Tadka 96 is a true hidden jewel in League City. It's in a parking lot in between Clear Falls and Mod Pizza, so it's a bit easy to miss. The service is absolutely incredible and accommodating with such a lovely atmosphere. I have dietary restrictions as I am vegan, and they made a wheat flatbread replacement for the naan for me. The family member who assisted us was attentive and wonderful conversation. They are incredibly transparent on their food process and ensuring people with allergies and restrictions are able to eat their food. The food is fresh and you can taste it. I got the bindi masala at medium heat and it is my favorite I've gotten by far. The okra and onions are cooked perfectly to create a satisfyingly delectable flavor with a savory building up heat. The vegetable samosas are also my favorite in the area! They create an in-house sauce of brown sugar with spices, and it is my absolute favorite sauce I've had with samosas. It's better than chutney or tomato sauce. The sweetness and spices are perfect with the savory flavor of the samosas. The aromas of the varieties of spices light up the atmosphere. read more

The food was amazing, made fresh to order. The butter chicken was excellent. The food takes a minute and it's without a doubt worth it knowing the effort behind it and the delicious result. The samosa chaat had a fresh made yogurt with a distinctive quality from other yogurts I've had. Rox: we ordered this over the phone for pickup and asked them to make both curries as spicy as possible. The flavor was really good, but you could've fed the spice level to a toddler without them flinching unfortunately. We had to load it up with chili oil, chili flakes, cayenne pepper, AND fresh jalapeño at home (thank god we had it on hand!). Garlic naan and samosas were really good though. Was craving Indian food so I decided to order uber eats from this restaurant for the first time since I had never seen it on the app before. I decided on the butter chicken. It comes with rice and one piece of naan. I also ordered veg samosas to go with it. The naan was the most delicious naan I've ever had. The butter chicken was good too but the pieces of chicken were a bit big for me. I like smaller pieces. Overall I would say the portion size was smaller than what I've had ordering from other Indian restaurants. Also, the samosas were good too but I did not enjoy them as much as I normally would because when I opened my bag I saw that the tamarind sauce had spilled everywhere inside of the bag and onto the container that the samosas were in. It kinda sucked eating my samosas without the sauce. I can't blame the restaurant 100% because I'm mot sure if it spilled due to the way it was transported by the driver or not but what I will say is that if it was packaged correctly to begin with, it probably wouldn't have spilled. I went here again for a second time on a Sunday night to try their Chicken Tikka Masala. It was similar to the butter chicken which I love, but not as dense in creaminess volume. It had that nice blend of savory, tangy, subtly sweet n very subtle spice vibe in one mix. Very delicious, authentic, homemade, aromatic and full of soft chicken. The rice was very good, fluffy and fresh. That naan was not only very fresh, but slightly crispy, nicely starchy and very good in taste too. Great, friendly service again. I added aloo (potatoes) to the kadai. Every dish was bursting with flavor! The kadai was savory, bold, and spicy. I absolutely will be going back here. Also, they were so kind!!! I got my chicken tikka medium spice level (mild, medium, hot) and it was a perfect amount of spicy for me as someone who enjoys their spice at a light to medium spice level. My husband had the Tikka Masala and I had the Vindaloo Chicken, we had the Tadka Pops to start. All was delicious with the right amount of spice. The Naan was homemade, and the owner and her family were very welcoming. She gave us some of her homemade ice cream to try. I had rose and my husband had mango. It was so creamy! A friend and I went on a week night to try dishes from their Indian menu. Even though I've lived in the area since the early 90s, I had never set foot in Lilly Seafood until I read that there was Indian food here. We were greeted by a nice young woman who explained the dishes on the Indian menu. At the time, the menu was written on an A-frame menu stand. We ordered samosas, the butter chicken, the tikka masala, a kind of paneer, and naan. The restaurant is quite small but clean, although you can definitely tell it is a fish fry type joint. There is a table with to-go boxes, paper hot dog trays, and plastic silverware (self-serve). You also have to buy bottles of water or soda, which I found most confounding. We were dining in, and we were expecting a dine-in experience. To add to the fish fry type environment, we were given plastic ware to eat our food. I don't think it will hurt them to provide water in cups... The food, though, is pretty great. The samosas are crispy and flavorful. The creamy butter chicken and sweet tikka masala are excellent. We preferred the butter chicken over the tikka. The naan is great. The paneer was probably the weak link here. All in all, we enjoyed the food a lot and will definitely add this to our rotation of eat out places. It's about time this side of town got a decent Indian restaurant. But trust me, try this place out. They also have amazing seafood which they call the "coastal" menu. As well as, a "western" menu. With cheeseburgers, tenders and some other things. The flavor is not a good gumbo. Definitely missing some flavor ingredients. I would give the gumbo a 1 star. Fried shrimp platter was good. You get to pick how many shrimp you want on the plate; 7, 9, 12, 15, 20, & 30. The shrimp was well battered and fried. Fries were crispy, with some kind of flavoring sprinkled on them. This was our first time at this restaurant. What struck me was the kindness of the waiter and the sweet cook (the owner perhaps?). Our order was freshly made and you could tell she made it with pride. We had scrumptious Chicken Tikka Masala, naan, and appetizers. The menu was vast with seafood, western favorites, but it was the Indian food we came to try. There's very few restaurants in our area that aren't fast food chains or worth a second visit.
