutons were out of this world! Prices were great and the interior of the place was clean and inviting. I saw they have milkshakes with mix-ins!! That is something I will have to try next time :) Overall, I really enjoyed MOD Pizza and I hope to go back soon. I just found out there's a location near me in Kent! Woohoo! read more
