While out and about in the Ballinger Way Northeast area this morning, Friday 18 July 2025, I decided to stop by the Pagliacci Pizza for a slice of pizza. Parking was well designated and straightforward to navigate in and out of. The front of the building was clearly marked and the interior was clean. A friendly worker greeted me soon upon my entry and I looked over the pizza options in the pizza bar area. Interested in something plain, I went with a slice of cheese pizza and opted for it warmed when asked if I wanted it heated up. Payment went without hiccup. I grabbed a few napkins and was off to my car. The crust was thin, not soggy, and well warmed through. I could taste the tomato-red sauce and the cheese was a thickness that I could taste and did not weigh the crust down. A good all around experience. read more

We always order from the Ballinger Pagliacci Pizza. When I went to pick up our order tonight, they didn't have my order. One of them said, "this is Pagliacci" as if I didn't know where I was! Then one of them said, "this is Ballinger" and I kind of chuckled and said, "I know, this where we get our pizzas." I had all my order info on my phone to prove my order. I was asked at least 3 times what my phone number was and I told them. I was asked a couple times what my name was. They even not just looked at my phone as I held it out so they could see my order information but then one took my phone and even tried to scroll to see the order number. What he was looking at was a screenshot so I then showed the whole order. Instead of someone At least starting my order, they wasted time trying to figure out how they could not have the order. Telling me where I was and then to location was condescending in my opinion. I'm a pretty intelligent person who knows where I am and where I ordered my pizza!! Come on Pagliacci, do better! To go order There is different levels of pizza, frozen/quick service pizza, mid range and fancy I typically struggle to find pizza in the first two ranges mostly because of the pizza sauce. I was pleasantly surprised with this pizza and would get it again. It's on the higher end of mid and great price fore the amount of food and quality Only item I would pass on is the salad or ask them to put the dressing on the side. read more

I just spent almost $60 on dinner. I'm one person. I feel like I've been ripped off. On top of that, it wasn't even that good.Why is ONE pizza $40??? That's insane!! We order a 17 inches half half and pick up ourselves. Staff is friendly and kind. I like the South Philly I order, every ingredient works well with each other. I'm not a big fan of cheese so South Philly is one of the options as it doesn't contain too much cheese. The dough it is thin and fluffy, my partner loves the pizza crust and claims it's the only pizza crust he'd eat. However, I do sprinkle a bit of salt when eating the pizza as it's a bit too plain to me. The chili flakes are too spicy to me and doesn't really make the pizza tastier. When I say spicy, it literally means burning hot spicy, no other flavor like the Sichuan chili flakes. read more

I used to love Pagliacci, but they've really gone downhill. I visited yesterday, and the slice bar looked sad. The "Extra Pepperoni" slice that was sitting there looked like it had been sitting there for hours. I got 2 slices of their monthly special, Chantrelle Prosciutto, and it basically tasted of salt. At $5 a slice, it just isn't worth it. Service was not very friendly. I won't be back. read more

I think Pagliacci has proven to be the best pizza joint for years now, at least in my opinion. And their pizza is always consistent and I think that's what I love the most about it and their customer service. If you have any issues with your order, you can just call their customer service and they will send you a new one, with less interrogation. It's also very convenient to order a pizza, you can either call, or order through the app. I usually use my app because it stores all your orders and you can order a pizza in less than a minute. However, I used the app today and because I was in a rush, I ended up ordering the wrong pizza for my kids. They definitely don't eat spicy chicken pizza, meant to order cheese pizza. When I went to pick up the pizza, the rep will actually open up the box and verify if your order is accurate. At that point, I realized what I had done and felt back because my kids were hungry. Emily who was the store manager was so caring and helpful that she had another pizza done in like 10 minutes since there wasn't anybody or any orders. It means a lot to me that this place and company cares so much about their customers and couldn't be happier, I actually went back in my car to bring some more cash to tip them since they were awesome. read more

placed a phone order and was told pizza would be read in 30 minutes. arrived at the 30 min mark and had to wait 20 minutes longer. the young man at cash register was friendly. pizza was a little disappointing. the GF pizza could of been a little crispy. and the Brooklyn pizza lacked a little flavor. only a few people were in the restaurant but I head home be of the worker say that 50 order had just come thru the phone orders. read more

Yep it's me! My friends and I discovered this GREAT pizza spot after not wanting to leave the house for dinner. If I'm being honest I really wasn't expecting the pizza to be good but we were blown away! The crust had so much flavor and that nice thick chewiness a good crust has. We also tried the Centioli which we had never heard of before BUT it's DELICIOUS!!! It's thin, cheesy and crispy and has a little spice to it! I've become a fan of Pagliacci ever since they got a vegan cheese option. I hear they use Good Planet, not sure if this is true, but it does seem to be meltier and creamier than some other vegan cheese options. Their topping selection also seems to be superior to other places. I love the pickled red onions and roasted garlic. The calzones have been my covid delivery option of choice. I love how simple it is to order online, how everything comes with contactless delivery (unless you order alcohol, which they also have) and how they are trying their best to support other small businesses by having occasional specials where you get a treat from another local place with your order. The drivers have been nice enough to ring the door and then wait at the end of the driveway to make sure you open the door and retrieve your food. Beer seems reasonably priced and saves you from having to take a separate trip to the store. They also carry local brands, a 6 pack is about 12$. I'm not sure if I've ever actually been in this location, but I do plan to go in and check out their slice selection some day. read more

Nobody makes roasted garlic pizza like Pagliacci's. I start to question my sanity that $30 for a basic thin crust pizza is just pushing it. Still one of our favs, but have to ration the passion. Perfect combo of cheese, sauce and good crust. They do skimp on toppings. read more

Y'all don't be sleeping on good ol' Pagliacci's! This has been my go to pizza for many years now, and I've rarely lived near one or even in their delivery area. I drive 40 minutes round trip just to enjoy the deliciousness that is a large extra pepperoni pizza and the Pagliacci Salad (garbanzos on the side, with an extra dressing). The app is super easy to order from, rewards are a nice treat, the staff is AMAZING, and the pizza is flat out delicious. Knocking off a star because the crust is not always consistently cooked sometimes it's a little less done than it should be, but it never deters me! read more

Wait times are reasonable and this is an overall good spot to grab a pizza with a decent dining area. Being a Philadelphian, I'm a bit of a pizza snob. Pagliacci delivers a decent "Seattle style" East Coast pizza that does the the trick when I have a craving. Their prices are high, though. An 18" cheese pizza is like $20. I get the same size pizza in Pennsylvania for $11. They pay their employees well from what I hear so I guess that's the trade off. Talk about delicious pizza, holy smokes! This is some of the best pizza I've had in a long time. Super thin crust, perfectly seasoned sauce, and the toppings are thick and delicious. We had half Brooklyn bridge and half extra pepperoni. We had wished we ordered two large pizzas instead of doing half and half. This pizza is way too easy to eat and was gone in a flash. Also, because the crust is so thin, you do eat a little bit more pieces, but I LOVE That you can fold the slice in half like a taco and take big bites, YUM. I know ... not even close to each other right? I ordered to go and sat with a glass of white wine while I waited. Cashier said about 20 min. but I didn't even make it through my glass before they called my name. I have never had roasted garlic on a pizza and I have to say I'm a fan. The Italiano was garlicky and cheesy (fontina). Two things I love. Red wine would have been great with this pie. The Chicken sausage was slightly spicy due to the peppers. I wasn't as excited about this half but I was still different and tasty. The service is more helpy selfy with sit down places to eat. This location serves a limited beer and wine selection. Pagliacci of course! Where else would we get our pizza when there's a Pagliacci close by? When it comes to pizza, for me, it's 70% crust and 30% toppings. Sure, I love toppings but chopped bell pepper is chopped bell pepper. What really separates and elevates a pizza is a superior crust. Pagliacci's crust is crispy on the outside and chewy on the inside. It has a bite to it, it's not soft or spongy like so many bad national pizza brands. Dominoes, Pizza Hut and especially, Papa Johns ( the worst pizza in the known universe), comes to mind. We ordered pizza here during a power outage a few weeks ago. The kitchen was a little backed up but when we ordered, they were honest about it and gave us an expected wait time. The pizza was ready early which was great. For someone who doesn't eat out a lot due to allergies and being vegan, I was pleasantly surprised. They had a vegan cheese option which was fantastic. The pizza tasted amazing and the cheese was really creamy. The bread and soft but chewy and the vegetables were clearly fresh.
