We have ordered pizza at this location three times now and while the food is good, the customer service is terrible! The person making the pizza never smiled, was rather rude and really made us feel like we really should not be there...maybe the problem was that THEY did not want to be there. Walked in and the place was very clean. The staff had a happy upbeat attitude welcoming guests as they walked in. Very eager to help explain my first experience. Live inland, but go to the beach often to eat. First time trying Mod Pizza. Was pleasantly surprised. First time I have ever ordered my own personal pizza (11 inch) with all the toppings you want. Same price. No matter how high you pile the toppings on. And really good toppings, quality meats and vegetables. And cooked in a brick oven. Heard the people that were in line in front of us complaining about the wait, but you are in Myrtle Beach, dinner time, during tourist season. I didn't think the wait was to bad, and I will never complain about waiting for good food! Very clean inside, and nice people making your pie for you. The drink station was clean, and the lemonade was sooooo good! I often judge a good place by the chance of visiting again. Absolutely loved my first time at MOD. The concept is like a Chipotle for pizza, if you will. You go down the line and select whatever toppings you want and you can get as many as you want for the same price, which for the MOD 11" pizza was $7.99. Very reasonable for a great pizza that filled me up and had me carrying a slice home. Love the thin crust and order it extra crispy, which will make it a tad black on the bottom (Great). read more

Rude. The d bag tall guy working the front was so unbelievably rude. We Had never been there - DUH, we are tourists like 98% of the people in the town. We were looking at the menu and he asked us every 20 seconds aggressively if we were ready to order. When we asked which salad was the best and he said " I have no idea". Super helpful, huh? He continued to rush us through our order, Being Patronizing, condescending and passive aggressive the entire time. They were out of lots of things due to a shortage of items across the country. They even had a handy sign posted which listed which items they were out of , except most of the items on the sign were Incorrect and they actually did have them. It was confusing and he was again, rude, condescending and impatient. He muttered things under his breath about us to his coworkers but continued to " yes ma'am" us to death like we were total idiots and couldn't hear. I had to walk away so that I didn't lose temper. Obviously this guy needs to get a new gig because he's completely miserable. Take a little pride in what you do and how you treat people. The food was fine. When they have to make your pizza 3xs cause the lady in front of you didnt remenber what she ordered and took yours and ate it. How do you walk a line and personally tell the pizza maker what you want on #your pizza, then pick up and eat something you didnt order? So they made me what they thought was MY pizza,nope it was the pizza #she ordered. 3rd try,they make me my pizza. The manager then made me another,plus gave me the mistake pizza boxed up to GO. Once we figured out the system, we were able to order. The pizza was good. The salad greens for my husband's salad were a little tired. There were three women working. One of them threw the pizzas on the counter and not the plates. The tables were dirty. One employee spent the entire time talking with a friend at a table. We asked to have our table cleaned and it was wiped with a dirty rag. Pointed out other dirty tables but no one lifted a finger to clean them. Very disappointing service. Stopped in for lunch because they were having a fundraiser to support the local animal shelter. We have been in several Mod Pizzas before but this was our first time at this location. The pizza was fresh and delicious as we have come to expect from Mod Pizza. While we were eating there was a gentleman cleaning counters, tables etc. the place is kept very clean from what we could see. The staff greeted us when we walked in, asked if we were enjoying our lunch, and made sure to say goodbye as we got up to leave. Everyone was super friendly! We will definitely go back! read more

We had a great experience here while vacationing in NMB! It was very fun making our own pizza and watching them add the toppings (like a Subway- just pizza!) it is nice because you pay per size of pizza and you can put unlimited toppings - meats cheeses and veggies. Pizza is thin crust but not crispy like some- I even ate the crust on these and I don't normally on Pizza Hut or comparable thin crusts. Wish they had a Large size - but the medium and mini were fine for our party of three. Even got one to go! :). They also serve beer here which is cool! The employees were very nice and we felt welcome. They have pellet ice like Sonic (!) and a great selection of drinks as well. We wish we weren't so far away so we could go back!! :) read more

The owners need a brain, someone needs to tell then that the loud music that the customers are forced to endure is not what we want.  We were one of 3 different couples eating there in mid afternoon, meaning it was slow, yet every body at every table is yelling at each other because of the stupid music.  We left there is bad moods and will never go back.  I don't get it, do they really believe that people want to hear something that is so dominating?  Wake up you are just a fast food joint and driving customers away.  You are allowing your employees to play music, where as customers don't want any music let alone that loud. read more

How do you run a restaurant with two employees only? Poor management results in places closing down. Shame. Good product, lousy management.

Had two of their 11 inch pizzas. It was evident that the staff was not paying attention to the 800 degree gas fired oven as one crust was fine but the other was burnt to a crisp. One would think the staff would pay attention to the crust and if burnt due to being in the oven too long a guest would get a "do over". What really turned us off was the staff person wearing no gloves and placing 4 or 5 dough balls on his left arm while placing them on the dough press. Just thinking about his sweaty arms touching the dough and what hair may have come off was a total turn off. Why he felt the need to place so many dough balls on his arm was beyond me S it was unclean and not efficient. Maybe he was practicing being a waiter for a white table cloth restaurant down the road to carry 5 plates? The manager paid no attention. This location does not follow good business practices and would not be given a good rating by a health department. So one burnt crust and human sea salt added to the dough. Ugh! read more

When this place first opened it was great. The food was amazing and the employees were awesome. I eat at the one in Fayetteville 2 times a month and the one in NMB 2 times a month. This one has gone down hill fast. The employees are not friendly and don't care if you are there or not. They hold personal conversations while supposedly helping you. I've been wanting to try MOD pizza for a number of years but just never had the chance to. While on vacation I decided to check it out since I really love pizza. For the most part the staff was fine. My issue was more with the actual pizza itself. It looked great as did the side salad but it really wasn't favorable in the least. The dough was very bland and soggy. The broccoli pieces you could add to the salad were burnt and none of the ingredients tasted fresh. The side salad wasn't great either and I left there with an upset stomach. It's such a cool concept but really just wasn't what I was hoping for. read more
