The family member who assisted us was attentive and wonderful conversation. They are incredibly transparent on their food process and ensuring people with allergies and restrictions are able to eat their food. The food is fresh and you can taste it. I got the bindi masala at medium heat and it is my favorite I've gotten by far. The okra and onions are cooked perfectly to create a satisfyingly delectable flavor with a savory building up heat. The vegetable samosas are also my favorite in the area! They create an in-house sauce of brown sugar with spices, and it is my absolute favorite sauce I've had with samosas. It's better than chutney or tomato sauce. The sweetness and spices are perfect with the savory flavor of the samosas. The aromas of the varieties of spices light up the atmosphere.

More importantly, the person in the corporate marketing department who decided that bone-in chicken shouldn't be an option in this neck of the woods might want to collaborate with colleagues at other chicken chains that have realized great national success AND include strips on the menu. #ModPizza at new location off 96 in League City. Not a fan. We just went for our first try and were excited based on the reviews everyone has given them. They took our order, made our pizza, burned the Garlic Strips (they did catch it) set our pizza to the side in the box along with the cinnamon strips. So, pizza sat there for about 5 min while they were making the other, at least they informed us. When we picked up the order, they gave us a coupon for a free pizza, so, figured ok. Got home, pizza was ok, garlic sticks were good. Then, went to try the cinnamon strips. They are pictured below....I think they had to have messed up the cinnamon sticks and thought it was garlic, unless they really do put Garlic and parm on the cinnamon sticks. Tried calling the store...no answer, called again, no answer, called back, left a message this time. Very disappointed. Doubt we will even use the free coupon.... gave them one star because I had to. read more

My wife and I were tired of going to the same restaurants in and around Galveston. I was looking for a new pizza place a little closer to home and found Pizza Fire. I read some reviews, and someone mentioned trying MOD instead. I looked up MOD and was blown away by what this company does and stands for, so I picked up my wife and didn't tell her where we were going. I chose the League City location and we were both thoroughly impressed! From the minute we walked in, we knew we'd be back without even eating yet. Ordering was fast and easy. The very nice lady at the start of the line explained how they worked and walked us through the process. We got our pizza super fast after ordering and devoured that pizza in no time at all. The unlimited toppings are a big selling point for us. Everything is so fresh and delicious. Great staff, too. We'll be back to this location as well as many, many more. Highly recommend! read more

My favorite employee was let go?! This man has never been anything but kind and friendly. Brian was awesome, so friendly and always made my pizza perfect. He went the extra mile to be sure that we were taken care of. I have to travel to the area all the time to see my transplant team, and I always make a point to come in here. I cannot support a business who would let go one of its most dedicated and best employees over a review without even looking into that employees track record, and the incident in question. This business will suffer without Brian, and I won't be supporting it any longer. Further, I will let my friends and family in the area know that they shouldn't be supporting the business either. I feel the business could have investigated, counseled the employees, and chosen a better course of action. I am extremely disappointed! read more

i just wanted to take a moment to talk about David Mclemore.. This man is the best boss that i have ever had in my whole life. I have never gone in to work to see this man without a smile on his face, and ive never seen anyone interact with the guests with such glee. This man has bent over backwards for me and most of the staff on multiple occasions and he embodies the very principles that mod is known for. This man would give you the shirt off his back and i respect him greatly and hold him in the highest regard. You can tell he truly loves his work, his employees and MOD Pizza. The pizza was good enough (and convenient enough) for a return to-go order. And another. And plenty more on top of that. Ambiance really isn't a thing here, since it's pickup and to-go orders. Service at the drive-thru window has always been courteous and efficient. The online app, however, is anything but intuitive and it doesn't seem to communicate well with the individual locations. I've experienced it here, and I know others who have experienced the same thing at other locations -- so I'm fairly confident that the app issue is more of a corporate thing. Thankfully, a quick phone call to this location will yield information about the current specials. I'm sort of a pizza snob, and this place makes some of the best bar-style pizza that I've ever had the pleasure of eating -- chain or no chain. The sauce has a little bite. The cheese is anything but greasy. The pepperoni is thin and slightly spicy, though it's not the cup and curl variety that I love so much. Ultimately, what makes this a bar-style pizza is its thin cracker crust. It holds up even on a trip home in 40-degree weather with cold rain falling. -- The regular crust is meh in my opinion, but the cheesy bread with the accompanying marinara tastes like I went to sleep and woke up on the set of The Sopranos. Really. All of this is a testament to excellent management. Someone knows how to hire management. And management also knows how to hire team members. The fact that I'm a repeat customer (and a pizza snob) pretty much says it all. Still, here are a few facts about this location. - Service and atmosphere are nice. - (Craft) beer selection is not the greatest, but that's not a deal-breaker. - Both times I've had the bar pie, the crust was floppy. The slices folded over like a damp dishrag. A true bar pie is supposed to have an exceptionally thin, cracker-like crust. Not happening here. But that's no biggie, because this place is called Via 313, with the 313 representing the iconic Detroit area code. And the bar pie was not invented in Detroit. As for the Detroit-style pizza here? It's spectacular and pretty much checks all the boxes. - The crust is thick, light and airy with wonderfully crispy caramelized edges. This is accomplished using blue steel (square) pans -- just like the inventor of this pizza style did. - The sauce is also thick, slightly sweet and punchy with Italian seasoning. Definitely reminiscent of the stuff you find in the Motor City. - An authentic Detroit-style pizza includes Wisconsin brick cheese, which is similar to Monterey Jack. I'm not sure what cheese they use here, but it's rich, with a nice stretch. - The pepperoni here is good, but it didn't seem to be a legit cup-and-char variety ... at least not on my visits. Cup-and-char is essential when it comes to this style. Though the pepperoni cupped, there was nary a char. - Finally, these folks reverse-layer the pizza properly. Bottom line: Steer clear of the bar pie, unless you like floppy crust. Instead, go for the Detroit-style, and you'll be in for a real treat.

Searching for something different from Domino's and Pizza Hut? Come on over to Village where you get fresh, piping hot large pies my brother said need at least four people to finish. Aside from generous size, the pizza isn't stingy on cheese and toppings. Both are included at a recently nice ratio. And the wings ... *moans like Homer Simpson*. I could wolf down the equivalent of my weight because they skin is nicely cooked to a crisp and the meat is juicy. There are other VP&S branches elsewhere in Galveston County. I know Dickinson has one as does Texas City. I believe the one in Santa Fe is still open.
