MOD Pizza - Fast Food Near Me - Layton, Utah

I will start by saying the food was decent. My wife and I walked in at about 7:45 PM on Wednesday July 5th. There was a group of 4 already sitting with their food and a group of two that were waiting for their food. There were two people in the kitchen leaning against the prep counter ( which would be fine since they were not busy). It took several minutes to even be welcomed. Was greeted by a young lady who was obviously unhappy with her job and wasn't afraid to show it to the customers. Pure attitude. Other person started making takeout orders and putting pizzas in the oven. He was great, friendly and helpful. The entire restaurant was pretty disgusting, food scraps all over many of the tables, sticky floors, dirty dishes laying on the floor of the kitchen. I hate to give a low rating but between the employee that assembled our pizzas and the condition of the restaurant we will make the trip to the Riverdale location if we want CYO pizzas. It's unfortunate because the young man making takeout orders was great. read more

I've been looking for a good wood fired pizza location since I moved to the area in June. I decided to order take out one night from MOD and was immediately impressed with the huge menu! I ended up with a gluten free pizza with chicken sausage and tons of veggies and it was so great! The service was super fast, too, and I think I maybe only waited 30 minutes so no complaints there! I ordered a large, family-sized, salad to go today, and when I opened it a few minutes ago, I discovered that the assorted greens were so old they were slimy and not edible. The other ingredients -- olives, onions, etc. -- on top of the greens were fine, so I went through the salad and discarded all the greens. I now have about a cup of misc salad ingredients left. I guess the lesson here is to have them show you the greens before you accept them. The salad was HORRIBLE! (I tried to call them and lodge a complaint with the manager, but apparently that's not possible. So I'm telling Yelp readers instead.) read more

I generally love MOD, but this pizza was a DISASTER. It was a chewy, soppy, mess. I could tilt my pizza and watch some sort of liquid cascade through the toppings. They came up with all sorts of excuses ("there's just too much cheese." "It's because of the sauce your ordered") that made no sense since this is the pizza I order every single time. The second pizza we ordered hardly had any cheese whatsoever. They gave me a credit for a free pizza, but I wish they would admit that they did something wrong instead of trying to blame it on me. The food quality, variety, freshness and value are great. One person handling fresh foods had a full beard which was not covered with a hairnet. The person putting pizzas in the oven also had a beard that was not covered and a nose ring. Blaze Pizza is a competitor and I feel they are much more generous with toppings. read more

I was looking forward to trying Mod. I ordered online for a 6 15 pick up I got there 10 minutes early and it was already done, We found the pizza cold and under cooked. The dough was white without any crispiness. They earn a second star because the toppings were tasty. (but not very plentiful.) read more

We usually love his place but tonight we went in and ordered to go. We ordered 3 pizzas and they fired them in two separate batches instead of keeping them together like they should have so the first pizza came out and sat on the counter waiting for the other two in the order. They kept opening the box because they had the rest of their orders confused so by the time the other pizzas were finally out of the oven, the first pizza was already cold. read more

Do yourself a favor and drive to another MOD location because these guys SUCK at making a pizza....unless you are into NO TOPPINGS. I called and gave them a chance to make it right but apparently the "General Manager" made the pizza which I spoke with and clearly they want to keep the toppings from going on the pizza so more of the green toppings $$$ can go into their bank account!! Ok my kids have been carrying on about this place for a while now and I have wanted to try it and just barely made it there. Wow I see what all the buzz is about. Who doesn't love pizza? Well this is a great upgrade to an American favorite. The pizza I had was designed by me and skilled hands put it together. It had the old school pizza flavors with my favorite add ons. This is now my favorite pizza location because of the quick-service & wonderful outcome! I love that they do free floats on Mondays, just another reason to come in! Very disappointed in the service. Waited in line over 1 hour and the line was not that long. Found out they would do phone in orders ahead of in person orders. 2 couples and they took the order of the couple with us and then did 10 phone orders before our order. The couple we invited and recommended come with us got their pizza and finished eating before we got our pizza ordered. Never again will I go there. I had wondered why there were gaps in the line ahead of us but not till we got up there did we see what was going on. Wished I would have left like so many others behind had. Will go to Wingstop next door or Five Guys or Cafe Rio. Even Papa Murphys across street will get my business. Been there multiple times, but NEVER again. read more

My boyfriend and I go here a couple times a month. It's good and has fair prices but we would like to see better beer choices.

SO disappointed. We have been several times to the store in Riverdale and have always enjoyed it there. The food is fantastic, the service is so fast, and the place is clean. We went to the Layton store because it's closer to home. We had three people in line in front of us and waited 20 minutes to place our order. The girl making the pizzas was moving at a snail's pace. We eventually left. So sad. read more
